Just because there's no match doesn't mean I can't write about it.

I hate it when you have no axe to grind David.  Bit like having a cat but no mice.

At the risk of repeating myself I'm enjoying my Sunday midday coffee and thebirminghampress.com. Saying it extremely quietly I'm actually pleased to see Coventry advance in the cup god knows their fans have had it bad - they deserve a break.

The mention of Leyton Orient threw me into a misty eyed nostalgic moment, my first ever Villa away game was at Brisbane Road. We lost 1-0.

When you scour the non leagues now it is frightening the amount of recognised league teams that are down there. As yet there are none that have appeared in the premiership although Sunderland could hold that record if they don't get their act together

Luton weren't far off being in the Premier League.

Coventry, Swindon and Portsmouth are the ones that have been closest I think.
