Lost 3-0 at Liverpool in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
I remember game this for being bitterly. bitterly cold sat in the stand opposite where the players come out - is it called Kemlyn Road ?
I remember us winning the toss and smiling to myself as we made Liverpool kick to towards the Kop in the "first" half. However, I soon stopped smiling when Ian Rush put them in front in the first minute! A fairly abysmal performance as I remember and my main memory was walking round the record shops before the game and buying a mono copy of the Beatles For Sale LP!
Anyone else almost freeze up there on this day in 1985.

Yes, I was there with my then fiancee (now wife), sitting the same stand. It was, as you say, extremely cold and I think that was the day she realised what she was letting herself in for by agreeing to marry me in May of that year!

I was there in the main stand. Subjected to locals guffawing at the fighting in the Anfield Road end at half time.

Hovel of a ground then and now. One of my less than looking forward to venues. As for the match we didn’t turn out

Yes I was there. Abysmal all round. Various outbreaks of fighting before the game. The odd firework being thrown into our section for good measure. They scored in the first minute and that was it, we gave in.

Totally agree with you, but hope we will be going there next season

Many thanks for posting this - I'm sure I've not seen the goals since being there on the day itself.
