Defining game in our season a win will set us on our way, a performance like we showed at wolves would be a big downer.  Take a draw now but am pumped for a win

Very tough game but I think we may have enough

We have to go there and be positive and take the game to them - first 15 mins is critical

1-0 Chester

They have good pace up front which rules Samba out of defending but think we could score so 1-1 with fingers crossed.

I'm feeling positive about this a lot of people think we will draw or lose Leeds are not brilliant and I'm confidant about our chances we are Aston Villa and if we want to get promoted then these are the games we must win so I reckon 2-0.

Tough game, this.  Can't see past a draw, probably 1-1.  Arthur Graham for them, Mark Burke equalising late on.

The Leeds defence is not particularly good so as long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot we should get a draw at least. Samba at the back does worry me though. Against Ipswich I commented to my daughter that I don't think I have ever seen a villa player as big as him. Height wise maybe but just overall size I can't remember a bigger player.

Sadly I think a loss. Hope I am wrong. I just cant remember us having much luck at Elland Road. I think Bruce will park the bus going for a point but it wont be enough and we will concede then chase a bit. 1-0 to the bad guys.

For those of you travelling: it has snowed today and it's friggin' cold right now.
Just saying ...

... see you at Elland f**king Road - a despicable ground with a very dislikeable local contingent.

As for the result: their home form has been very in and out - if we defend well we could get all three points, but I think it requires Bruce to put Hutton at LB and bring Elmo back at RB, in my view. And Hourihane needs to step up and be counted.

Yeah, it pains me to say it, but I don't think we can keep relying on Albert to bang in the goals. I think a draw would be a good result, but they will probably just nick it.

The same game last season probably finished Gollini in Bruce's eyes. Awful game if I recall correctly. We are a much better balanced team this term. Can't imagine we will be outfought but share the concerns about our goal threat if Adamoah is held. I'd expect Onomoah to play a lot deeper, effectively in a 3 with Hourihane and Whelan.

I agree with this. We looked good with those two at full back, and Taylor was pretty dreadful in the last two games.

I like Onomah, and hope his showing tonight is more QPR away, than at the Sty. He needs to become a big game player for us. Good luck to him, and I like your confidence Aftab!

Last year Rouf was the difference with his running.

This time we have Onomah, Davis and Snoddy who will run them off the park.

We never hear their embarrassing "we are the Champions of Europe" song. I doubt Forest do either. Sad twats.

I have gone for a draw and I would happily take that. My memories of Elland Road are of my first two visits when we beat them there in the league and the cup in SGT's first season and Deano's debut for us when he had a goal ruled out and Hodge got a late equaliser for them. Also, I think they beat us 5-2 in the league and 4-1 in the league cup quarter finals in Dr Jo's season and 1-4 at Villa Park in BFR's first season. The quarter final thrashing was on the night the first gulf war kicked off and the loss under BFR was the day Freddie Mercury died.

If it was a flat two maybe, but with Whelan deeper and Hourihane and Onomah's mobility I dont think we will be caught out like at Wolves where we were overrun.

I think Villa will win this one

0 - 3 Adomah, Snoddy and Grealish (late goal as a substitute). Another clean sheet for Samba and Chester.

Would like to see Hutton at left back and Elmo back in he team as it gives more attacking threat.

I don't have a good feeling about it.  But then, neither did I have one about Preston a few weeks ago.  I just don't know how it will go. If we play like we did against Ipswich we will have every chance but I expect Leeds to have a bit more about them than Ipswich.  I'd take the draw now.

I didn't fancy us against Preston either. This will be a tough one and I would like to see us beat a so called big team. Not sure on the result but I fancy Samba to score the first goal.

We need some key players to step up tonight - mainly in midfield where it will be won or lost

Whelan - needs to really get stuck into them and break up play - freezing cold night, hostile home crowd - should be right up his street
Hourihane - really needs to get a grip and keep the pace going, especially quick balls out to Albert - also to get closer to the front 2 of Davis and Onomah
Onomah - Really needs to be close to Davis

Davis - needs to harass,  bully and upset their defenders

It's strange, they're certainly not invincible but their name/the atmosphere generated seems to put us on our guard as fans as much as players. If this was on tomorrow afternoon and our players put on Walsall shirts I'd be a lot more confident. Would be surprised and disappointed to see us lose though and think we might nick it.

The more I look at that game, and I'm still not sure why he went with Hogan in a 442, It does sink in that we were undone by a worldy of a goal then minutes later whilst we rejigged the CH pairing after our captain went off they capitalised again and we were 2 behind. Although we huffed and puffed it was always going to be difficult to break them down.  Maybe it was a bit of a fluke.
We've not looked back since so we should not fear dirty leeds. In fact go a goal up and their fans are well known for turning

This is our opportunity to make a statement, we failed the last test against the Wolves & Bruce fucked up with his selection against Wednesday.

Whilst we're far better than we were a year ago, I'm not convinced that we'll make the top 2. A good win tonight would go a long, long way to showing that we are.
