Very surprised Grealish isn't in. He was lively in his cameo the other night.

I think we will win. It will be convincing too.

Honestly have a feeling it could be four.

4-0 Villa.

Shows how bad ‘Mad’ Tommy Elphick and Micah Richards are when playing a midfielder out of position at centre half is preferred to selecting one of them.

I’d like to have seen Whelan and Davis rested but there’s no real alternatives in their positions

Need 3 points not matter how shit we play. Have a feeling it could be a long December.

Samba fatigue I guess, Elphick must be on his way January.
You would hope he has worked on a way of playing without Davis, I would not bet on it.

No surprise to see Samba given a break but Bruce really should have made changes further up the pitch aswell. Grealish and Lansbury were surely options to start today.

He doesn’t like changing a winning team.

Evidently, wrong decision though based on the evidence of the last 20 mins on Tues night. We have one of the biggest squads in the league, home games v Ipswich shoukd be ideal for giving Grealish a start.

The defence has already been disrupted with Terry's injury, now he's disrupting it more with a new face playing out of position.  Risky for me.  My only guess about Grealish is he's still not quite fit.  I would hope that if we have a slow start he gets at least 40-50 minutes today.

I wouldn't be starting Grealish yet.  Firstly, he had what sounded like a serious injury, and secondly he was never exactly Mr Consistency before his injury. He needs to start showing that he can add more than just the odd flash of flair to be considered a starter I reckon.

Lovely through ball down the left side finding Davis who shot across goal but straight at the keeper.
Ipswich just had a decent attempt, driving forward but shot over the bar.

So far it's everything you'd expect from a Steve Bruce - Mick McCarthy game. Bring on half time.

Villa team mates are not taking advantage of brutality afflicted on Ipswich defence by Davis. Snodgrass at times is far too clever for opposition and his own team.

Davis could always take advantage of opposition defenses shitting themselves over Adomah, and actually score himself?

Just a thought.

Davis' hard work and bullying of defences might have something to do with Adomah's form.

Just a thought.

It's possible. I would hope, being on the pitch, he would provide some sort of contribution.

As long as someone scores, and we win, I don't suppose it matters.

GET IN ADOMAH!! LEGEND!

Not sure who I'd prefer to get a 3rd goal AA or KD.

So we better get 4 to settle it for both of them

How much did Albert cost? I can't remember other than a potential makeweight with the big head from Barcelona B. Versus Ross and Scott what a buy!

I would just like him to look like scoring when he gets the chance. He doesn't at the moment.

Don’t understand that change, unless Taylor’s carrying an injury

But I didn't say he couldn't contribute more. I was just amazed that you thought he contributed nothing. There's a difference between the two.
