Our prices don't seem too bad, cheapest ST at sodding Norwich is £499.50! And you can buy a cheaper season ticket to watch Manchester City than you can to watch Dover Athletic.

But clubs are fully aware that these surveys take place, and are going to be highly publicised, every so often.
How to make your club look 'fairer'?
Sell four or five crappy seats/season tickets - with almost zero view of the pitch - at a 'discounted' rate and, voila, "Aston Villa's ticket prices aren't too bad. Some of them are only £20".
Football is shockingly expensive these days. Especially for the average working family. Let's not even talk about 'value for money'.

Norwich and Ipswich are a joke. I know there's fuck all to do in that part of the world but the football clubs don't have to take advantage of that fact!

It's the comparisons with the cost of watching football abroad (especially Germany) that really illustrate the greed of English clubs, even more so when you consider the TV money they receive.

I do think there's a bit of a myth with regards to the prices in Germany.
I've been to watch Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin and have always paid face value.
Around €35 a ticket.

I'd heard a story about a chap in Newcastle (I think) who travelled to watch Dortmund home games because it was cheaper than watching his local team. That included travel, too.

To be fair Citeh can well afford to discount a few seats to make themselves look good in this sort of survey, I doubt Dover can.

I can tell you now that my match ticket for Dortmund was £35, flight £50 from Luton. and hotel was £150. Not including spends. So not sure how that can be accurate.

Have to admit I was a touch sceptical and given your figures, I agree, it doesnt seem possible.
But, he didn't stay over, he returned the same day and maybe he got cheaper flights from Newcastle, Would that add substance to story?
Not saying story is true, but, putting a case for it being possible
