Mostly as expected, though disappointed Hutton is back at RB as he’s been very good on the left. We started to have much more balance etc so coupled with Terry’s absence I’m very concerned about our defence today.

No mention of Elmo being injured as far as I know yesterday.  What is it with us and injuries.

Chris Samba? A man with less ability than Stephen Hawking without his wheelchair is playing? I’d much rather Elphick play, and he’s really crap.

Hmm, interesting line up.
Grealish back, and I'd forgotten about Lansbury.

Sorry, but that doesn't look like a team that can do Bruce's defend for 90's minutes and nick a goal tactic. I hope we have a PlanB. Oh.........

Thought Samba looked pretty good pre-season, so I am prepared to at least see him start a game or two before deciding he isn't up to it.

Pretty rubbish QPR team on bad form - we should be good enough top win this.

Yes. Perfectly feasible suggestion. And a million times better than Samba. Didn’t Samba play for them but wasn’t deemed good enough?

Maybe Hutton's playing because he's better in the air than the other options.

No, they sold him for £12m. I'd still pick Samba with Hawking's terrible condition over Elphick, he's pound for pound the least talented player I've ever seen pull on our shirt.

Where's Bree? He was excellent for Barnsley. Is he injured?

Our central two might get outmuscled by their central 3, but Onomah might drop back. I hope Davis doesn't get isolated.

Come on Villa!

Bloody hell, Samba has gone for some money in his time. £12mill to QPR, help relegate them in 6 months, then sold for £12mill. Reported £100,000 a week whilst he was there - blimey - not a bad wage!!!

Snodgrass did well, but couldn't help thinking he should have gone left then instead of playing it right.

This is more like it!

I've always liked Adomah. We're much more effective when he plays.

Were going to rue all these missed chances aren't we?

Gotta take one of these break away opportunities.Otherwise it'll be an extremely nervous last 10.

Just had a 4 v 2 break.

I wonder when the Jedi will be on to shore it up.

We've out ran them today and that bodes really well in this league.

Chris Samba? A man with less ability than Stephen Hawking without his wheelchair is playing? I’d much rather Elphick play, and he’s really crap.

When does Alex Bruce arrive?

Tell you what, well played Onomah. The real deal, and I hope we can have him for another year whatever happens.

Pleased to see that win  quietly consolidating top six status. With twenty nine games to go, and almost ninety points to play for, there is still a long way to go, but at this stage of the season being in the mix, without the pressure of being at the bottom, or right at the top, is no bad place to be.
