Boro fans seem a bit upset with us. Poor little souls, what have we done to them?

Quote
who's the dirtiest, hardest and strongest tackler we have in the reserves. Some kind of undiscovered new Souness. Let him play and give him free rein. Show Villa what a bad tackle really looks like.

Probably the best part of 100K a week for Richards and Fat Ross to sit on the bench for cup games.

I'd have liked to see Kodjia get another half hour under his belt. I'm all for consistency too in terms of keeping the same team and telling anyone not playing that they have to earn the right to play. Just me though. Not sure what Richards has done to even warrant a place on the bench.

That they rarely get a game doesn't stop it looking like a poor CB pairing. So far we've managed 2 CB pairings going back 30 years that are as bad or worse which kind of proves the point of the original post.

after what their fans said re dirtiest tackler etc I would have been worried for his safety.....a juicy tackle could put our main man out for a big part of the season and enhance their position.

They wouldn't do that sort of thing......would they?

I can see Paul's point. Kodjia said himself he's not 100% but yeah, maybe best to leave him out what with us having two games in a few days next week.

What a surprise "their centre halfs are their weak link".

Zero shots on target from us.

Not been terrible though and at least we are playing with a bit of energy.  Had a few good 'situations' (as Andy Townsend might say) but it just hasn't fallen for us.  Having Hutton and Bjarnason together on the left on their weaker side hasn't helped on the creative front!

We've had worse opposition than Boro before in earlier rounds.  Is that attendance right, and if so when was the last time we had lower?  I don't pay too much attention to them but am thinking Simod cup

He was praised for giving the kids and fringe players a run in the last round.  Now we lose it's a stupid selection policy.

I said before the last game, I'm happy to give the kids a go but I'd like to have our stars available on the bench for if we need to change it. Even if we hadn't had a man sent off, it always looked like we would struggle if we went one behind. Boro, by contrast, have Downing and Assombalonga to being on.

I listen to all the local BBC cricket commentators and they are all provide decent honest and non partisan commentaries.

So why do local BBC football commentators come across as a bunch of c×××s?

Because football as a sport is indecent, dishonest and partisan, and it accordingly gets the commentators it deserves?

Pedant alert, but Starling murmurations would be counted in hundreds, so it would be either 11,100 or 11,2000. Just saying.

'Villa Park, deserted, fans going home, empty,' etc

Your boys weren't exactly a draw, were they?

By my reckoning, last time we had a crowd this low was v Forest in the ZDS in Nov 1991. 7,859. We had 12,433 in the LC 2nd round v Wigan in 1993.
