I'm sorry, but can only see 0-3 at least to them.
Also I feel it will be the last time, for a while at least, that we will see the Championship trophy!

Bigger dilemma for me than the Blackburn outcome

Beat them and we allow the Barcodes to win the title  :-\

I think we will lose without any help as the numpty will undoubtably pick a team to not get beat

Hutton (Yawn)

They've been poor since winning promotion and we don't score if Kodjia doesn't. Draw I reckon.  Lots of chanting from their six million away fans about the empty patches in our stadium when we should have given them 5,000 extra tickets.

Our best away performance of the season was Brighton at least for 45mins we looked like a team that knew what they were doing, let's hope this is the best at home and we finish the season with a bit of swagger.

2-1.

I can't see past a convincing Villa win with the additional benefit that the Toon Army will allow us, like everyone who loves football, to once again enjoy them as our 2nd favourite team.

0-2 and the first time we have seen a league trophy won after a match at Villa Park, I think.

We secured the 3rd Division Championship trophy beating Torquay at home 5-1 in the penultimate game of the season.

Ex Villain Big Dick Edwards captained and scored for Torquay. Brian Little debuted and scored for Villa.
The team who could no longer catch us and finished second ? Brighton.

1899-1900: we hosted Liverpool in the last game needing a draw to win the league. Defeat would give them the title so a guarantee of seeing the trophy lifted either way. Having won our previous two games 6-1 and 7-1 we finished the job by battering the Scousers 5-0 for good measure.

They really need to win this and it's hard to see how we will improve after the poor effort from last week. Also no Koj. 0-2 and good riddance to this season.

After the clueless, gutless, goal less pile of dog shit that cost me a small fortune to witness last week I feel that the players owe us a decent performance and a win to sign off with. Another dog shit performance and a defeat will see the boos ringing round Villa Park and Bruce treading on very thin ice. Not the end to this season I had envisaged 9 months ago. A solid 2/3 nil victory is the only way this season can end on a positive note.

I've gone a home loss - we just aren't expansive enough. I can understand the 'solidity' part as we were truly appalling defensively and you don't just turn around that fear, but surely it's the end of the season - give us something to shout about for next year please. We all know there's nothing at stake here.

The gel has melted and run down the drain.

Sad as it may seem, this is my take as well...Bruce or whoever is responsible for turning us into a dour, boring, horrible team with no ambition or attacking intent has killed my enthusiasm...until August anyway.
Never mind the players, I think we need a break...

The only "positive" is that we should finish 12th, as long as Cardiff dont win. And thats the first time for a while that we have finished (barely) in the top half of a table.

Roll on next season.

I'm looking forward to it.  I have been saying all season that we must visit the Bartons and maybe meet some of the "Faces" on this website. So me and My mate Dennis will be calling in before the game. I was always planning to go but was tempted by the free drink I will admit.
I am wondering who will be there on Sunday.  I used to go a few years ago and meet up with H&V people like Ozzjim, Stuart T Swann and Mark Fletcher but I don't suppose any of them still go there.  Maybe Amfy and Cheltenham (was He submariner in the past)

I think my last visit was against Man City (I think) when we all got locked out so maybe it isn't good news for the regulars that I am attending again.

I am envisaging just Me and Dennis in an empty pub.

Nah. Villa Submariner is my mate but he emigrated to Convict Land years ago. If I turn up (which I likely will) I should arrive at the pub about 10.45am.

You may scoff, but finishing in the top twelve would be enough to guarantee that we'd be seeded in the first two rounds of the League Cup, if, by some miracle, we don't get knocked out by some lower-league cloggers in Round One.

Another miserable season comes to an end. I hope for a spark, something to send us into the summer believing that our success is just around the corner, something like a Hogan brace or a dominant performance. Alas I fear the deck chairs are already out. Lose lose tomorrow. Win and it's likely that the barcodes win the league, we'll never hear the end of that. Lose, well, that's just shit.

Steve Bruce will be without five first-teamers for the clash with Brighton this weekend.

Mile Jedinak will not be available due to an ongoing groin problem.

Alan Hutton will be absent due to two broken ribs.

Gabriel Agbonlahor won’t be fit after going over on his ankle in training.

Andre Green and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy will also be absent on Sunday.

Both Young Lions have reoccurring hamstring issues.

I'd like to see Jack playing behind Hogan, and for a change try slipping balls down the channels for Hogan to run onto, rather than either lumping the ball at him from the back or slowly passing across the back until a full back gets forward and misplaces a cross.

Totally agree

Against blues it was terrible to watch, grealish picking up the ball ten yards inside his own half when he needs to be played 30 yards further up the pitch and the endless balls lumped up to hogan

Lets hope bruce sees it

Who knows, can't see us winning after last week, but you just never know.  Think Brighton will want to finish by winning the title, but the nerves will be high so I am going for 0-0 draw.

Great with all those conditions right we can't lose today😆Yes I am going with a 6 year old making his Villa Park debut on his birthday.

I hope he enjoyed his 'debut' and remains a Villan for life. My 36 year old son accompanied me today and I well remember him as a seven year old at the Villa as we lost 3-0 to Wimbledon (with his twin brother). We were reminiscing today. Joy and pain, excitement and full days but always, always a Villan.
