Welcome to Guess The Crowd 20: Aston Villa v Queens Park Rangers, at 7.45pm on Tuesday 4th April!
(This is an Overlap round with GTC19, Villa v Norwich at 3 pm this Saturday. This means, 'Careful now'.
Don't guess twice in the same round. You'll only get 1 point in that and completely miss out on the other one.)
Hopefully enough of the lads will have survived our victory over Norwich to make this a hum-dinger of a match, continuing our meteoric rise towards the play off spots.
The Brucie Bonus is available for any team that posts a spot-on guess below before 7.45pm this Tuesday evening, 28th March. A short but meaningful window of opportunity beckons for the brave ;)
Otherwise, feel free to post your guess at any time before KO on the 4th, taking all the usual factors into account.
Hint: posts elsewhere in this forum which say things like, 'Gosh! The Hoops have sold out their quota!' are generally not to be relied upon as gospel, I have found.
UTV!

Thanks to PWS in the match thread :)
Points on the way...

This, unfortunately for almost all of us, is easy.
Everybody got 1 except...
peter w who, on just 90 away, got 6!!!
:)
I'll check again, as that's by eye.
Divisions later.
Stand by tomorrow for GTC21, Villa v Reading!
And we won again!

Excellent result, well played, peter w!

I thank - you kindly. A much needed return on my quest for promotion. But in fairness I've felt that a result like this was coming because my build up play has been there and I've been terrific at the back. Sometimes its all about the execution. That came together last night and the trick is keeping up this level of performance. i know I have it in me and I'll be working hard all week to make sure I leave the fans going home happy the week after next as really, that's what it's all about. There are many arguments up and down pubs about big predictors and I'll leave that for them, but there's no way someone of this calibre should be in this division. The top flight would only be enhanced by my presence. Still, its one thing saying it and another thing doing it. I'll sit down with me and keep putting in the hard work and I fully expect the results will follow on a regular basis.

Very good!
I hope you've seen the latest version of Division 2; you're up there attacking the promotion places.
Looks as if it'll be an exciting end to this season in more than one context!

Yeah, thanks lou but I tell the lads that looking at the table is okay but I've got to focus on the job in hand. There's still work to do and QPR has gone now and I'm only thinking about Reading. One game at a time is all I can do. I know its a little bit out of my own hands but if I keep doing the right things then well, you know, that's all I can do. I'm confident but not getting carried away because there's some terrific posters in this division and anyone can beat anyone else on any given day. But all I can do is prepare myself and look after w'orselves.
