Undergoing a medical according a reliable journalist. Third bid accepted by Bury. I know literally nothing about him.
-
One for the future hopefully ala Gareth Barry.
-
Is he a leftback?
-
Central defender apparently.
One for the future rather than right now. We'll probably destroy him.

Signed and loaned straight back out or a back-up player for when Baker picks up a knock?

Why? How?
-
Chant.... Queen: living on my own?
-
You would think he will go back on loan straight away. Only 17 isn't he? Can we send him to Barnsley for 2 years?
-
17? He's going to show Ayew what sulking is about.

That's a worse punishment than the bomb squad was.

His name gets me thinking of On a Ragga Tip by SL2.
-
Is he the son of Philo? (youngsters ask your dad)

Why on earth be so negative?

I'm not sure if it's just the positive mood over the last few days transfer activity, that's making me revisionist over the previous few years, buts it's just this kind of forward looking signing that we have been lacking under other regimes.
I know absolutely nothing about Jacob, but trust that Bruce has seen enough that he can nurture through his potential.
-
He sounds like he was involved in the French Revolution
Good that we're thinking forward. Not sure what it says about toner and our other young centre backs. But maybe he's just too good to miss
-
To have made the league team of the week just after turning 17 at the end of december he must have something.

I just have the Pink Panther tune in my head.
-
We've bought him to help McCormack, he'll come in handy if the gate jams again.
-
i'd like to say that I posted about this as I was told by a source close to the club that it was definitely going to happen and I started a thread saying so. It was merged to the transfer speculation. I demand answers and/or an apology for such an affront from not just the Mods but Admin too. However, don't check what i actually originally posted otherwise it may be that I'm guilty of what can only be now known as 'doing a Chicago'.

Right turn Clyde
-
Yes, and I posted the Clyde joke on Peter's thread four days ago.
-
Chant.... Queen: living on my own?
Fits lovey, but I believe this was Freddie's solo work rather than Queen was it not?

Apparently Bedeau's best friend turns his cap around if he thinks he's getting into a bust up on the field.
-
Definitely not in the Bury squad to play Walsall today.
-
Gotsta be a way of coming up with a "He came from Bury" chant

Their manager has confirmed he's coming to us.

BURY head coach Chris Brass has confirmed the club has agreed a deal to sell young defender Jacob Bedeau to Aston Villa.
The Championship club had two bids rejected earlier in the week but after further negotiations the two sides have now agreed terms.
Bedeau has made seven appearances for the first team since joining from Leyton Orient on a free transfer in the summer.
The 17-year-old will now undergo a medical at Villa Park as the deal is pushed through ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.
Brass added that negotiations were still ongoing about the fineprint, and he is keen to work in a loan deal that would allow Bedeau to stay on at Gigg Lane until the end of the season.
"They have got to where our expectations are and they have done their homework, as you would expect from a club of their magnitude," he said.

“The deal has not just happened overnight. It has been ongoing for a while.
“You have to make sure it is in the best interests of Jacob and the football club. He is going to be a fantastic player.

Lad I took to Villa trials once actually lived next to the carrot washery in Chatteris. He WAS a carrot cruncher. Villa turned him down but went on to captain Colchester. Very respected lower league professional.

Signed for 600k, welcome young man.

Aston Villa Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Jacob Bedeau from Bury.
The highly-rated 17-year-old moves to Villa Park for an undisclosed fee and has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Once on the books at Leyton Orient, Bedeau has been with Bury since impressing while on trial at Gigg Lane.
He has made seven appearances for the Shakers in League One this term.
He said: “This is such a massive opportunity for me at such a young age.
“I’m looking forward to taking that opportunity and developing even more at such a big club.
“I’ll always be grateful to Bury for giving me a chance so I would like to say thank you to them and wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
“I can’t wait to get started at Aston Villa.”
