With all of the signings, who do you think will be sold/released between now and the end of the season?
-
The two 50% players in the latest doctor Tone equation will be Ayew and Pointy I reckon.
We still want a forward.
-
Gabby
Richards
Hutton
McCormack
Westwood
take yer pick!
-
Gabby - end of season.
Hutton - end of season.
McCormack - loan before end of this window.
Westwood - to Wolves this window.
Richards - end of season.
-
I think we'll keep Hutton, out of contract at the end of the season and may be a bit early for Bree to start for the rest of the season. I can see us trying to shift Richards (a call to Moyes would be an idea) and I think we'll try and move one of GG or Westwood out, even if it's just a loan. McCormack is an obvious one to go if anyone will have him.
-
Kozak (released from contract)
GG( loan)
Westwood (loan)
Richards (poss China?)
RHM (signs new contract but goes on loan to end of season)
Sanchez( bought by club on loan at - end of season)
Veretout (as above)
Gil (as above)
Henry Cowans (end of season)
Calder (released)
McCormack- end of season but we will take a financial hit with this one I suspect
-
China have a limit of three foreign nationals per team. Unfortunately I can't see any of them wasting one of those spots on Micah Richards.
-

Westwood - to Wolves this window.
Richards - end of season.
Hasnt gabby got another season?
i reckon pointy to wolves, this window hopefully

We should insist he only leaves if it's to go to one of our promotion rivals.
-
Not sure exactly who, but i'd let go two for now and the rest in the summer. Wouldn't surprise me to see Bacuna or Tshibola go before the window closes.
-
It's the way of the world...it's full of morons earning big money with no discernible talents or abilities. Micah Richards is a nailed on cert to end up in China on huge money. Anyone here with even a modicum of passing interest in football wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. But here's hoping...

Can't see them parting with Calder, who I've always rated for some obscure reason ..... he's probably the only real cover we have at Left Back , he's been playing well there recently for the U23s....of course we may buy someone in, and who'd bet against that right now?!.
Can't really argue with the rest though....unless the Gabby-Bruce bromance contiues awhile...............Godzvilla!

Westwood leaving would be better than any signing we've made.
-
Westwood to burnley may be an option now that marney is out for the season. 🙏🏻

Burnley was made up, no way would dyche want him

Why? How would losing a squad player help us more than signing good quality players?

Can't we change his name to Mi Cha and pretend he's Chinese?

The level of obsession over Westwood is ridiculous
-
Has Westwood ever shown a lack of effort or bad attitude?
How about loaning him out to get him out of the firing line and gain some confidence?
-
Grealish being linked with Middlesbrough tonight.
-

However we are not in a position to have promotion rivals just yet.
-
Grealish maybe naive, he's not fuckin stupid

Westwood isn't the best player, but I don't think he could ever be accused of taking the piss as opposed the the likes of last seasonseason troublemakers.

This x 1,000,000

Have to agree. Can't funcking stand him
-
Westwood's departure will take some of the stench of failure and underachievement of the last few years with him. Let's get rid and try to forget he ever pulled on the shirt.
-
Just like Grealish, Westwood will benefit from the incoming midfielders. Why get rid of an experienced squad player unless we need to. When our club doesn't need him, i.e., has a better squad player let him go but until then he is, imo, an asset and has never disrespected our club through the not to distant "dark times".
-
The difference is Grealish clearly has lots of raw talent, whereas Westwood has never shown anything other than being able to run around a lot and 'keep the ball moving'. Let's be honest, he can barely kick the thing. Let him drop to his natural level, League One, without us.

I don't disagree at all Jimbo, but keep him until an improvement comes along
-
The way I see it, we've just signed three midfielders. We already have Gardner, Tshibola and Jedinak, and Adomah and Grealish going forward. We don't need Westwood. Arguably, we've never needed him.

Westwood, whenever he has played has put a shift in,unlike Richards who hasn't been known to run around
-
It would be great if we could flog and get a fee for some of our loan players - Gil, Sanchez, Verertout. There must be £7-£10m locked up in those three.
Flog McCormack - if we can get more than £7m for him that would be a result.
Westwood, Tshibola and Gardner - at least 2 of those are surplus to requirements now.
Richards if we can get anything for him
I doubt we can shift Agbonlahor unfortunately.
I wouldn't be displeased if Ayew left, if we could replace him with a decent striker/attacking midfielder.
To have a rounded squad, we'd need a back-up left back, a back-up centre back (or Toner if he's ready), and a striker, as we're fucked if Kodjia gets injured/suspended.

not sure when most of those players' contracts are up apart from Gabby, but I can't see any of them moving voluntarily due to the money they'll be losing out on by moving to inevitably lesser paying clubs. I suppose that's what the parachute payment was designed for. Maybe Westwood would go possibly.
-
Atlanta of the MLS signed Guzan - flog the rest of the twats this way!
-
Hutton and Kozak are the ones up this summer.
-
Gabby
Richards
Hutton
McCormack
Westwood
take yer pick!
Christ, what list - prospective clubs form an orderly queue.
-
This window, I think Ayew and McCormack may go. RHM will stay and make an important contribution in the final 15 games.
In the summer, we'll see the last of the deadwood get swept away.
-

This is very true. When it comes to running around, Westwood is the leader in the field.
I can't believe some would sooner see Ayew shifted out, a player who can actually kick a football.

Westwood / shift that is from a parallel universe. the bloke is tripe, last Saturday he did what? for their second goal where was he , BEHIND THE DEFENCE!!

No way Tshibola! Far too early. Still very young and raw but lots of potential.

I just don't think Bruce particularly rates him. If he won't play much then we might as well switch him for someone who will get a regular game.
-
Micah to a second tier club in the American Colonies
I think that Pointy will want to go somewhere and play regularly
I think that McCafu will start ahead of Bree for the rest of the season. If RDL's recovery is progressing ok, I expect that Hutton will leave in the summer. However, if RDL won't be back for the start of next season, I can see McCafu getting a one year extension (and then heading to Rangers).
Tish & RHM to go out on loan
GG to stay as backup but then be sold in the summer
The one I'd try to cash in on is Ayew. He's just a glorified Zog to me
Can't see anyone wanting RM and Gabby seems to be getting (or at lease Steve thinks that he's getting) his act together.
-
Like Grealish, I'd like to see what Ayew can do with decent players around him. He was our best player last season (not difficult, but he showed signs of what he could be) and this season he's been playing in a very unsettled side. I'd keep him for now.

Yep, a shame to lose players of this quality just as we start to (hopefully) develop a better functioning team.
