Ellis and Lerner.I'd struggle to find three others that I hold in the same level of contempt.
-
H***e.....
Ellis
O'Leary
McNeill
Callaghan (for chucking his career in the bin)
-
Hodge
Hopkins
O'Leary

Gabby
O'Neill
Struggling to find a fifth... so Lescott I guess.
Edit: Ah yes, I'd forgotten about someone already (which shows his impact on the club) step forward Mr N'Zogbia.
-
anyone who didnt give there all for us and didn't have the clubs best interests at heart
-
Sutcliffe
Fritzl
The Wests
Thatcher
Bono.
-
I can probably come up with 5 in the last 12 months!
N'Zogbia, Richards, Lescott, Snakey and Randy Lerner all spring to mind and all just as objectionable as the likes of Hodge, Alpay and Hopkins from days gone by...
-
Hodge
Snake
Callaghan
Lescott
Alpay
-
Robert Hopkins
Noel Blake
Graham Turner
David O'Leary
Paul Lambert
-
Lot of big names already gone, I'll add:
Carlton Cole
Craigy Gardner
Downing
Struggling to think of another two.
-
Carlton was hardly a World-beater, with the exception of his debut, but I can't see that he's done anything to warrant being listed alongside some of these ne'er-do-wells.
-
Ellis
O'Leary
Richards
Keane (Roy)
Hopkins
-

And also had the great comedy nickname of Can't Control!
-
Most of the obvious ones have gone, Paul Mortimer was a lazy bastard though.
-
Lerner
Lescott
Craig Gardner
Richards
Agbonlahor
-

I suppose it depends on your definition of 'disliked'. Carlton Cole is one of the worst footballers I've ever seen in a Villa shirt. He was dreadful, and offered nothing to the team, as far as I could see at the time, as such I disliked him. I'm not one for getting on anyone's back, if they've got a Villa shirt on their back. I found myself making an exception for Carlton.
-
1) Micah Richards
2) Micah Richards
3) Micah Richards
4) Micah Richards
5) Micah Richards
-
In order they were here:
Robert Hopkins
Steve Hodge
Tony Dorigo
Billy McNeill
Nigel Callaghan
Astonishing there is a top five yet O'Leary would get nowhere near. We've had our share of hate figures.
-
In my life time -
1 Zog
2 DOL
3 Delph
4 Hodge
5 Downing
-
Villains - the three low life scum of the earth arseholes who conned their way into my nan's house and robbed her many years ago, and maybe the Kray twins.
Villans - Hopkins is the only one I'd be tempted run over if he crossed the road in front of me. And If Baros ran past me I'd trip him up out of annoyance at all the times he dived instead of trying to stick the ball in the net.
-
Steve Hodge
Micah Richards
David OLeary
Stephen Ireland
Paul Lambert
-
Lambert
Agbonlahor
Westwood
Richards
Lescott
-
Ellis
O'Leary
O'Neill
Lerner
Richards

I think some of the "high Fives" are instinctive of todays feelings.
My first match at VP was in the mid 60,s, I left UK in 78. between 73 and 78 I hardly missed a game home or away, including pre season friendlies etc.
To dislike some one, is it because they were crap or malevolent ?
We have had so many crap players over the years it is hard to say whether I disliked them or just wished they did not play for us.
I missed the whole Hodge thing so I do not know ?
For me the guys associated with the club that I disliked,
A double, double for Doug, he may be old and we will all cry when he catches that, flights coach on a one way trip.
If there was ever a mean spirited, self centered, fucker with a Victorian shopkeepers mentality that held us back at the onset of the premier league, step forward, Douglas Ellis. Fair to say I dislike him.
Martin (please do not sue me) O ,Neil. Saw him as Ron mark two when he came along, the words and descriptions have been made by those more eloquent than me, C..t
Alpay for being , Alpay.
Delph, the slimy, gobsnottling fuckwit, for spouting crap one week and signing for City the next.
5th I guess O.Dreary for being such a smug prat.
-
O'Neill
O'Leary
Black
Fox
Lerner
Hodge
Delph
Krulak

Alpay
Paddy Fuckin Reilly

Carlton Cole
Ray Wilkins
Eric Black

I'm surprised nobody has listed Paul Mortimer yet. Or perhaps he was such an irrelevance on the pitch he's just been erased from our history.

Didn't he flick the V's at the Holte End after scoring his one & only goal for us ?

Exactly why I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned!

I don't think he flicked the Vs, did he? Wasn't it more of a dismissive kind of wave/hand gesture? From what I remember, there was some ironic cheering when he scored. (Good goal, too).
-
28 minutes in.
-
I don't remember that at all.
-
Ellis
Learner
Hodge
Delph
Gardner

Apart from checking results I was away from football for a good while, so exactly who was Robert Hopkins & what did he do that earned such dislike? Never been totally clear on Hodge either.
-
Robert Hopkins was a dweller from Middle Earth who won a Cornflakes competition to play for Aston Villa.
The delicious Stephen Hodge had an untimely demise when he ate himself.
-
Lescott
Richards
Ireland
Gabby
O Leary
-
Hodge.
O'Leary.
Agbon.
Callaghan.
Lescott.

Despite being a member of Villa's Youth Cup winning side of 1980 and coming on as sub against Norwich and scoring in literally seconds in the same year, he only played a couple of first team games. He joined his boyhood heroes from the dark side of the city and became a dirty and snidy piece of work, became one of their infamous 'wild bunch' including Blake, Coton, Harford, Gayle et al, and made no secret of his dislike for us as he'd always been a nose.

Id like to be kind to him and suggest that he was just going through that stage where all teenagers become a bit ugly for a year or so around 14 yrs old but we now know he never really grew out of it.
Horrible person.
-
DO'L
MO'N
Alpay
Lerner
Lescott

Peter fucking Schmeichal x 5.
I hated that red nosed twat when he played for Man U, he was one of the odious referee chasing many that played for that bunch. Then, god knows why, we signed him when he essentially was roaming his box using a zimmer frame and wearing a girdle to suck his fat gut in.
I never applauded anything the tosser did, how could I after spending every 45 minutes of away games at Old Trafford on that little terrace when he was down that end giving him both barrels.
I recall him moving at surprising speed one home game at the holte end and then throwing the ball into the back of one of our centre halves to gift somebody with a tap in.....
Useless fat red nosed barge arse!

My sentiments exactly.
