Nice one Dave and the bit about Villa Park and taking it for granted, I've been out in the Middle East now for 10 years and when I get back to Brum two things that must be done, go down to an empty Villa Park just to look and also take in a game and every little single thing that involves, including the baggy head the day after, win lose or draw. When you are not there every 14 days for 9 months, you dont half miss it.

Good article again Dave. You are right about going back to Villa Park after you haven't been able to go for a while. It just has a very special aura about it.

Very good Dave, that bit at the end is so true to us who have not been for a while or can not go often, it really is a great place. For all that do go regularly at least now you can arrive in confidence which adds to the that wonderful feeling you get when Villa Park is in your sights.

great article again. Totally agree with the sentiments expressed by others. Having lived 4,000 miles away for several years, I now find every visit special. Now that I've started taking my daughter, it's great to see the same look in her eyes. It is just better than all other stadiums.  :D

Yes, it's frustrating to be only 14th after 11 points from the last 5 games, but the main reason is the shocking 10 points from 11 during RDM's tenure. Don't forget we were bottom 3  when SB started. I reckon we'll be on the fringe of the play-offs at the turn of the year. I bet SHA are now looking over their shoulders....

Love that final paragraph. Villa Park will always have an aura about it regardless of whatever redevelopment work takes place.

Nice one again Dave, just love that last sentence about Villa Park, like all of us, I've felt always immensely proud of our stadium and although it's completely changed since my first game in 1967, whatever it was the hit me the first time I went up the stairs to the old Upper Trinity Road and looked out on the pitch and Holte End etc.. continues to do so, whether I'm there in person on just seeing it on the tv.

Touching on Jedinak's improved form and importance (with the upcoming Brighton match and the fact that SB is saying he won't be starting) are long flights really that tiring? He plays against Thailand on Tuesday can't he sleep or something? Is it a body clock or a time zone issue?

I don't fly that often but for some reason I'm always exhausted by it. Considering you're just sat on your arse hoping that you don't die, replaying the plot of 'United 93' over and over in your head, it's surprising really

My god it's like you were in my head on Saturday at Blackburn. I stood in the ground at the final whistle looking at the Holte knowing that it will be at least two years before I'm back. It was cold and dark but I loved it.  I love that place, the feeling when we scored against Fulham was dare I say it....better than sex.  I went mad hugging some complete stranger who was going equally ballistic.  Good last paragraph.  As a post script Mile Jed was on my flight to Dubai on his way to the international game for Aus,  had a chat, seems a good bloke.
