Just noticed that if you travel by coach from the Villa you are going to get there nice and early!

Serious question does anyone know of any coach travel from the Dudley area to this game?

If you do could you please let me know

Thanks

Paul

Was thinking of having a half day and getting the coach up for this. 9am? What the actual fuck? Has nobody told them it's a night game or are they going via Inverness?

Maybe all the coaches are descending on Chris Jameson's place for the afternoon. Yorkshire's only a small place, isn't it ?

Looks like they've just done a cut & paste of the coach info from the Ipswich details

they've changed the coach departure time to 3.30pm on the o/s now, and the price is £21.

How many do we think we'll take to this then? No chance will we take the 5500 on a Tuesday night. Thought the club might have subsidised the tickets for this to £20 or offered free travel to get a bigger following there on a weeknight.

I would say this is one of the few (if not the only) games we won't sell out for. We will shift over half of the 5500 - maybe around 3000 ?

2500 sold already.

Just booked 2 tickets, spoke to Tom (pleasant lad), he told me that tickets are going quite well for this one, and hopeful of a good following

To even get close to a sell out for this one is a great effort. Should be a good night!

There's about 500 odd left.
Title: Re: Barnsley (A)

The website or the official Twitter account should give better updates of how many tickets are remaining. Saw so many people tweeting last night that Preston was sold out and were asking for spare tickets, the same happened with Barnsley last week aswell. How hard would it be after each sale window or after every couple of days just to post an update and say 'going into the next sale window there are 500 tickets remaining'?

I can't now go to Barnsley & have a spare ticket. Cost £30 but will take £20 for it. Can bring it to either of two home games coming up.

Loads of new blocks released for sale online. Thought there were only a few left?
Title: Re: Barnsley (A)
Post by: Ads on September 08, 2016, 07:13:50 PM
No idea.

Only area 16 is available online though, every other selection draws an error message. No idea how those 11 or 12 areas correspond to the ground though. Ticket office must break them up artifically into 200-300 blocks.

I got told just about 500 yesterday! Less than a thousand then with three weeks to go. Will sell out easy.

Need a couple of wins between now and then, and maybe end our away hoodoo at Ipswich, otherwise I don't think it will sell out.

You don't think we'd shift 500-700 in 21 days?

Mad to take 5.5k up to Barnsley in midweek.

Applause....

They've been on general sale for about a week now and there's still that many left. I think if we continue to lose we won't sell it out. A good win on Sunday and then Tuesday will help shift them.
Title: Re: Barnsley (A)

Not sure I agree. A lot have been shifted way in advance of the game. Somewhere around 10% to sell in the same amount of time they've been on sale.

Even if we lose the next three it will sell out. Moot of course, as we'll take 7 points!

I hope you're right, on both points! Although I think we'll take 9...

9 would be nice. It woukd mean we get an away win, which is possible. Didn't make much of Ipswich.  Functional and only Sears with pace, but no brain as to using it.

Even if they have and we don't sell another ticket, 5000 to Barnsley on a Tuesday night to watch a side that haven't won away for over a year is staggering.

It doesnt really matter if they would or not. It's still a good turnout.

That's them. The club who took less to Wednesday on a Saturday for a local derby than we did.

Was that not due to police restrictions? Leeds usually sell out away allocations wherever they're playing.

Regardless, 5k up to Barnsley for a midweek game is an amazing turnout.

Didn't look like it.

Anyway, 5000 is a great following and given there's a couple of weeks, I imagine the rest will shift anyway.

Some good allocations in this league.
