First time I have got the begging bowl out but if anybody has two adult tickets together it would be most appreciated.  Going to take the old man down.  Cheers.

If WW doesn't get back to me shortly, you can have the pair. How old is the "old Man" and will he pass for the older concession

They don't seem to be giving much notice this season, do they? By the time I can purchase tickets it'll only be eleven days until the game. Doesn't leave much scope for getting cheap train tickets (or hotels, if people want to stay over).

Can I jump on this thread please.

I'm after two tickets or ref. numbers for this match if anyone has them please?

My brother lives down in Wells so going to make an August Bank holiday down at his, incorporating the match, whilst our other halves go out into Bristol.

Plus some of his mates are City fans, so it'd mean something a bit more for him. Especially as they've ripped the piss out of him all last season, so, hopefully, getting a win over them would give him a chance to take the piss back!

From an email I received Saturday morning

"Having checked your booking history the Bristol City ticket is waiting to be posted to you. This will be sent first class to arrive in time for the game next Saturday."

I think this translates to...."oops, we've missed one"

I'm going to Saturday's match with my 8 year old lad. We are being dropped in Bristol by my wife as she's visiting a friend in Bath while we're at the match.

So I was wondering does anyone know is there much to do in Bristol to kill a couple of hours before the match?

Even though I'll have the lad with me, decent child friendly pubs are an acceptable suggestion!

Probably the best option - but Bristol Museum is also pretty decent for a kid of that age. Big on the stuffed animals and skeletons.

And free.

Plenty of parking in the city, 25>30 minutes walk to the ground (I'll probably park at The Thekla or Portwall and walk from there)

There's a P&R towards the airport on the A370 that would be less of a walk but I don't know if they allow non-riders to park.

Free parking in the Brunel Lock area but some locations have time restrictions, even on a weekend.

SSGB would be a good spot but since its a Bank Hol w/e, that might be a bit busy.

There's the normal schools and businesses around the ground but I don't know which if any do matchday parking.

NB - The Bedminster Cricket Club website is saying that they are NOT doing parking this weekend http://bedminstercc.co.uk/

Appreciate the advice. A lot may depend on how long we've got. I'm kind of dreading the M5 tomorrow already. Bank holiday weekend, roadworks, bad weather = long delays likely!

The M5 Worcester/Droitwich roadworks mean that I'm leaving around an hour or early for every home game

Might be worth considering coming down via Evesham is the M5 is looking jammed up in the roadworks
