I think, in equal measure, neither Newcastle or Arsenal fans will understand or appreciate the actions of the splendid Villa fans. Viva la difference! In these dark days of the Villa your article is like a reality check - it's football!!

I bet you'll be relieved not to have to write any more about this season after Arsenal.

Not thought of Newcastle relieving some of the pressure and attention on us should they get relegated. Great point.

Yes, Burnley and Boro are well organised and will be much harder to take 3 points from.

Quote
We’re off to Arsenal on Sunday, to bring the curtain down on the worst season since 1970. Their supporters will be full of outrage at finishing third in the league, our supporters won’t be celebrating finishing twentieth but I bet we enjoy ourselves a lot more than they do.

Why ?

Because this is the last Stadia we will visit that has clean Loos and not PortaLoos?

That allows us more than 1,250 tickets.

We've got Wolves and Blues next season, where we can get more Away tickets than at Arsenal-Chelsea - Man Ut/City- Liverpool etc.

Roll on Burton.

David, I know you need a hook...but, please  :(

Our Away support, is much better than our Home support...but the former is going to be decimated next year.

Let's see how we jump with glee at Home, do Congas an Poznans against the also-rans when our support dribbles away.
The club knew the take-up of STs before they decided to close Stands, and sack staff.

It's easy to praise our fans, especially those that travel.

It is ingratiating though...especially when you have access and knowledge that you do not disclose about our ownership.

Do that, and I'll praise you.

You don't, so I'm sitting on my hands friend.

 :(

Don't know about you but I feel as though I've been watching Ted Rodgers on 321...

I hope I get the car...

But I bet it'll be Dusty Bin...

Having just read that, taken 2 migraine tablets and put my eyeballs back in, as far as I can tell

Mr Titmus

1. Has sailed straight past the point that our away following will derive more pleasure from watching Sunday's game than Arsenal's is because they're self indulgent, self important wankers with a sense of entitlement bigger than Mourinho's ego.

2. Is claiming that Dave Woodhall has inside knowledge of what's happening with a possible take over and complaining that that knowledge isn't being disseminated to all and sundry via this board.

Unless someone posting on here is actually Hollis is disguise, the only people likely to know anything are anyone working for whichever law firms are acting on behalf of the various parties and it would be a hell   of a lot more than their jobs are worth to make that kind of info public.

Tit - he's just contrasting our away fans who know how to enjoy themselves and will make the most of a difficult situation against the self entitled Arsenal fans.  Not that difficult to grasp?  But then I thought writing in coherent sentences all in one font size and colour was pretty easy, but clearly not.

From your very first post alftitimus I believed you to be a nose and every word you write supports that view.

Your writing mode is designed deliberately to make your intellectually offensive fictions as visually objectionable as the content.

At work they have an unfortunate habit of giving out jobs to people the bosses like but who have no ability to back it up. This was neatly demonstrated yesterday when the entire Birmingham operation received four separate invites to the same summer party from someone now working Communications. If you gave her crayons there is a danger she might eat them so it is quite extraordinary that she is in such a role.

Yes...and David knew weeks ago.

I don't mind being an Aunt Sally amongst all the sycophants that have to praise David.

I don't mind being bumped off this forum...but only for good reasons. OK ?

Not Racism / Sexism / Homophobia ...David.

I just want to say what I believe..HONESTLY   BELIEVE.
OK.

David, imo, has sheltered in behind the praise of Villa Fans ...especially AWAY Fans.
David, to my knowledge knows much more than he explains or bloggs about.

Basically, he is a "captured" blogger.  ~ imo

Like many others, from Liverpool to Colchester (the latter ...who have an extraordinary membership...check them).... Top Bloggers get treats, leaks and nods and winks.
David in my opinion, has had these for a couple of years...hasn't mentioned them except in REAL retrospect. Keeps quiet. Keeps silent...now and again lets slip that he knew etc etc

So..going to the core...David knows a lot...BUT...don't post it.

That was my point.

Carry on knocking me...carry on praising David for treating us like groupies who accept anything.

But...Think On.... friends. :)

Anyway leave Fred Titmus alone. He's clearly in his dotage (around 60 I'd imagine), is from either side of the Welsh border so can't decide whether to be proud or angry with his lot, has retired from work, probably likes crap films and stuff like the Moody blues. That sort of shit would scramble anyone's brains.

Good article, Dave. I was abroad and didn't mind missing the match but I'm sorry I didn't experience the atmosphere, which sounds pretty special.

I also missed seeing my Geordie friend Dean, who I normally meet twice a year, at Newcastle and at the Barton's. Like many of you, I've got no time for the mass of Newcastle fans, with their ridiculous notion of their team's universal popularity. But Dean, and there are many like him, loves his team, and Newcastle is at the centre of his life, as Villa is at ours. His club, like ours, has been bedevilled by incompetent ownership and poor management for years and, like us, he feels frustrated and impotent as things go from bad to worse. Newcastle too have real fans and they're suffering at the moment.

I can think of a few 60 give-or-take year olds who would be offended by the notion that they are at an age when senility sets in, and a few more who would be even more offended because that s the way it has worked out for them.

''Newcastle United’s board and Mike Ashley deserve to find themselves languishing in this situation; the fans most certainly do not.

They were magnificent at Villa Park, they will be magnificent on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur, just like they have been magnificent all season.

When I came to the club, I fell in love with the area - but more particularly the supporters.

It sounds cliched, but it really isn’t. They’re just incredible''

You see Mr Tittifuck, even if David did get nods and winks and knows more than he is letting on he would hardly post it on a public forum would he? That would be a sure way of never getting a nod or a wink ever again, so you are never going to know either way are you?

I do always love the jealousy that shines through posts like this though, maybe if you had started your own fanzine or became a "top blogger" you'd be in the inner circle as well, but you're not, you will only ever snipe from the sidelines, unlucky.
