I've never started one of these before and this will be my last chance for a few months so indulge me.
I expect us to lose. Heavily. A goal would be nice though.
-
Looking forward already to the day out. Hoping for a point but a decent performance will do.
-
I am looking forward to the final whistle.
-
2-0 Arsenal and its a goodbye from us.
-
As it appears no one is intent on doing fuck all about appointing a manager or taking over the club until the season is over this game can't come soon enough.
Hard to believe we were facing this lot 12 months ago at wembley for the holy grail. No doubt the likes of walcott and wheelchair will show up for their one game a season. Expect a routine drubbing hopefully one of the kids can score a wonder goal as a parting gift to the travelling army.
-
Who knows, who cares.
4-0?
-
2-0 Arsenal and its a goodbye from us.
We are playing their first team, not Arsenal Ladies.
-
Them 2 Us 7. The start of a run that will see us in beaten for 47 league games.

Are we going to lose the last game of next season (wink)?
-
In the event of the self entitled Arsenal supporters attempting to do another of their pathetic protests that the Villa support take the piss on a massive scale and show them what supporting your team is really about.

It must be a right ball ache to be in the top three or four every single season, play lovely football, compete in the latter stages of the CL, win cups. I feel for them, I really do....

Where's the poll? Poor effort.
-
If results go against them arsenal might need something from the game to finish top 4...bet wenger and Co are shiting themselves. Like sir Ron said. ...would you bet against us.
-
If Spurs lose at Newcastle and Arsenal beat us then they can finish above Spurs and avoid the embarrassment of finishing below them.
6-1 defeat.
Couldn't care less about the game though. The atmosphere yesterday was brilliant and that was at home, next week will be another level.
-
I really dislike a large section of Arsenals support.
Black will park the bus hoping for a nil nil "victory" I doubt that will work against a team like Arsenal but if it does then at least we will stink out their last home game for them.
Most likely outcome, another loss.
-
No, Black has got it cracked now. No shots at goal, 0-0. We are on our way.
-
Nil, nil to the Villa
-
I'm predicting a McLeish vs Spurs type formation from Black, which won't work either. 4-0 Arsenal.
-
Crack will still be our manager, us nil them 4 +
A nice send off for Arsen and his boys, lovely.
-
Now that Black's avoided the ignominy of a record 12 consecutive losses, I think he'll go all out defence now - same line up as Saturday, but with Ayew and Sinclair replaced by Richards and a let-back-into-the-fold-horses-for-courses Okore in a revolutionary 5-5 formation. We still get a pants-down spanking, but Black will eulogise about how the lads worked hard to keep Arsenal out for the first 14 seconds, and the fans responded magnificently to the extra effort by the players to limit Arsenal to only just getting into double figures.
-
Villa win 0-0!
-
I hope all these predicting a clean sheet are tongue in cheek. If not, put some after sun on as I think you may have sunstroke.
-
I've never started one of these before and this will be my last chance for a few months so indulge me.
It shows, Joe. Where's the poll?
-
Sixty four nil to Arsenal.
-
No poll? Poor show from a Mod to make a basic error like that
-
I'll be happy if we get within six goals.
-
we just can't get the staff these days! I've added a poll.
-
I just hope many of the travelling claret and blue army take inflatable or other versions of the European cup to serenade our London chummies with. We might be going down but we have won it and not just been a fixture filler.
: )

A Villa manager who had won two of the last three FA Cup Finals would have been given a contract for life, been beatified if not deified and had the ground renamed after him by now. Spoilt children.

Some of their fans are utter Tarquin bellends, at the same I don't see how what they are doing is much different to us moaning that we were 'only' 6th, Charlton fans moaning they were 'only' mid-table under Curbishley and so on, fans always want more. They have the highest match day income in the world, they play in the richest league in the world, they sign players like Sanchez and Ozil. If it was us, I guarantee after years of finishing 3rd or 4th and getting knocked out in R2 of the CL that there'd be loads on here wanting, and expecting, more.

They are still ****** though, right?
-
That's a given.
-
It's going to be pretty bad, isn't it?
-
We were the first team to beat them at the Emirates and as it's the last time we'll be playing there for a while I've got a feeling we'll do 'em again. 1-0 to the mighty Villa.
-
We scored the first competitive goal there in a 1-1 draw.
-
That was the first game under Randy and the start of the great new era. Quite apt it will also be our last as a PL side and quite possibly our last under him.
-
Not a chance. At least 6.0
A final embarrassing kick in our bollocks. I feel sorry for the fans of the F.A cup holders. They'll probably finish 2nd in the league. Their long suffering fans deserve a medal.
-
They'll win the match. We'll win the atmosphere.
-

I was watching that game in a bar in Limassol. As it finished I got a call to say my oldest boy, then 7, had been injured in a freak accident and was in intensive care across town. Sobered me up a bit quick. He was fine in the end, out of hospital within 24 hours, no lasting damage, but not my greatest memory.
I was also in a hotel bar a mile up the coast four years later when MON quit on my 40th birthday. Thanks Martin.
-
How about we serenade Arsene to encourage him to leave them for a big club? If worked for Lambert...
I think we'll get thumped. But really who cares... Have a great day though folks! More inflatable sex dolls would be appreciated...
-
Attack Attack Attack Attack Attack - 4-0 defeat it is then. Cack out.

Post of the thread candidate.

At last a trophy!
-
Our last hoorah.
Incredible stuff as we win 2-1.
*scenes*

25 nil to Arsenal, 13 OGS from Lescott, 2 from Bacuna and 3 from Richards.
-
Are we planning to protest against their protest?
-
I expect them to win with ease, but lets at least dig in like the weekend, and please can we play the likes of Kozak and Traore? ::)
4-1 to the home side Alan Hutton to get ours ;) and one in his own net of course :D
-
Are we planning to protest against their protest?
My banner says Arsene you'd be loved up the Villa
-
Okay, who are the 12 jokers who have voted for a Villa win? Own up.
-
Right deep breath, here go's Black sets up team in usual fashion, players think he's gone at the end of game, Wengers Arsenal rocked by an all-out attacking Villa 0 - 3
-
Okay, who are the 12 jokers who have voted for a Villa win? Own up.
I am the one in 12 the number on a list.
-
The end of this wretched season. What a relief.

Don't be silly that can't happen if we have Guzan in goal - err on second thoughts

I'm in a whimsical mood at work and just fukin with your head.
-

not me mate , but if we score twice and keep a clean sheet , we could win this 2 nil

I have no issue with them wanting improvement. Protesting against a bloke who has achieved what he has is going too far though surely? We might have bitched about MON and wanted a change but we weren't demanding his head on a spike. That only came about when he did his Veruca Salt routine and flounced off.
-
0:1
Kubicki 25 yards out, turn on the volley and straight into the top right hand corner.
Late penalty missed by Steve Morrow (Save by Platt)
-
Is this going to be the double figures against fixture - I have been sensing one for ages.
-

It's still only a minority of them and it has been a decade of, for them, 'just' plodding along in 3rd or 4th every year and getting knocked out of Europe in round 2. I'm convinced if it was us in their position and paying £1000+ a season there'd be some of our fans wanting a change.

Decent effort. Close but no cigar.

What? I hate the end of the season. I'm gonna have to spend time with the misses doing jobs an stuff.
-
I would sooner have an Irish Wolfhound shit in my sock drawer than have this season carry on any further.
-

We'd be in for a long season if that was my preference haha
-
Arsene Wenger's claret & blue army!
-
"Manage a big club, you should manage a big club......"
-
I'm going to this but albeit in with the Arsenal fans. Last premier league game for a while methinks.
2-1 to Arsenal with both home and away fans bemoaning their seasons!
Roll on August 6th and Preston (A)!!!
-
I foresee a pretty similar outcome to game at Wembley against them almost a year ago. Wilshere will not have a Villa player come within ten yards of him all game and will immediately be hailed by the London press as a definite starter for England in the upcoming Euros. Wonderful stuff.
-
I know this will make me appear crazy and deluded, but I think we'll get at least a point, maybe a win even. Fuck Arsenal and their Johnny-come-lately 'fans'. If there's a way we can avoid defeat and spurs to finish above them, I'll be not happy, but satisfied. Enjoy the match, everyone who is going. Our away support has been fantastic this season, as ever. I just hope the bunch of spineless ****** give you something to cheer.
-
I agree with 'crazy 'n deluded' robbo.
A DRAW. Obviously 0-0 ;D
We will have a 1-5-4-0 formation, with Bacuna in his new position as a "libero"...just like Beckenbauer....but behind the 5 man defence instead of in front of a 4 man defence.
This makes sense to me, as I am now taking the same medication as Bluenose Black.
:-[
-
We'll get battered but who gives a shit? It's all about the fans on Sunday, not those "couldn't care less" merchants on the pitch. Fuck them. Getting to Finsbury Park for about 11. I'm thinking of "working from home" on Monday.
-
4-0 to the Arse
-
I do like the idea of some "Wenger to Villa" type chants.
-

jammy carnt Chico- I wish I was going too. Give Doug's windscreen a slap for me if you see him sitting in traffic. Come on Villa!
-

Hm hm. Me too. I'm sure our prospective owners will be there so it will show our standards expected.
Wenger or Steve Bruce...now my maths ain't the best but fuck me that's a no brainier.
-
3-0 Home win.
-
4-0 Arsenal.
-
we just can't get the staff these days! I've added a poll.
I've added a Pole too!

It's just the kind of utterly stupid thing that our club would go and do after the season we've had, isn't it?
-
2-1 Villa. I just had a dream during an afternoon nap, Arsenal 1 up at HT then two goals from Grealish late in the second half.
-
If, by some gargantuan slice of fortuity we did manage to win this, the Tarquins would be absolutely incensed, particularly the large quota that have been calling for Wenger's head for years. Listen to 606 or TS phone-ins and the volume of Wenger out calls is considerable, never mind the opinionated high profilers such as punchable Piers Morgan. But I was just thinking, would we react the same way if Wenger had come to us in 1996 and produced the same results that Arsenal have had since then? With the experience of our recent sorry plight you would think that we would all worship him and pray for his eternal existence. But we are football fans and I suspect that in general our reaction would be very much the same.

As Jack Charlton said when he was at Middlesbrough - "You take a team into division one and you're a hero. You take them halfway up the table and you're still a hero. You keep them there and you're a bum."

He'll do well to net from the bench..Black will have us hanging on to a respectable 2-0 loss...can't be having flair or attacking players on the pitch now can we..
-
Watching the kids last night there aren't that many banging down the door for a start so it'll be much of a muchness.
Guzan
Hutton
Lescott
Toner
Clarke
Westwood
Sanchez
Bacuna
Grealish
Ayew

Well for me the match itself just gets in the way of a good day on the piss with the lads this season. That's what I'm talking about.

All together now - ''He used to be shite, but now he's alright....''
I might have that in a double with Elvis Presley landing a space ship in the centre circle at half time. Probably get lower odds on the Elvis bet but well worth having it in the double.

Richards
Lescott
Richardson
Sinclair
Sanchez
Westwood
Gana
N'Zogbia
Agbonlahor
Let's go out with a bang!

Oops - missed Cissokho at left back...
Yes, he's been missing at left back quite a bit this season!
;-)
-
That is without a doubt. I still don't know why Eric Black fails to pick Maldini. And I suppose I should have gone for Boniek instead of Bacuna.
-
It would be nice if Black could give the likes of Adama, Green and Hepburn-Murphy a go.

I've heard the saying 'don't change a winning team' but Black with his 35 years experience in football has learnt that you shouldn't change a losing team. This obviously works as he managed to break our 11 game losing streak. So with this in mind it will be the same 11 as last week. Another depressing defeat, 8-0 to Arsenal.

Will they all be scored by the same guy from a total of 9 shots on goal?
-
Sky are showing 4 live matches on Sunday. So it's odds on that we will be able to see our last game as a Premier league club, for what maybe some considerable time.
-
Nah - at least 3 relegation games if Sunderland down't win tonight and Narrrrrch do. And then Leicester or Spuds.
-
A routine home win 5-0 I'm thinking. Looking again at our probable team I want to cry. A truely awful squad. Please let's get some real investment and a decent manager
-

With relegation now settled, I expect that Arse v the Arses will be one of the four games
-

Relegation sorted, title sorted, 2nd 3rd and 4th 5th to be sorted. Don't get too excited, but we could be on the box.

Man Utd v Bournemouth, Swansea v Man City, Stoke v West Ham are the TV games.

Strange choice of games really. Mind you, it is West Ham's first game since playing at Upton Park for the last time.
-
Stoke v West Ham, now that alone makes the £200 per month sky subscription worth it.
Fuck me.
-
I actually think we'll get something, I'm going for a win 3-2
-
Get a right stuffing I think 5-1 to them
-

Have you been in the garden? Without your sun hat? With your hairline? Again?
-
Personally I think this is going to be really bad 7-0 Arsenal.
-
25-0 to Arsenal.
Arsenal fans will boo at the end.
-
Ted Drake's record is under threat.
-
Black will put out a team to minimize the damage but we'll still ship 5 or 6.

They are the only games with anything at all riding on them, it's Sky's ultimate nightmare on their big Finale to have just about everything decided already.
-
3-0 Arsenal, at the final whistle reality will hit home and the party will stop for us!
-
I'm afraid it will be the same from Black. Damage limitation. He'd come out with a bit of kudos if he at least put a couple of the younger lads in the team or at least on the bench and maybe bought them on in the second half.
Black strikes me as a bloke who'd be a nice neighbour who'd lend you his strimmer but you wouldn't invite him to your house party as he'd be regaling tales about you borrowing his strimmer.
-
7-0
Drake with all 7
-
5-0.
-
The Arse Loads; us with one shot on target - but on our own goal.
Thankfully, we don't go again.
-
Strange that the last game of this miserable season of hell should be against the same lot as last season. We never turned up then and i don't expect us to this time.Would be nice to actually score against them but as our manager will go hoping for a 0-0 i doubt we will even have a shot let alone score 5-0
-
25-0 to Arsenal.
Arsenal fans will boo at the end.
They will also boo when he replaces Sanchez shortly after he's scored his eleventh with a kid who has won a competition to be sub for the day with 2 minutes, remaining Sanchez the opportunity to score a quadruple hat trick. The kid scores two, a tap in following a cock up between Lescott and Guzan and another tap in following a mix up between Richards, Lescott and Guzan.
-
I actually think we'll get something, I'm going for a win 3-2
Keep on dreaming man!
I'll actually be happy with anything that's not a thumping.
-
This will be a great day out for 3,000 noisy Villa fans, saying goodbye to the PL in style. As for the game, I think we'll lose 4-0, remaining on lists for years to come of the 'Top 5 worst PL teams'.
-
ive never ever wanted us to get a thumping but i fear this could be 6/7 then i hope the fans just turn their back on the team on 74 mins

Agreed, at least we'll always travel in numbers and be vocal for 90 minutes, unlike that shower from Small Heath.
-
8-0.
-
Rudy Gestede has returned to training and could be fit – but Alan Hutton, Ciaran Clark, Kieran Richardson and Jordan Veretout are all doubts.
-
The definition of a "nothing game", and only really interesting if you particularly hate Arsenal or Tottenham. I hate both of them equally so meh. 3-0
-
Off down Southend for the night before the game tomorrow. A shock result would be very nice and looking forward to a noisy away end.

i think you are more like.y to get a shock result with an Essex girl in Southend than anything at the Emirates.

Any players in particular you'd like to see promoted from the U21s for this game mate?
-
Don't think I've ever cared less about the result of a game than tomorrow. I'll be too busy singing for 90 minutes and doing the conga to even see their 6 goals fly in.
-
"Arsenal 3 Aston Villa 1"
-
looking forward to the Conga tomorrow - We're Vill till we die.
-
"Oh our team is dire, your defence ain't terrified, Oh our team is dire..."
-
"Oh our team is dire, your defence ain't terrified, Oh our team is dire..."
Haha I like that.
-
Arsenal 2 Villa 0.
We'll still win the League though....
-
Going tomorrow,
really looking forward to it
The games home and away I've been to since relegation and just before are some of the most memorable ever, and I've seen Villa in the old 3rd div
Best in the land
Don't give a fuck about the result

Good for you pal ! I like that the fans especially away from home have come across as ultra supportive and made as good a sitiuation as could be.
It is a case of enjoy it and a slite changing to english chant sing heart out for the club (rather than the lads) !
Hell with it lets say a 2-2 !
-
I'm currently planning on going swimming to avoid it.
-
Avoid what? We've been down for weeks, who cares. I can't wait, and the Arsenal fans won't know what's hit them. We've finished bottom and they'll be in awe of our support while they sit in silence because they've only finished 3rd.

there was a video on YouTube a few years back of all the Villa fans in the concourse, many in fancy dress. You should dig that spongebob costume out again Conman...
-
One last hurrah, or in our case one last chance to be a shambles.
Arse have it all to play for, I can't see it ending well for us, at least 4-0.
-
I fancy Chrissie Price to pop up with a winner then not know how to celebrate (which would be entirely in keeping with the rest of the squad lets face it).
" We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day".
-
Arsenal lots Villa nil. It's going to be horrendous.
-
Arsenal team talk...right lads stay awake today..don't all go to the bar at the same time..don't throw your half eaten burgers on the pitch..when you're not using them put your phone's behind the goal...oh and don't forget your sun tan cream....easy 3 points and catch you all in the bar later.
-
I'm currently planning on going swimming to avoid it.
You can swim for 2 hours Lizz? #respect
-
