Title: chair appointment
Post by: trevor fisher on January 06, 2016, 11:55:27 PM
Reports say at the meeting before the arsenal game Fox said a chair was to be appointed. Anyone know what Is happening to this appointment? Chair of what I would ask, but anything that suggests someone with football knowledge might be coming to take charge would be welcome.

Trevor Fisher.

Knowing our board they've probably lined up someone on the basis they've got four seasons experience of playing Championship Manager.

Nothing has been said since then. We will ask again at the AVST AGM.

I don't want a darts player as Villa's chairman

I would like it to be Jacqui Smith however she currently Chairs both Heart Of England and QE University Hospital Trusts. Big Villa fan and I believe a season ticket holder.

Independent Chair would not be answerable to Lerner more the other way round however with only one shareholder (Lerner) it's a moot point.

It's likely to be The Chair Of Indefinite Studies, in which case I propose Ridcully for the position.

I would have two chairs: one up top in place of Gestede (it would stay on its legs for longer) and one in place of Guzan (it would command its area with more authority and probably keep its near post covered.

Surely a commode is more appropriate right now?

Surely Gestede's replacement would have to be a la-z-boy recliner, whilst Guzan's can only be this Danish design classic from Arne Jacobsen

That's right folks, it's called Dråben, or in English, The Drop
