I'm afraid can't agree with you Dave on this occasion. The fact that we can't win at home is 100% down to us being rubbish. I don't recall us losing many home games under MON's reign.

And I can't remember winning many!

I made a similar point to my brother about how under different circumstances we could take comfort from a decent performance but it is cold comfort when we are so desperate for wins.

Indeed. Makes you wonder how on earth we managed those 3 consecutive top 6 finishes!

I noticed that. I tried to start a round of "Sanchez, Sanchez, Carlos, Carlos Sanchez, he's got big hair but we don't care,  Carlos, Carlos Sanchez! in A2 but got tutted down.

I gave it a quick "Yippee Ayew, Yippee Ayew! Jordan is gonna score!" before people started looking around for a steward.

Pre-match atmosphere was understandably flat.

I just received this text from a Wet Spam supporting work colleague.  Kind of sums up the article.

Ok, the team are underachieving - but the place is too passive. The PA system wasn't even on prior to kick off on boxing day - why not put videos on of European triumphs or great goals, an anthem to walk out to -  anything! Micah Richards' interview today was that of a debutant, not a captain. Everything is so wrong. Such a shame, because it is a good club. Was very impressed by the stadium and facilities - was just too 'nice' though.

It's been like this since Ellis demolished the Trinity.
Lovely view, nice concourse but no atmosphere whatsoever.
What have we gained? A few extra seats, in comparison to what we have lost.

I'll blame him for many things, but not that. If it hadn't been demolished it would have fallen down; it was totally unsuited for modern football.

Ok, I am searching for answers and the atmosphere is less intimidating since it went.
