We are fucked.
-
This is going to be bad.
-
I can't bring myself to post the team.
-
Expecting the expected. ::)
-
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time!
-
I can't bring myself to post the team.
Villa team: Oh dear.
Arsenal team: quadruple oh dear.
-
Come on the Villa. Lescott to score the winner. Yes, I've started drinking early-although it is 10pm here in Japan. Keep the faith lads!
-
Come on villa
We have been annihilated on MOTD 2
Absolutely took the piss.
Its a long funeral for villa.
Anyone can beat anyone in this league but villa.
They are down.
Saying getting rid of sherwood is a mistake ffs.
Saying they cant score . Well playing gestede again makes me wonder and Sinclair
Come on villa
Please
My year has been shit.
Win this fucking game .

Going outside to sweep up leaves and put up some lights the only positive result today I fear. Will listen the the game on the radio.

Gestede.. again. lol.

I just watched that. Ouch.

Why the doom and gloom? That team, given the injuries, is pretty much as expected. Is this an in-joke that I've missed out on (I still don't get the Barry penalty joke).
-
Win please Villa somehow.

#AVLARS reminds me of "'AVinaLARf"
-
live on sky sports.
Fuck.
-
No creativity in midfield.
I'd have played Gil or Grealish instead of Gestede and put Ayew in the middle.
We're getting nothing out of a side with Gestede as our focal point. If there's one think Metersacker can deal with easily, it's high balls. If there's one thing he struggles with it's pace and movement, so naturally as we're Aston Fucking Villa, we play Rudy Ges-fucking-tede up front who is one of the few players in the world who makes Metersacker look like Usain Bolt.
-
They look beaten in the tunnel, from Richards to Just-head.
-
Never mind the stupid flag, check out the music, usually played at Satanist witch covens where virgins are rodgered by blokes in Christopher Lee masks before having a dagger plunged into their rosy, pale breasts and their blood drunk by evil demon-lovers.
-
I thought that too, Bad English
-
What, pale, rosy breasts?1
1 Over 18 of course.
-
Where does Jordan Lyden play?
-
They look beaten in the tunnel, from Richards to Just-head.
Is Richards playing?
-
Penalty?
The fuck.
-
They look beaten in the tunnel, from Richards to Just-head.
Is Richards playing?
Oops! Meant Lescott.
-
That's all we fucking need. All we fucking need. Fucking Hutton letting Walcott get wrong side of him.
-
They look beaten in the tunnel, from Richards to Just-head.
Is Richards playing?
Thought they dropped him for being a ******?!
-
Makes me fucking sick.
-
Great start.
Fuck me, we are literally the worst team I have ever seen.
I would happily take relegation now, last place. Just forfeit every game and put us out of this abject misery
-
Well, that has got the suspense over with.
-
Well it's clear who this ****** of a ref supports already.
-
Pathetic from Hutton.
Just hoping this doesn't turn into complete humiliation.
-
Dear oh dear
-
Hutton has been making mistake after mistake recently .he aint good enough
-
When stuff like this happens, in the context of this season, it makes me think fuck this game, I want to see two footed tackles galore and some red cards. Just fuck it.
-
Christ almighty. Saying who's surprised.
-
Happy Relegation everyone. I see we are a goal down early again. It will be a relief in some ways when it is made official. Goodness me.
-
They look beaten in the tunnel, from Richards to Just-head.
Is Richards playing?
Thought they dropped him for being a c***?!
The beardy one was standing at the front and I got confused.
-
Jesus
-
Truly terrible from Hutton. I give up.
-
So depressing.. :-\
-
These morons love losing.
-
Every time Sinclair tries to dribble past someone, I hear in my head "You think you can do these things, but you can't Nemo!".
-
Hutton is beyond shit, I can't stand the imbecile.
-
Hutton fuck off
-
Hutton looks such an inadequate player so often
Definite pen. Terrible passing.
-
Hutton having a stinker. Is he getting booed?
-
Hutton having a stinker. Is he getting booed?
Only by the arsenal fans so far
-
Afternoon, gents.
Business as usual I see. Is this our crap half or our better half?
-
Hutton having a stinker. Is he getting booed?
Yes, but to be fair most of the villa players should be.
-
Yea he's being booed by the Arsenal fans
It sounds like there about 20,000 of them
-
Hutton having a stinker. Is he getting booed?
Yes by Arsenal fans
-
Our players make me furious the way they don't just lose the 50:50 balls but also most 60:40 and 70:30 in their favour balls. Weak, spineless tossers.
-
Free kick. Come on Bacuna.
-
Free kick. Come on Bacuna.
Too far out for a crack. Decent ball from Veretout.
-
I was more likely to pull Monica Bellucci than Villa were of scoring from that free-kick.
-
Ooh we look shocking at the back
Veretout and Sinclair doing well
-
Sometimes i think sinclair atarts like ronaldo and then finishes like charles nzogbia
-
The back four and goalkeeper is what will send us down. I realize we can't score but when you can't defend even the best forward line in the world isn't going to save you. We cannot do the basics let alone do them well.
-
How has Hutton got the audacity to wear Gold fucking boots ... #pubplayer
-
Post No.1 covered everything.
Hate football, hate Arsenal.
-
It really does show the lack of ambition and heart from the top filters down to on the pitch.
Does anyone know if he is actually still seeking a buyer for the club or was his mate right about him having found his mojo again and staying?
-
Were be stuck with hutton bacuna gestede and gabby for the championship
-
I was more likely to pull Monica Bellucci than Villa were of scoring from that free-kick.
thank you, that was a pleasant couple of minutes googling Ms Bellucci!
-
It's the hope that kills you.Which means I must be in the sixth circle of hell.An eternal purgatory
-
It really does show the lack of ambition and heart from the top filters down to on the pitch.
Does anyone know if he is actually still seeking a buyer for the club or was his mate right about him having found his mojo again and staying?
He'll be the only fucker with any major if that's the case. These cuts have sacked the fucking life out of me.
-
We ain't got no fuckin hope..no hope this season at all.
-
I really don't think I can take any more.
-
Poor stuff, Gestede is garbage, lumbers around the pitch.
Rather they just went shit or bust second half as you just cannoy organise this shower of shit
-
Keep them pinned down in our half, keep the score in single figures = Moral Victory.
-
Makes you laugh when people said at the beginning of the season this is one of the best squads we have had in years.
-
Get Gil, Traore and Grealish on at half time and just say fuck it. We've already reached the point of the season where we might as well go for it every match.
-
I really don't think I can take any more.
Me neither.. after all of the hardship we've faced over the last few years today is the first day I've asked myself, "what the f- am I doing watching this?"
I'm almost starting to resent the club. It's all just too painful anymore.
-
Makes you laugh when people said at the beginning of the season this is one of the best squads we have had in years.
The problem areas haven't been fixed for five years and any quality we once had in other positions was slowly sifted out of the side.
-
Niall Quinn essentially saying we just look resigned to lose and that gents, is the last five years in a nutshell. No fight, no guts, no pride.
referee is a cu@t mind you....
-
Makes you laugh when people said at the beginning of the season this is one of the best squads we have had in years.
To be fair, credit wheremail it's due........
-

Missed first 30 mins doing diy which seemed better than watching us. Was hoping id turn on and we would be winning. I see nothing has changed. Back to my tool box I think
-
This ref is basically cupping their balls at this point.
-
Niall Quinn says blatant penalty, Martin keown says it wasn't. Either way we look a pub team and the arsenal fans are knobs
-
Biggest cheer of the day ...... He have us a free kick
-
Where the FUCK was the defence?
How can a single through ball get to a 3 v 1. Shocking.
-
So easy i'm laughing.
-
Ayew breaks with the ball and Rudy just jogs ahead of him, not making any space ro receive the ball or anything. Awful and lazy
As I type no 2 goes in
-
Makes you laugh when people said at the beginning of the season this is one of the best squads we have had in years.

Tell me about it. I see a lot of below average footballers, honestly not a lot better than what we see in the championship that, and I'll say it again, have zero fight! And if you don't have that in your personality when you're bottom then you have no chance.
This is the one thing that I detest about this Paddy Reilly....you can have as many stats and figures on your laptop as you like. You can't tap into their mindset though.
And it's 2.....
-
OK. I'll "take" 0-4 now. Where do I sign?
-
Ho hum.
-
Aston Villa: failure junkies.
-
What's bloody Okore doing all the way up there.
-
Good night, God Bless
-
Game over season over ...just utter shambles we don't even concede good goals its just school boy defending week in week out and has been for years...
-
I predict violence will ensue.
-
Crap
-
I'm laughing too, I'd go mental at that goal playing Sunday League.
-
Fucking hell, the traffic must be bad in Aston!
-
Lets hope they ease off in the second half like last season
-
I fucking hate Randy Lerner.
-
Fucking hell, the traffic must be bad in Aston!
On the bright side, not that many turned up anyway.
-
Just what is the Fucking point its embarrassing.
-
Training game now...
-
Seriously though if Sherwood had very little input in purchasing these muppets then Reilly and co should of faced the sack when he did.
-
Fucking hell, the traffic must be bad in Aston!
On the bright side, not that many turned up anyway.
I think I'd be tempted to nip into the concourse for three quick pints of warm Carsberg to numb the pain too.
-
Two easiest goals you'll ever see a team score, no fucking joking.
-
I can't fucking stand the sight of any of those twats in our shirt. They all make me fucking sick. Just fuck off you bunch of horrid wankers.
-
The worse villa team wver now
-
I can't fucking stand the sight of any of those twats in our shirt. They all make me fucking sick. Just fuck off you bunch of horrid wankers.
Couldn't agree more
-
Hutton fuck off to burton albion please
-
Hutton fuck off to burton albion please
Ha
-
Hutton fuck off to burton albion please
If he does, he will be playing us next season!
-
No fight, no desire, no tactics, naive in the extreme. It starts with Randy, through Fox, through Garde, through the players. We need relegation just to create some finality. This has been going for too long and it has caught up to us.
-
Gestede why ???????
-
Where's the idiot Lerner today? He's the vandal at this club. 5 years of utter rubbish.
-
We're a disgraceful excuse for a football club, and have been for years. Our love affair with losing is almost masochistic. Can we reform as a canoeing club or something? Football isn't our game.
-
The lazy chasing back of Sanchez for that second goal sums it up for me
-
Where's the idiot Lerner today? He's the vandal at this club. 5 years of utter rubbish.
Yep and his fucking cronies can piss off as well.
-
Oh fuck off!*
*Just thinking aloud about Villa.
-
Weak Villa, just weak!
-
Thank fuck that was offside.
Get Sanchez off immediately.
-
I don't blame the players, they are obviously not good enough. I blame the people who signed them and above that the people who appointed the people who signed them. They are the people upon whom the blame should fall.
-
Right, someone get santa on the fucking roof
-
May as well resign from the league.
-
I can't fucking stand the sight of any of those twats in our shirt. They all make me fucking sick. Just fuck off you bunch of horrid wankers.
Couldn't agree more
Me too
You see at Bournemouth the fight in their players that none of us ever heard of before and it makes me sick to compare it with us. You can say all you like about the signings and who to blame, but they are too a man, bloody awful. There is just no effort or application or anything
-
That team is a fucking shambles, probably not good enough to finish mid table in the Championship.
-
We are a national laughing stock
-
"The only positive for Villa is that it's the same score line from 17 years ago"......
Thanks!
-
We are a national laughing stock
More likely worldwide by now.
-
I don't blame the players, they are obviously not good enough. I blame the people who signed them and above that the people who appointed the people who signed them. They are the people upon whom the blame should fall.
Fuck the players. I don't them being shit. I can't stand the lack of fight, passion or fucking respect.
-
I heard we were losing before I got in. Wish I'd gone home.
-
How does Lerner catch no flack at the matches?
-
All of that was caused by fucking Hutton. What a complete dickhead. With our fragile confidence the last thing you do is gift them a goal and he did just that. Why oh why did we give the tosser another contract
-
Forget next three games are vital talk, we're down, were over the abyss and the players know it and they couldn't give a fuck. They should as not one of them will be picked up by any other club.
Hutton, woeful beyond belief
Gestede, hilarious impression of a footballer
Sanchez, The Phantom of the midfield
Sinclair, promising ten mins then absolute fuck all since
the rest were merely piss poor
-
That team is a fucking shambles, probably not good enough to finish mid table in the Championship.
Plus all these players will have release clauses no doubt so well lose a fair chunk of what we paid.
-
Who would have guessed 4 or 5 short years ago the likes of
Leicester
Palace
Watford
Southampton
Bournemouth
Stoke
Would be flying high and look like their football is on a different planet to ours.
Awful, awful, awful
We will be playing Burton and f in Coventry next season and the like of Brighton will be in a division above us.
-
How does Lerner catch no flack at the matches?
I know, where's the "SACK THE BOARD" and "RANDY LERNER, WHAT A WANKER" chants!? At least let him know something is wrong because he probably still think's we're in the top four.
-
We are a national laughing stock
No, nobody gives a shit which is way worse.
-
We're shit, that's clear but why the fuck does the ref thunk they need a helping hand? The second was piss poor defending but that doesn't dtop the decision to not give Gana a freekick any less ridiculous, He's 5 yards away, which isn't much further than Ramsey was from the ball. That's the sort of shit bottom of the league teams always have against them.
-
I can't fucking stand the sight of any of those twats in our shirt. They all make me fucking sick. Just fuck off you bunch of horrid wankers.
I feel very much the same about some of them, but not all. I feel for Ayew, Veretout, Okore.
But the rest, I feel pure apathy. Mainly Hutton, Sanchez, Bacuna and Gestede. Shambolic players. 'Players', should I say. Death to them.
It's only 2-0, i don't know what else to say.
-
Not sure if anyone saw Chris Eubank Jr v Gary O'Sullivan last night but O'Sullivans team just quit.
Villa are O'Sullivan.
-
Always late in when selling the fanzine. I got into the stand as Arsenal took the penalty. I was half tempted to turn round and go home. It's shit and cold
-
Pathetic really.
The only player who appears to care is Ayew, and he was the one we signed who came with a reputation for petulance. The lack of effort from some of these players is appalling.
Gana at least is putting himself about, but there's very little end product from him either defensively or offensively.
Take them all to the glue factory. Close down Villa park and spend 6 months hosing the stink of failure out of the ground.
I hate this squad. I hate the people running this club. I feel a little sorry for Remi inheriting such abject shit, but even so, he's made some appalling decisions and doesn't appear to have motivated the squad in any clear way so as such I probably wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire either and won't shed a tear if he's not here in May.
-
Thing is every other club seems capable of pulling off a surprise result. Not us we are fucking dreadful.
-
Thing is every other club seems capable of pulling off a surprise result. Not us we are fucking dreadful.
This sums it up for me.
-
Time for the board to face the shit storm I'm afraid.
-
I honestly can't see us winning again this season. I think we're going to obliterate all kinds of records for abjectness.
-
It's strange sitting here waiting for how many goals they are going to wing by.... Not sure why I don't go home to the warmth!
-
Very soon I'll be giving up on the second half and watching an Adam Sandler film instead. This is what it's come to.
-
Not usually one for hysterical comments but we are the worst team in this league by some distance.
-
Its a good job Arsenal have injuries, played midweek and are not trying.
-
Not usually one for hysterical comments but we are the worst team in this league by some distance.
agreed. I honestly cant see us winning 5 more games in the league. at the minute, even one seems out of the question.
-
I've seen enough. They just don't seem to give a fcuk. I can put up with lack or ability, but no heart and effort is inexcusable.
-
Not usually one for hysterical comments but we are the worst team in this league by some distance.
I'm not one for hyperbole either but I'm pretty sure that...umm...yeah...we're the worst team in the WORLD!!!
-
It's strange sitting here waiting for how many goals they are going to wing by.... Not sure why I don't go home to the warmth!
Saw quite a few leaving from P6.
-

I know, where's the "SACK THE BOARD" and "RANDY LERNER, WHAT A WANKER" chants!? At least let him know something is wrong because he probably still think's we're in the top four.
God forbid that anyone should blame that thick twat. Careful too, not to make it personal. It is only after all your beloved Villa he's fucked up. He's really quite a nice chap too by all accounts and he doesn't mean it.
-
we could possibly end up the worst PL side ever. time now for new faces - it can't get any worse so let's be seeing Adama & Co 2nd half.
-
That was as shocking as it gets. Weak defensively and non-existent in attack. Gestede is so out of his depth. I'd prefer to see Gabby leading the line. Sinclair runs around a lot but isn't a footballer. Ayew at least seems to care but he's no real threat.
In their defence it's not as if we're giving them much service. Far too much still going down the right to Hutton, who's having a stinker today. We have the best crosser in the side on the other side but Bacuna isn't getting to see much of the ball and when he does he looks to pass it back.
We look like a team playing in quicksand.
-
Newcastle and Bournemouth the past two weeks have been in their faces and fought for everything and got the crowd onside. Therein lies the difference. No fight, no passion, no leadership. Down by March.
-
We weren't doing too badly until the penalty. Heads didn't half drop afterwards, and that is the biggest problem Garde has.
Walcott got past Hutton far too easily and couldn't hit the ground hard enough when he felt hands on him. Still Hutton's fault for doing it in the first place but I would like to see that alongside the incident against Manu where Richards took the mother of all gropings at a corner and got nothing.
Arsenal look pretty ordinary, but that is all they need to be. It's annoying.
-
We were 2 0 at HT 17 years ago...........
-
I'm not angry watching this, just sad.
It's like watching a boxer still fighting that should have packed it in years ago and now gets picked off with ease.
-
fuck the fuckers. Buy a new team
-
reduced to this! FFS someone get a grip of this club!!
-
I'm not angry watching this, just sad.
It's like watching a boxer still fighting that should have packed it in years ago and now gets picked off with ease.
All a bit Roy Jones Jr I agree.
-
What makes me sicker than anything is the descriptions that pop up every now and again during and after a game from the official site on Facebook. It's as if we're always somehow unfortunate or plucky. Or there's a suggestion we're playing well. It's the sort of shitty rose tinted, "it's all okay" view that seems to permeate through the whole club from the top down, as if this is somehow okay. Players don't raise their game and seem to believe they're earning their crust.
It's sickening.
Just once I'd like to see a post from the official site simply state..."What the fuck is this shit?"
-
50p head.
-
I'm not angry watching this, just sad.
It's like watching a boxer still fighting that should have packed it in years ago and now gets picked off with ease.
Holyfield after Lewis beat him. He was losing to nohodies he coild have beat in his sleep a decade earlier
-
Thierry Henry is a bit of a c*** isn't he?
-
Fucking Gestede, can't even do the one thing he can do.
-
Newcastle and Bournemouth the past two weeks have been in their faces and fought for everything and got the crowd onside. Therein lies the difference. No fight, no passion, no leadership. Down by March.
I'd say this post was a bit negative, but you're quite generous with the down by March comment.
-
Get Adama on I just want to see what he can do.
-
Thierry Henry is a bit of a c*** isn't he?
Jar Jar Binks on the commentary is he? I'm watching with the sound off.
-
When they piss around all week doing Bad Santa videos is it any surprise we look so shit on match day.
-
Thierry Henry is a bit of a c*** isn't he?
You didn't say that when he played for Barcelona.
-

What is the record for earliest premier league relegation? Whatever it is, I'm sure we are aiming to beat to go with all the other negative records we have broken?
-
No one can seriously be surprised. Its the hope thats killing you all - I'd bet my house now we are going down.
The good news is that I am one of the few who believe it might be the turning point, whereas another survival by the skin of our teeth will just prolong the averageness. Lets go down, clear out, give Remi some serious support, and then with a winning season, we come back and stick the laughs back down their throats.
-
Get Adama on I just want to see what he can do.
Yep, he is about the only thing at the moment I think that we have that could get us some results.
He needs as much game time as possible.
-
Graeme Souness is clearly not impressed by Grealish then ("Jack who?")!
-
No one can seriously be surprised. Its the hope thats killing you all - I'd bet my house now we are going down.

You think we'd come straight back up with this lot?!
-
That was well played and Sinclair should have scored.
-
Sinclair that aint good enough
-
At least get the fucking thing on target Sinclair, best chance of the game for us
-
I was expecting a MASSIVE cheer when Just-Head went off.
-
I like Veretout he's a good player.
-
Hit the reset button in the summer, get rid of the clowns on and off the pitch, get rid of that shitty badge which promised so much and delivered fuck all (and revert to our glorious round one).
We are Aston Villa. We will be back. Not sure how long it will take but we're definitely not escaping this time. The club is a disgrace. From the boardroom to the pitch.
-
Thierry Henry is a bit of a c*** isn't he?
You didn't say that when he played for Barcelona.
Funnily enough I read something about his time at Barcelona and his attitude towards some of the promising players they had, notably Iniesta. He was told not to be such a c***.
-
I'm phoning Nicky Keyes tomorrow.
-
Why didn't we least start with this team.
-
No one can seriously be surprised. Its the hope thats killing you all - I'd bet my house now we are going down.

You think we'd come straight back up with this lot?!
No - thats why I said "clear out". If we stick with this lot, we'd struggle again
-
I'm phoning Nicky Keyes tomorrow.
did you have a dry turkey too?
-
Thing is we've actually played ok this half.
-
Why did we not start the game playing like this?
-

Averageness? There's nothing vaguely average about this club. It's a shithouse. And this is what's really painful. Shit teams are one thing. But this whole club has become shit. As much as it sickens me to say it, Ian Holloway was right.
-
"Knockin' on the door a little bit..."
Yes. And then running away.
-
Sinclair off > Grealish/Adama on
He's tackling himself at the moment?! Fecking useless!
-
Why did we not start the game playing like this?
The "fuck it" mentality only kicks in when we've already lost the game.
-
Give adama a go
-
Why did we not start the game playing like this?
because Arse hadn't taken their foot off the gas?
-
Get Adama on we need a miracle.
-
I'm phoning Nicky Keyes tomorrow.
did you have a dry turkey too?
I'm hoping she can give us some calming words from the General, something along the lines of how it will all be alright and how much he and his mate are hurting.
-

Spot on.
-
Some good stuff being played for the last 15 minutes. A mist shroud is descending though.
-
Get Adama on we need a miracle.
get him on and let him bag his 75k a week! All for a bit of pain for Randy
-
Why did we not start the game playing like this?
because Arse hadn't taken their foot off the gas?
But we weren't hounding their defenders to start with, we were sitting back and letting them cross the HW line at will.
-
No one can seriously be surprised.
I understand where you are coming from but fear we wont bounce back. It's a hard league to get out of and we coudl be joined by Sundeland and Newcastle wo also feel they should bounce back.
-
I'm phoning Nicky Keyes tomorrow.
did you have a dry turkey too?
I bumped into her in the Bartons when they were planning the Holte Pub renovation. She said I could always give her a ring if I had any problems with tickets. I'm ringing her tomorrow about the team.
*Feeble Mod joke*

According to the latest update on BBC Sport we've had 15 shots to their 4! :o Are they including long range passes as shots by mistake? ::)
-
I've just got home from work and tuned in. Wish I hadn't!

They are missing a decimal point. It is 1.5 shots to their 4
-
a few more losses and Randy will be sending his plane to some random football outpost
-
Why did we not start the game playing like this?
The "fuck it" mentality only kicks in when we've already lost the game.
And the other team have relaxed
-
In phase two now, villa huff and puff. Arsenal get two late goals in phase three
-
Thing is we've competed this half, but we already killed ourselves with the first half.

We were the better team until the penalty.
-
Who was the last player we had that could actually threaten regularly with shots from distance? Hizlsperger?
-
No one talks on the pitch

For 6 minutes..?
-

Agreed. We just struggled to play for 90 mins, and we just lack any cutting edge even having played better.
-
Hutton is shit who paid nine million for him
-
I cannot see us ever scoring
-
The issue now with the upcoming transfer window is convincing players to join when the likelihood is they will be embroiled in what appears to a pointless battle to survive. What player of any significance wants to further their career at a club that is almost certain to go down?

i think we'd walk back into the PL at the first attempt - the Championship is far worse than people think, we'd be a cut above in that league even as bad as we are. With the right additions, trust in Remi, and vocal backing, we'd be back for the 17/18 season.

I'm not so sure. Players will go where the money is, and if you give them a get out relegation clause they will come.
We have to spend if we want a chance of staying up.

I'll have some of what your on please!

listening to talksport, they are discussing if we are the worst team ever

Averageness? There's nothing vaguely average about this club. It's a shithouse. And this is what's really painful. Shit teams are one thing. But this whole club has become shit. As much as it sickens me to say it, Ian Holloway was right.
Spot on.
Not at the time he wasn't - the little yokel fuckrat.
-
I want some of what you're drinking mate. Nice to think about it but I can't see it right now.
-
Fuck me Hutton you are utterly shit

Seriously?! With these clowns in charge, we wouldn't get the backing, we wouldn't make the right additions, and we certainly wouldn't be a cut above most teams in the Championship! If (sorry.... when!) we go down, we're down there for the foreseeable.
-

If we go down would you really trust the chairman to invest in a team to get us up, because I don't. Kiss goodbye to the few decent players we have as soon as we're down.
The Championship would be an unmitigated disaster.
-
I cannot see us ever scoring
Hard to believe we actually scored in the last 2 games. How did that happen.
-
We truly are stunningly inept at the back. No structure, always on the back foot, constantly giving it away, being turned inside out. Absolutely no discipline at all.
-
Shite control from Sinclair - Adama would be a better option.
-

We can't even get up for Prem games at home. You think our lot would be chomping at the bit to play in the Chump? I fear an expectant, self-loathing lot that have no gumption to bounce right back.
-
Worst home run ever
-

Well one thing is for sure - we will get to see who is right because we are utterly shit and relegation certainties. The Championship it is folks - get used to it and fast
-
I'm glad I didn't go today. It's as soul destroying watching on TV as it is there in the flesh.
Villa Park looks a thoroughly depressing place.
-
Worst home run ever
Is it?
Another super record smashed by Randy's Villa.
-
Impotent and inept.
-
on the positive side, this is better than get relegated on the last day
-
haha, Adama for a couple minutes.. pointless.
-
traore for 5 minutes?
-
Yep worst run of games at home ever they said. Eighty odd years
-
Has Jack touched the ball yet?
-
On you go Adama, you've got 3 minutes.
-
on the positive side, this is better than get relegated on the last day
Unless once it becomes a certainty they play with freedom and go on a run and only finish a point or two adrift. How frustrating would that be?
-
Has Jack touched the ball yet?
Yes.
-
It's really quite stunning how poor the team is. All the money that has been spent as well. I fear we may be away from the Prem for quite some time after we sell all of our best players again in the off-season.
-
I find watching Villa every week at the moment as an utterly soul destroying experience. From the hope that we might actually do something through to the inevitable first goal going in an the great sense of disappointment at the final whistle.
Simple fact is that I really cannot remember ever seeing a Villa team this bad. I think it will be the Championship for us, a parachute payment will soften the blow somewhat, but we'd better get used to it.
I'll always support Villa, but I find it very very hard to maintain the love for them at the moment. It's more just an inevitable morbid curiosity now.
-
Yes a record that has been in tact for 94 years broken. 9 home league games without a win.
-
haha, Adama for a couple minutes.. pointless.
Lorne greene could be on the pitch and it wouldn't make a difference
-

I don't think the fear of relegation is the reason we are so shite?
-
Yep worst run of games at home ever they said. Eighty odd years
Haven't won a homer since May I believe?
-
traore for 5 minutes?
We'll done Garde.....Why not 15-20 minutes ago?
-
We are so poor in every facet of the game.
-
haha, Adama for a couple minutes.. pointless.
He gets the unique experience of standing about for 3 minutes
-
Please start the next game with Adama. A few runs like that and you never know.
-
How is Traore not starting games is beyond me. Gil also
-
Adama states his claim on the starting squad.
-
That is why Adama has to play more than 5 minutes.
-
Can anyone tell me what is it people employed in senior professional positions at the club see that warrants hardly ever starting with your best players?
-
Adama states his claim on the starting squad.
And then he shows why he's not.
-
haha, Adama for a couple minutes.. pointless.
Lorne greene could be on the pitch and it wouldn't make a difference
So say we all
-

Good players go where the wages are. We don't pay decent wages, hence we sign nobodies from France and the odd aging name looking for a final pay day.
We deserve everything we get.
-
Pub footballer Joleon Lescott
-
Nice run Adama. If nothing else, you showed the gaffer how much of an almighty fuck up of team selection he's made today.
-
Pub footballer Joleon Lescott
Good player in his day, but sadly we only signed him when he was cheap and over the hill.
Sums the last 6 seasons up.
-
We genuinely are going down, aren't we?
-
Yep. This is it guys... Relegation awaits.
-
Is there a reason Kozak isn't getting a look in? Not exactly like we have a Vardy keeping him out of the team is it
-
We genuinely are going down, aren't we?
Genuinely for real.
-
Is there a reason Kozak isn't getting a look in?
He is getting treatment.
-
We genuinely are going down, aren't we?
It only really struck me yesterday when I caught sight of the table. 6 points between us and 19th place says it all.
-
Adama states his claim on the starting squad.
What did he say?
*stakes claim* for haughty pedantry award 2015 ;-)
-

That's the thing, we are headed not just for a relegation but for a memorable Sunderland or Derby style one
Well done, Randy, what a custodian you have turned out to be.
-
We genuinely are going down, aren't we?
At this point resigning from league would be less embarrassing than playing every week and being beat
I'll say this as well going down like this we will start next season already short of confidence there is no chance we will bounce back
-
Going down will probably enable the team to win some matches again and help the club as whole rediscover its pride. Getting beaten week after week with the odd lucky draw every so often is draining on everybody.
-
Triffick.
-
OK we were rubbish. But what makes me sick is the complete acceptance of the penalty by Sky pundits. Would it have been the same at the other end of the pitch? Dodgy at best. Walcott cuts across Hutton who tries to get him out of the way. Then no-one, but no-one mentions the clear foul on the edge of their penalty area before they break away and score the second goal which was 'a joy to watch ... started with a good tackle' - a clear foul in my book. I hate Sky and everything it stands for.
-
Mentally I'm getting quite used to the thought of relegation. I just wasn't expecting to feel that way in early December.
-
What I do know is with the squad we have got getting out of what I call Division 2 will be no picnic. I doubt it very much that we will succeed at first attempt. Again my opinion only.
