Very, very old thread (http://www.heroesandvillains.info/forumv3/index.php?topic=4511.0)
Might need updating a little...

There's some old favourites (and at least one un-favourite) on the early pages of that

Hello there ac williams, I hear you're a racist now.
Got my reading material for the quiet moments at work tomorrow.

That OneIanTaylor. He was a card. I remember once I posted a Scroobius Pip/Dan le Sac YouTube vid and his reply contained some bollocks like "You're six months behind with this you know."
-
Lots of us in our early 30s back then, who erm, no longer are. :(
Weird to see a post when I was totally sans kids, now we have number 4 due in a couple of months.

Evening All,
I'm Mark - live in Castlefields, Stafford - lived there since 1999 and first came to Stafford when I met Mrs Mark 3 years before that - born and grew up in Great Barr and me and brother are at least 3rd generation Villa supporters (both parents (RIP) and all four grandparents and one Uncle (also RIP) were all active Villa supporters).
Although I've no biological offsprings to pass the tradition, thankfully my brother has 2 sons who have been Holte End season ticket holders for years. My great nephew (from oldest nephew) has a 5 year old who already loves all things Villa, so the future should be in good hands - I'm working on my wife's 3 grandsons (aged 10, 7 and 5) as I'd like to make my own contribution.
Only a casual/television supporter these days - Trinity Road - finally stopped going regularly in 1990s - but did 25 years loyal service and was there on all the big days of the glory years - 2 League Cups, promotion from divisions 3 and 2, Highbury, Rotterdam and Villa Park when a football match threatened to break out amidst Barcelona being at Villa in 1983!
Spend a lot of time at my holiday home in Tywyn mid Wales, which is where I am now - is anybody here in Tywyn at the moment ? There are plenty of Villa tops as I walk around.
Feeling confident about achieving the short term objective - although really felt Tuesday should've been a win to give us some breathing space.
Over to you............................

And to rub it in, he repeated the claim 7 pages later!

A few regulars on there who you dont hear from now. Also a few I thought had lost interest in the site but still have a gander when you look at the 'active' bit.

I don't think I've ever done it before.

His itk about us being taken over by the basketball guy who at the time was being prosecuted for racism was particularly funny

To be fair I don't think TBAR has a reputation for getting their information right.

I want to be a woman. From now on I want you all to call me Loretta !

The most depressing thing about reading that thread is the amount of people who like Kasabian.
I blame them for everything.

That thread reminds me of those footballer interviews you used to see in Shoot or Match magazines. Favourite food... favourite tv programme... who would you most like to meet? etc.

Hello!
I'm Ken Jones, 53 years old and live in the Tamworth area.
I have only been a member of H&V for a little over a week. Never looked at the site until then and think it's a better place to be than the other forum I USED to visit which was Villa Talk. Due to shitty attitudes I don't go there any more.
Been a Villa fan for as long as I can remember, went to Villa Park for the first time during Tommy Docs era. Had a season ticket as a kid in the old Witton Lane stand in line with the 18 yard line, Holte End side.
Stopped going to Villa regular after I moved from Brum (Kingshurst) to Blockley (Cotswolds) in the mid 1980's.
Now back in the area and getting to home games whenever the wife an I can get a wheelchair ticket.
Favourite players over the years have included Andy Lochead, Ian Ross, Chris Nichol, Brian Little, Andy Gray...there are more!
I like it here :)

Steak and chips...Only Fools & Horses...Sam Fox, but don't tell the wife!
I don't know Mrs Jameson but I don't think she'll feel threatened by your desire to met Sam Fox..
-
There is no Mrs Jameson, sadly we are unable to marry due to massive cultural differences, she's from Lancashire.
Just to clarify, I do not not and have never found Samantha Fox in the slightest bit attractive and I've only ever seen a couple of episodes of Only Fools and Horses.
Medium rare though please.

My name's Dave and I've been a fan ever since my uncle Bill invented the club.
I've got a free ticket for the semi final because I'm a bigger fan than you lot.
I've got a plan to save the NHS but It's a secret so I can't tell you what it is. Oh and by the way if you're not rich you can just f**k off.

Cancer and my name is Larry.

And how do you like your women?
Careful, now.
the H&V women's collective ;)

I've been lurking and sometimes posting on h&v since 2001. A lot has changed in the world and with the Villa since then. I wrote a post in 2001 about how it would be great to see the Holte pub refurbished and re-opened. I got to to have a couple of pints in there in 2006 just before the Fulham match and just before I moved to Australia. Thanks for that Randy and erm...everything else! Currently keeping an eye on flights back home for late May, in the hope we sweep aside that Mickey Mouse team from merseyside and book a date at Wembley. Will be first time home since 2012 and only second trip back in 9 years. So... Come on Villa- make it happen!!

Never ever, ever bloody anything ever

I'm TheMalandro and I have supported The Aston Villa since I was a young lad
-
Why do you want to be a Villian? Because of my father, I guess.
Dad was from Aston, lived near Tamworth until 11 and carried it on through the good and bad times, 'cos thats what we do.
In Tiptree now ( via Cambridge) and games are either via the radio or on the telly these days.
Postal is a nickname a co-worker gave me as a pun on my last name Lauder (Postal-Order)
Duncan

Well we get a Chrimbo Card off Auntie Estee but thats about it ;). And "Out of Order" was another variation ???
Tiptree, not bad. And depending on the wind, we can tell what Jam they are making that day.
