What do you think will happen in the following games? Not looking for scores just what the result will be.
Sept. 13 Liverpool (A)
Sept. 20 Arsenal (H)
Sept. 27 Chelsea (A)
Oct. 4 Man. City(H)
Me being the eternal optimist I reckon (in the order above) D.W.L.D.
So 5 points from a possible twelve. Which would put us on 12 points.
-
We were awful last season and got 6 points from this lot and were robbed of 3 at Stamford Bridge.
Ought to be a comfortable 12 points this time around.
-
W D L D
-
I can't see anything other than 12 points as our onslaught towards the title continues.
-
Realistically, a point against Arsenal and nothing in the other 3.
But then I wasn't expecting us to pick up 7 points out of the first 9, so who knows.
-
Realistically one point against arse
But this is villa
3 0
4 0
5 0
3 0
12 points
-
Liverpool entertaining high scoring draw. Balotelli, Sturridge and Sterling for them, Gabby, Bent and Senderos for us.
Arsenal at home has 0-0 written all over it, our better defence v their poor attack etc.
Chelsea look like the best team so far and can score for fun, we might have Benteke back by then, so will say Costa 2-1 Benteke.
Man City are beatable and I think we can win this one, need to follow Stokes example and hit them on the break. 3-2 Villa.
5 points is a realistic target from these games IMO.
-
I'd take 4 right now, all 1-1 draws...

I'd be unhappy with anything less than 10 points, I just think Chelsea might hold us to a draw if we have an off day and they are on top of their game
-
I see it's mushroom season again
-
1 pt
Liverpool 3-0
Arsenal 1-1
Chelsea 2-0
ManCity
-
Well we should lose all four, play well and lose by the odd goal in every game with their world class players making the difference in the key moments. A third game on MOTD type of scenario.
That said this being Villa we could sneak a win somewhere, get dubbed twice and scrape a draw so 4 points for me.
-
Should be aiming for 6 realistically from those. Two wins two defeats. That wouldn't be a bad return.
Anything more than 6 would be excellent.
We will get 9, three wins and a loss.
-
L D L D is my prediction, although Chelsea despite looking good against Everton were pedestrian the week before.
2 points, giving us 9 from 7.
-
We'll get at least 4 points. As it's Villa I have no idea which games they will come from, but nailed on for at least 4.
-
I never get these predictions bang on so i'll go
Liverpool (A) L
Arsenal (H) L
Chelsea (A) L
Man. City(H) L
Hoping for 6 but would be happy with 4.
-
2 draws 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' and Arse
-
2 or 3 points would be a decent haul from that lot.
-
I'd take 4 right now, all 1-1 draws...

Best make it four 0-0s. There's no chance we'll score 4 goals from those 4 games.
-
We always do well at Anfield and I fancy us to not lose against Arsenal. I think we can write off Chelsea and Man City but I'm expecting 4 points from this run. If we're to be a top 10 side we need to win at least one of these.
-
Can't see anything from the Chelsea and city games (though I didn't last year)
We've done well at anfield recently but even a draw would be a surprise
I can't remember the last time we beat arsenal at home. We often do well at the emirates
I wouldn't be too upset with two points. Four would be great. Anything more and we're halfway to being safe already!
-
L L L L
-
The fact that all of those teams will be happy to come and attack us will, ad with last season, actually play to our strengths.
4 to 6 points depending on how much good / bad luck we get.
-
We are Aston Villa, so anything and any combination of results can happen. We won't lose them all and we wont win them all, but apart from saying that I haven't a clue.
-
5 points, D, W, D, L. I thinks that will be a pretty solid return from those games.
-
1 Win
1 Draw
1 Unlucky loss
1 absolute battering
-
I'd happily take 2 points from the next 4 games
-
Can't see us getting much out of these games so I'm really glad we picked up 7 points from our first 3 games. If we could pick up another 3 that would be great but fear we'll just get maybe 1 - draw against the Arse, lose the other 3
-
Not a clue, except there will be some baffling refereeing decisions at critical moments to turn one or more of these matches for or against us.
-
We'll do well to get 2 or 3.
-
Think we are due a defeat at anfield and a win at home against arsenal. Could be in line for a point at chelsea, maybe lose v man city, so i think 4 points but hope for more certainly.
-
To get something from the two home games would be a huge boost, not just to the points tally, but also to the morale of the supporters. I'd take 3 points, in the form of three draws as opposed to one win and three defeats. Just hope we come out the other side with our chins up, injury-free, and ready to get on with beating the sides we should be/need to.
Onwards and upwards.
*fingers and everything else crossed*
-
I think we'll get something at Anfield. Their central defence still looks suspect. A headed goal from a set piece from Senderos I can visualize.
-
I would actually take 3 from the next 5 games if you include Spurs, who seem to have had a voodoo over us for a while now.
-
We haven't lost at Anfield for 3 seasons but we always expected a spanking - we have tiny bit of hope it will be 3-0 as usual I suppose - W
Arsenal - we deserve something against them - D
Chelsea - too big, strong and fast - L
Man City - too big, strong and fast - L
-
After signing a player two and half hours after the transfer window closed anything is possible, 13.5 points.
-
I can't say I fancy us against Chelsea or City, despite what happened last season. I think we could get something at Anfield and hopefully beat Arsenal.
-
L, D, L, L.

W W W W
The Cleverley effect.
-
2-1 Defeat against Liverpool
0-0 Draw against Arsenal
2-0 Defeat to Chelsea
1-0 Win against City
Am actually looking forward to playing Everton the way they have started and we normally do alright at Goodison.
-
LDLD
-
Liverpool to beat us 3-1
Us to beat arsenal 2-1
Us to lose to chelsea 2-0
Draw with city 1-1
I'll be happy with a single point though. Just no embarrassments please.
-
5 points. No idea what permutation though.
-
4 points, a draw and a win obviously but where? Not so obvious.
-
I am certainly not thinking "oh shit" which up until our re birth I was thinking best not turn up and take the penalty from the FA, but now chances are we wont get two points from the games but this lot will dig in and try and as a football fan , thats good enough for me.
Im actually looking forward to 20th September and its some time since ive had that feeling.

Arsenal is the easiest fixture on paper, but we have an okay record away against Liverpool and also a good record against Moaninho. Plus strangely we've performed better against Citeh at Villa Park since they've become top dogs.
All said, I'm hoping for about 4 points from these fixtures.
-
Of the top sides , only chavski appear to have instantly improved.
-
I would be happy with 4 points from these, any more would be good and if I'm honest, not a complete surprise.
Can't say where/how the 4 points will come in, as playing this lot is always a bit unpredictable, but it's often in our favour.
-
0 points but a few battling close losses which will give us some confidence after these 4 games.
