Player of the Season
Young Player of the Season
Most Improved Player of the Season

Difficult, isn't it?
-
Delph
What is the age limit?
Vlaar
-
Up to 21?
-
Has anyone that young played many games for us this season? I'm struggling to think of anyone, so will go fr Jack Grealish for his Notts County performances.

Don't know, unless it's like the PFA one where you're a 'Young Player' until you're about 32 in which case I'll say Delph

Delph
No one
Bacuna
And alternatively
Okore (he has made less mistakes than others)
Okore (I believe he is 21)
Okore (by not playing he is massive in our minds)

Delph, Bacuna, Delph (though he finished last season really well too)
an awful season again

Player of the Season: only two contenders for me - Ron Vlaar and Fabian Delph. I'll go for Delph just because when he's had outstanding games he's usually been man of the match.
Young Player of the Season: Leandro Bacuna
Most Improved Player of the Season: Fabian Delph. I can't think of another contender sadly.
I'd like to hear Lambert's nominations for these awards as he's said before that he thinks we've improved massively since last season.

I thought of Bacuna but he's 23 soon. I always think that's too old for young player awards. Although I expect Giggs to win the PFA young player award this season.

Delph (Vlaar not far off, Guzan in third).
Bacuna. Can't think of anyone else to be honest, he's a shade too old perhaps. I suppose you could count Robinson based largely on his youth exploits and rise to the first team squad.
Delph or Vlaar I suppose.
If we were talking about second half of the season I think Albrighton would be up there for his workrate and willingness.

Player of the Season - Delph - for me he's been a major highlight and is the only player (one of the few english players at all in the Premier League) that has broken from Midfield to offer a threat. A real plus.
Young Player of the Season - Well, that's difficult...the only one young enough in our official first team squad was Okore, but he didn't have much chance to shine. Then there is Steer. I'd echo the call for Bacuna even though he's one year older.
Most improved player - Sorry, going for Delph again. He's been the key for us this season I think. Westy has done well but in terms of improvement, Delph again.
-
PFA Young Player Of The Year has to be 23 or younger at the start of the season.
And as this is presumably what this being based on then Bacuna is the obvious choice.
-
No awards
-
I am surprised nobody has mentioned Guzan for POTY. Though Delph would deserve it for sure
-
Sack the board

Player of the season - Fabian Delph
Young player of the season - Callum Robinson
Most improved player of the season - Marc Albrighton

Vlaar

Player of the Season > Ron Vlaar
Young Player of the Season > Benteke
Most Improved Player of the Season > Delph

Delph
He's young enough isn't he?
-
There are more candidates for worst player of the season....
-
Delph for me. I think Clark improved a lot from last season as well and despite his injuries, Benteke still managed to weigh in with 10 goals which wasn't bad going.
-
Okre - done nothing wrong...
-
A season of complete unmitigated disaster:
Player of Season Charles N'Zogbia
Young Player of season - Gary Gardner
Most Improved - Alan Hutton
-
I'd be embarrassed to pick up an award if I was one of our players from this season. I think we should retire the awards for this season anyway.
-
Fuck the awards; send in OFSTED and put them on Special Measures.
-
This years awards bash should be cancelled and declared a 'roll over' for next season.
-
Fuck the awards; send in OFSTED and put them on Special Measures.
or send in the ARMY and put them on Special Maneuvers on how to pass to each other without resorting to howitzer tactics.
-
Delph
Bacuna
Delph
Honourable mention for Guzan who is the only challenger to Delph for player of the season for me.
-
The only player who should even be considered for POTY is Delph. He's had a great season, I can't say that about anyone else in our squad.
-
Delph (despite having a poor end to the season)
Bacuna (if he makes it)
Delph
-
Bowery for all of them, obviously.
-
Delph. Most consistent player, some great goals and a dangerous midfielder
Bacuna. Great goals, exciting surging runs. Brain would tend to switch off when he got tired but good player in there
Albrighton. From a player that I had great hopes for to a constant frustration of poor final balls either over hit or not getting past first man to being back to his best towards the end of this season.
Thought Vlaar and Guzan were consistent in an ever changing back five, cant fault their commitment. Gabby has work hard at being a leader
-
Player of the Season - Delph
Young Player of the Season - Bacuna
Most Improved Player of the Season - Albrighton or KEA for me.
-
What Bad English really meant to say was: fuck OFSTED!
-
I was thinking, wouldn't it be a good idea to arrive at these by using aggregated scores from sports journalists over the season, from every game.
Then I just thought, buggrit, here we go.
Best Guzan
Youth. Delph
Most improved. Westwood.
-
Edit
-
Because there are performances and achievements worth celebrating in the context of a difficult season. It's not been unmitigated disaster.
-
Delph
Bacuna
Delph
Delph's 24, which probably makes him a bit too old for the young player award. Didn't realise Albrighton was 24 as well.
-
Delph Delph Delph
Sounds like a punk album.
-
Vlaar
Bacuna
Delph
-
Vlaar - More consistent than Delph and our only good centre-back this season.
Bacuna - Robinson and Donacien haven't done much for the first team yet.
Albrighton - Almost back to his initial form at the club, wonder if he'll get a new contract?
-
Actually, Albrighton for most improved player isn't a bad shout. Forgot about him.
-
Edit
Edit was on loan for most of the season.

Yep, he was never really given a fair shot at Left Back
-
Darren Woolley deserves them all imo.

Using the whoscored stats the fairest answers are:
Delph
Benteke
Albrighton
Seems pretty fair to me, technically Benteke should win both but with him missing so much of the season I gave it to Delph.
As for the idea of cancelling awards, etc that's just a way to piss off the players who've played well, and there have been a few of them.
