Yes, I know it should be despond but that doesn't work.

There is nothing positive about the club I can think of at the moment. In fact its come to the point where I cannot watch us on the tele without either cringeing or occasionally laughing out loud at the mess we have become. Lets get this season over and start afresh with hopefully new owners,a new manager, and an improved standard of player.

I was trying to think of the last game that was as important as the Hull game. Small Heath that Easter under DOL? Sunderland under SGT? Norwich in '95? I know we have another two chances after Hull but none of us really see those as chances do we?

Yeah. Swansea stepping up a gear is true - they didn't look in trouble one bit in the second half.

The reason Lambert's project is so secretive is that no one at the club is going to come out and actually say "We're not interested in spending money."

I reckon we will get 2 more points by the end if the season (against Hull and Spuds). It should be enough to keep us safe.

If Bunyan wrote The Pilgrim's Progress now he wouldn't have had to reach for no high-falutin' phrase like 'Slough of Despond' - he'd have just called it 'Villa Park'. What a shambles we are right now.

Sadly we've been a shambles for a few years now and progressively getting worse.

It's a total mess at the moment. Lambert should have gone months ago really, but for absolute definite, after the whole Culverhouse/Karsa mess, Lambert should have been turfed out with them. It's his team, it's his watch. There's just a feeling that he's a dead man walking, so we should have just bitten the bullet and turfed him out. We couldn't do any worse without him.

It's worrying that the players seem to have lost interest. As you wrote, beaten before they even start. You compare this with the energy of the Palace and Swansea players.

This has to rest largely on Lambert. It's a complete dogs dinner at the moment. The whole club looks a mess from top to bottom.
