Title: Charity game Sunday 4th @ 2:30 Alvechurch FC V Villa Lions and Legends.

Fellow Villains,

On Sunday afternoon At Alvechurch FC you can treat yourself to a trip down memory lane and indulge in a footballing extravaganza.

Along with a number of my mates I will be assuming the role of cannon fodder whilst some of the old favourites hand out a football lesson.

Committed so far are;

Spink, McNaught, Bremner, Morley, Shaw, Heard, Blair, Hendrie and Curuthers.

It is in aid of cancer research. £3 for adults and kids are free. There are activities for the kids and a Pig roast and a bar for the adults.

Come along, it's going to be a cricket score!

Sam

Good luck for tomorrow mate.  Make sure you stay away from the pig roast until after the game!

We (it feels strange saying that when playing against ....us) lost 4-2.

We were 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go but we changed formation at half time which allowed it to be an open game, predictably their strikers took their chances, ours didn't.

Tommy Mooney and Martin Curuthers played up front and are both still fit and caused problems all day. Mooney scored a late hat trick including a couple of brilliant finishes.

300 adults there in horrendous weather so plenty of money raised.

Tony Morley stood out from the old boys, skinned a few and made it look easy.

Sam,

One of my best mates, Sully, played. He's claiming to have lashed a volley past Spink, "too hot to handle" apparently.

Can you confirm he's telling the truth or (hopefully) that he's a lying b@stard...?

And well done to the crowd that turned out.
