A quick pre-season review of events.

It was a great turn around wasnt it? I dont like to be paranoid when it comes to the national (London) press but I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder about the Benteke coverage, it seemed they were willing him to leave us.
I have been rewatching some of our end of season games the past few days, inevitably commentators were banging on about him leaving even then ,oh and of course drooling over the possibility of us getting relegated at Wigan.
errr, I dont have anything productive to say

Great article, Dave!

Who did write “it’s difficult to see him remaining with so much ill-feeling on both sides” ?
-
Especially the clown who wrote two weeks ago that “it’s difficult to see him remaining with so much ill-feeling on both sides.” Do yourself a favour and never trust a world he says again, ever.
A view shared by many, though it did run counter the advice he gave (in GM) at the very start of the summer, which proved to be true ;) (http://www.thebirminghampress.com/2013/07/22/an-act-of-christian-charity/)

A good read. The press could'nt wait to sell him as soon as the whistle blew at the end of the season. I'm still waiting for this swap deal with Defoe.

Nice one Dave.
Some interesting comments about Luton's warm-hearted, all-embracing, welcoming approach for Tuesday's game.
(Still going though!)

Just one thing, I don't know of any ground where there are trains running from the train station to the ground. Buses maybe, but no trains.
Luton are still twats though.

Who is the clown, Darren Lewis or poor Eastie?

An example of DW's self deprecatory post modern irony, surely.

Good read dave. There is a typo tho if you can edit it still. Keep it up

Yeah, seems obvious now. Not like DW to be so hard on himself ;D

You are not wrong, eamonn.
There's no flies on him, and if there were, they'd be paying rent, as the quare fella used to say.

Cheers Dave, good article.
So impressed with how Villa have dealt with this issue. Quietly and confidentally, no leaks for press to pick up on, hence London media stirring and making insane articles and reports.
I believe Tekkers will only be with us for one more season, but whoever wants to buy this guy, knows they are not in for an easy ride, we are no push overs.
It has also sent out a message to all our players, tow the line and your career can be what you want it to be, don't at your own peril... Well done Villa.

also, and I'm probably wrong, maybe its just because its a friendly, and on a Tuesday night, that Luton really haven't thrown much resources at it. Could have underestimated the amount of Villa fans that are likely to travel.

Dave's article does say buses.
