Good hopefully they kick on now.
-
Great stuff. Lose 3 EIRE seniors (Done,Given,Oireland) and keep these ones instead.
Phil Lynott: "Do you have any Irish in ya? Do you want some?"
-
Good news all around. Hopefully some clever loan moves will benefit everyone.

Born in West Brom though... lets hope thats not an omen about where their futures lie.
-
That's more good news.

Surprised a bit at Carruthers, word was that he was unsettled and wanted away.
His few cameo appearances coming off the bench at the tail end of McLeish's reign of terror were one of the few bright spots in that arse of a season. Hopefully he features a bit more in the upcoming campaign.

My thoughts too. Perhaps Lambert is happier now with how our central midfield is and will be looking to add a bit of width to the game when needed.
-
Very happy to sign up 3 of the European Champions.
-
Didn't Carruthers get in a bit of training ground bother early last season? Maybe Mr L told him to keep his head down, train hard and show he's got the ability, a new contract may be the reward. Fuck, I might go and stick that on Twitter "Lambert rewards Samir for Euro glory!". That's a goer.
-
Samir must be rated. I guess he's knuckled down and got himself back in contention. I'd like to see more of him.
-
As I recall it was for something minor like his mobile going off during a squad meeting.
-
Lambert had banned mobile phones from the training ground. Not entirely trivial, getting on the new manager's tits.

Who would do something like that to hinder a young creative midfielders players career? Who would even know to call the phone at that very moment? I guess we will never know.

Teaching a young footballer discipline and the importance of listening is not going to hinder his career.

Just been catching up with the AVTV videos around these three. Burkee doesn't seem to have a lot between the ears, Drennan a bit of a rabbit in headlights, but Carruthers oozes self confidence. Real touch of the Beckhams about him. When asked who he aspires to be he says no one, wants to be Carruthers. Can see why he was captain in next gen. Not seen enough to know if he has the ability but he sure has the attitude

When he got the ball against Luton he looked good, but he spent too much of his time missing. I admire his arrogance to a point but he probably has to work harder, or he may fall by the wayside like Bannan. He's undoubtedly got ability though.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Grealish and Robinson too it must be said. Both look very promising. Johnson impresses me too. Reminds me a lot of Anderson. Okay, Andersons not fantastic, but he's a good player.
