Post by: PeterWithesShin on May 17, 2013, 12:27:08 PM
Did anyone else get one in the post today?

Just found the note in there as well, apparently I am one of "our young season ticket holders", erm, young!? Still, it's a nice personalised poster but I do wonder how someone with an adult ST gets sent this stuff.

My son got one. Big double sided personalised poster. He had the one from last year framed showing Trinity Road and the statue with his name in place of the Aston Villa. A thankyou for your support letter too. Nice touch from the club again. These things mean a lot to an eleven year old who is Villa mad.

Can I have it for Fred, please? He is a signed-up and paid-for member and never receives things. I doubt if I'll be paying for a renewal next season.

Normally I would Leeg, but it has my name on both sides of the poster. I'm assuming the poster was only sent out to young ST holders rather than JV members.

To be honest, whilst it's nice of the club to keep sending stuff out in the post to me and the lad, I'd rather recieve the information by email and have none of these little gifts. It costs nothing to send an email and then they might be able to reduce the cost of the season ticket to make it more affordable.

I really want Villa to be the first English club to take the stance of the Bundesliga Clubs. Bollocks to what the rest of the greed league do, i'd rather the ground be full with 40,000 people every week with folk paying £15 a ticket or £200 for a season ticket. If it meant we didn't buy as good a quality player then so be it. I'm sick of seeing my hard earned money go in the pockets of overpaid wasters like Warnock, Dunne, Ireland etc. If it means we buy more of the Ashley Westwoods and Matt Lowtons of this world then so be it.

Being a saddo, I really like the poster so it's going nowhere! I got a card as well today.

I've received a card too thanking me for my support.  I shall put it on the mantle piece along with all of the wife's birthday cards so that when her Bluenosed family call tomorrow it will be there for them to peruse over.

I've got a poster of a woman on a tennis court scratching her arse.

I blame Jimmy Savile.
