Sorted.

15.00 Aston Villa Old Stars vs. Bulgaria Legends X1 -including members of the 1994 World Cup semi-finalists & Prime Minister
Was probably correct when it was written, but should now read former Prime Minister.
-
You should have put ** against squad number 13 and let people fill in the rest !

Why Steve Hodge is on the list ? Just asking who idea to ask him :)

He's giving up four days of his time for a charity event so however loathsome he is, you can't knock him for it.

Credit where due Michael, its for a good cause .

Indeed, you can't knock him for giving up his time for a 4 day, free golf holiday. Little does he know though, the 'nearest to the pin' competition is being replaced by a 'nearest to the judas' competition. I'm sure he won't mind, its for charity. Everything is ok, cos its for charity.
-
So what did he do to be hated, is this because he want to leave the club without trying. (Like Dwight Yorke) and credit to him for doing his bit for charity.

Were you at the Norwich home game back in 1986 Michael? The vitriol shown towards him that day was something not to be forgot , especially when he gave that goal away with a back pass.
-
As much as it goes against the grain to credit Hodge, not only is he doing this for a good cause but I would guess that along with David James he would be the biggest name to fans in Bulgaria. Although if it is a team event he may well want to swap teams at some point on the trip.

No as I was in boarding school.

I'd say they'd have never heard of him. Why do you think he would be well known?
-
Maybe we should wait to see if Hodge actually turns up for the event first.

At least Yorke had the minerals to go to Gregory and say he wanted to leave - and we got 12M for him. H*d*e and his agent colluded to let it be known in the press that he was unhappy. Also to not chase a sloppy backpass and let in the opposition was unforgiveable. Yes Yorke may have not tried in his last game. H*d*e was almost stauesque every time the ball came to him.
Then to top it all, he was the player that chased cheating handball twatbag Maradonna to swap shirt at the end of that match. Not just shake hands, he chased him to ensure he got his shirt! The man knows no levels!
Hey, but like the Murphy's...
-
It would be worth 695 just to wrap a golf bat around Hodges head.

I was basing that on Hodge and James both having a decent number of England caps and both having played in a couple of tournaments. That would be the way I am aware of a lot of foreign players.

I'd be surprised if they knew any of them if I'm honest. It's just a shame none of the champions/euro champs team are involved.
As for Hodge, I couldn't care less that its for charity. He shouldn't be anywhere near a Villa shirt again.

Indeed, charities need all the goodwill they can get, this is like having Gary Glitter performing on Children in Need.
