Title: Is it better?
Post by: chippy on March 16, 2013, 06:51:56 PM
Is it now better for us to go 1-0 down and then come back into the game with the momentum turning out way?

We went 1-0 down to both Reading and QPR and came back to win...
As opposed to leading against; United 2-0, Swansea 1-2, West Brom 0-2, Everton 1-3 etc?

I think the important fact is whatever the score is you don't stop trying to win.

nope, we've come back from a goal down against the bottom two teams, we wont do it against better opposition

No, i`d much rather we were 4-0 up at half time and could relax, i am seriously thinking of suing the club for ill treatment because all this shitting-myself for the last 10 minutes is giving me a Heart condition. :)

Valid point but you should really stop being so hard on yourself.

I think we're more than capable of scoring goals against anyone, it's stopping them going in at the other end where we have problems. We've shown an appetite for a scrap of late and aren't rolling over  so if we were to go behind against Utd or Chelsea then the players have to continue to back themselves

The brilliant support at Reading and QPR played a major part in the two come backs.

Not since our season "started" at half-time against Newcastle at the end of Jan.

That is why it is imperative that we now give it the full" Bamber" : "I've  started so I'll finish".

Its best to score the first after 3 minutes. 2nd after about 10 minutes and then third on 22. 4th and 5th by half time. if we haven't conceded by the 60 th minute we're looking okay for a point. Still 0 by the 70th minute and I'll be thinking about the 3 points. Obviously we'll concede so when we do we want as little time as possible for the opposition to get back at us. We won't do break away goals as we'll be defending on or around the goal line. Then when it goes 5-2 in the 3rd minute of 5 in injury time I'll start to relax (ish).
