Sadly accurate.
-
Yup
-
Can't argue with any of that. Sums up what most of us are feeling, I imagine.

A good read as always. Dave was the "Tell me why?"title influenced by the song from the Beatles? Neil Young? Justin Bieber? The Backstreet Boys? Or warnings of the advancement of the New World Order? http://tellmewhy.co.uk/ Either way you've inadvertently managed to temporarily lift my bout of Villa gloom searching for Tell Me Why song titles (as I originally had some wonky 80's synth pop song in my head).

The Specials.

Good read.
I want sausages.

That's the thing that gets me most about all this - it IS easily fixed. I can't remember who it was, but some ex-manager once commented that it's much easier to shore a side up and stop them leaking goals than it is to get them flowing going forward and scoring goals. We seem to be the exception to that rule.

Ah "Why?"what superb song. I saw the Specials in Coventry about 5 years ago it was one of the best live concerts I've ever seen (it would have been just about perfect if Jerry Dammers had been there)

Thanks :-) Yeah it was Jimmy Sommerville (Bronski Beat) - Smalltown Boy. Just watched the video (about homophobia) which was pretty good looking back at it . I also watched a video by Supermode (that I'd never heard of before) that samples it - Talk about polar opposites - Jeez!

The only thing I'd disagree with is that we didn't look like getting an equaliser against Newcastle. I thought that we looked destined for at least an equaliser and certainly deserved one, if not a winner too.
But otherwise spot on. We got January horribly wrong. Let's hope we live to regret it.
It's galling that a team like Stoke, who are utterly turgid, are not fighting for their life when we are. And all for the want of a quality (not neccessarily expensive) defender and midfielder.

Good read.
I want sausages.
Brown or red sauce, that is the question
-
Completely agree, and I hope that horrendous mistake doesn't cost us for years to come.
-
Tell me why ...............I don't like Mondays???

I thought our play merited an equalizer against Newcastle and we certainly looked capable of getting one in the early part of the second half but, I still got the feeling that it was not going to be our night. Again!

Red is the answer. I don't know if it is an age thing but anyone i know who prefers brown is at least 35, I'm really not a fan.

Never a truer word wrote.

'Tell me why...'
All I can think of is that PL reckons the team and especially the midfield/defence will come good. He must be seeing things at BH that give him cause for optimism. Everton was better. Just hope he doesn't run out of games.
Possibly why he didn't buy somebody else as well.

Good well written article - if there is one line that encapsulates Villa's problems at the moment it is this one...
"The hard things seem to be easy and the straightforward ones almost impossible."
Surely it will turn - we can do the simple and right things when going forward - now can we do the same when we are running backwards.
I live in hope.
