Post by: fredm on September 03, 2012, 04:00:30 PM
Anyone know who has been selected for international duty this week thus missing the training/bonding sessions at BH?

I know Guzan is off to the states and Wiemann is off to Austria for U21's.

Vlaar has tweeted from Holland

I don't think Vlaar started for Holland against Belgium the other day, which is obviously good news for us.

Well we're completely screwed if Hutton comes back injured...

So that leaves a good few having a little break:

Gabby, Bent, Ireland, Bennett, Lowton, Lichaj, Clark, Baker, Westwood, Bowery, Given, Delph, Bannan, plus more recovery time for Dunne and Albrighton. For once the break could be a good thing for us.

I wonder how Brad Jr will be once he comes back after all that flying?

I'd love to be there when he claims his baggage. Bursting through a crowd of old biddies at the carousel.

How desperate are Scotland for a right back that Hutton (who hasn't had a proper pre-season) still gets called up?

No Bannan though, so they must be well off for midfielders. I know he hasn't been great, but he's playing in the Premier league and this is Scotland we're talking about.

How can they drop the Scottish Xavi/Ineista..............

You've seen him in the reserves then? That's exactly who he plays like.

Won't they be training as normal ?

If Hutton is with Scotland, how the hell can he be loaned to a Russian club like David Bentley?! Championship loans, maybe?

They will but that can only be a good thing.

Yeah, I just meant a break from playing, and there being enough of them to work on some understanding of each other's game, and team-play. I suppose they might get a bit of time off as well though.
