Thanks mate but im sure i saw some older ones on here a while ago, one wearing his policeman hat ?
-
I must say I thought there were more pics when I sent you the link, so you're probably right about another thread around somewhere
-
Wolfie appeared on telly once when Nottingham Forest played Spurs in the FA Cup Final - he was shown listening to a radio outside Wembley with some Forest fans who didn't have tickets.
I think he may be Zelig.
-
I'm almost positive I saw Wolfie at West Ham on Saturday.......fumbled about with the camera on my phone and he had gone......that's the enigma that is Wolfie
-
He was definitely there. Sat towards the corner flag in the front two rows, wearing an anorak in that heat.
-
100 % at Forest a few weeks ago,but saw him and then he vanished into thin air
-
Saw him on Saturday, but without Mrs Wolfie.
-
Its good to see they're have been sightings of him. However, I just hope I never sit next to him at an away in the future months.
-
He must have either come into inheritance or have a job as he's at most games which we know would cost a few bob
-
Saw the Werewolf family in the main car park today. Mrs Wolf was all excited at seeing Hercules. The Werewolf just grunted and they closed in on the lion.
-
Hi.
-
Hi.
Hi, any chance of a few pics ? just to put on my front door to keep the burglars away like
-
Heres an old one of Wolfie at VP against Ipswich, I think it might be the game when Deano scored that cracking goal.
Grace Jones just makes it into the bottom of the picture, she was a class full back for us.

The other guy in the picture looks like the guy standing by wolfie in the Terry Weir photo at the sty.
-
Isn't that his late Dad, used to sell programmes at home games?
Either that or Mickey Dolenz is a Villa fan.

That's him. He used to sell the Mercury in town on Saturday nights as well.

There is a picture of the two of them in the Tilton in The Weir and The Wonderful.
His Dad was one of those 'faces' that was always around the Villa.
-
Mr and Mrs Wolf were seen walking down Witton lane on saturday
-
Forgive me but what is the obsession with this man? Why do people take such an interest?
It appears to be rather unkind to be honest but perhaps I'm missing something.
-
If you went home of away with the villa during the mid 80's and early 90's you would always see Wolfie at villa games - so much so that he became an unofficial mascot for the supporters at that time.
His father was a programme seller at the club for years and they went everywhere together
-
Does he know everyone calls him wolfie?
-
is Tarzan still around too?
-
Does he know everyone calls him wolfie?
Seeing as he regularly wore a werewolf mask and had a jacket with "I'm a Villa werewolf" on the back, yes he does!

Haha, well in that case I'll shut up!
-
Does he know everyone calls him wolfie?
In the early 90s he used to wear a sleeveless denim jacket with " We Have a Villa Werewolf" written on the back.
Last time I saw him was at Wembley when we lost to Man United a few years back
-
He was at the match tonight. I saw him chatting to someone on the stairs in M5.
I was so starstruck, I didn't get a photo.
He'd have been easily spotted even if there hadn't only been about 12 other people in M5 tonight.
-
I remember being at Loftus Road, in the away end behind the goal, and Wolfie being spotted at the front in one of the stands along the side, in with the home fans.
We spent most of the second half chanting at him, telling him what to pull out of his bag next.
Seaman was in goal for QPR, so I'd say this was late 80s.
-
is Tarzan still around too?
My god i remember him - alway in the Holte and he was really good at it - never got to know who it actually was though

I was there also - bloody hell its amazing how you recall things like this

Werewolf spotted! One row in front of us at St Mary's.

Wolfie, Wolfie give us a wave
Get the chant going...

bloody hell that is wierd, totally forgot that.

Any one know Pete the dog, Dobbert or Jinxy

Yes, spotted him too sat on the coach waiting to leave after the game as I walked by. I actually chanted 'Wolfie' at him, couldn't help it!

Some unsuspecting motorway services are about to have him on their hands.

Was tempted but he seemed to vanish at 0-1. I'm blaming him for the score!

Wolfie spotted yesterday at Wigan

I know this was posted last September but I knew Dobbert and Jinxsy. Both from the Stratford area. Not seen either of them for years now though.

Wondering why Petrov and his twin are standing in front of him and thinking "Surely he is taller then that".
-
Should have wore his Petrov mask.
-
Cheering myself up watching some old videos, spotted Wolfie at 2 mins 30 secs into this video. On the front row raising his drink to celebrate Taylor's volley.
-
I see him walking down Witton Lane most home games.
-
And he just walked past.
-
Happy christmas and new year guys, had to put something on this thread,Wolfie used to come away with us on away games a lot of times, last time I seen him funny enough was Blackburn who we have tomorrow,he had a fake policeman helmet on,a fake police truncheon a pair of handcuffs and a rubber chicken.......he was bang on for entertainment purposes...
-
And he just walked past.
And As if by magic the wolfie appeared.
-
Everyone has a Wolfe story or two. Just remembered the blow up shark at Grimsby FA Cup 3rd Rd. Taunting the Grimsby stewards without down the front against the fence.
-
He was always at Selhurst Park, The Den, Plough Lane or The Valley even for midweek away games, when I lived in Sarf Lunnun and used to go to see Villa play Palace, Wimbledon, Charlton or sometimes Millwall in the 90s. Always good to see him & the other diehard fans on their long round trips from Brum.

I saw him at Selhurst once. He was just wandering aimlessly around not really watching the game.
-
Wolfie was at the Southampton game the other week. He was in the row in front of us nattering to someone. A few minutes before kick off he left and we didn't see him again.

I made about a quid picking up all the shrapnel the cod heads were lobbing at us.

Had to get to the changing room to give the pre-match talk.

The Werewolf is at Sunderland.

The Werewolf is at Sunderland.
Lets stick him at left back.

I feel a bit sorry for him. It seems that he has to have a carer now. He had got some pictures in his bag of old Villa players but doesn't seem to have the carefree thing about him that he had years ago. I imagine the bloke must be approaching his fifties now. I didn't think it right to take a photo of him, after all, he is not a circus exhibit but another human being.
-

I'm not aware of Wolfie he must have passed me by, although by what has been written here I don't know how and he does look familiar but to be honest what DC5 has just posted has always been my take on it.
Just saying.

It would be hypocritical of me to say that I have never made fun of him but, looking at him now, he is just a bloke getting older like the rest of us.
-
I don't think many people make fun of him. Pretty much every story about him always comes across as a fond memory or a quite affectionate "i've seen Wolfie".

Spot on Dave, I think we all have fond memories of him, he's one of us at the end of the day and his passion and commitment following the club is second to none.
-
I said to him 'what have you got in your bag?' and he got out a picture of Stilyan Petrov, some others and one of David Platt. 'Remember him?' he said, referring to Platt. It's good to know that he can recount those days.
-

It's the laughing at him rather than with him that I find uncomfortable. It's all a bit like a freak show exhibit.
-
I've sat by him on a couple of away days on the official coaches in the mid 90's - the infamous Palace 4-1 away springs to mind. We were as sad as each other remembering bygone days of not just Villa but stuff local to Walsall where he must have been living at the time. I know he did the odd Walsall match now & again.

That's why I suggested it was a little bit too much, certainly posting photos of him would be.

He did the grand tour of the Midland clubs, I spotted him at Moor Green once.
-
I never saw it as a freak show thing - posting photos. But celebrating one of our more eccentric fans who gives us a smile. I'd wager that he'd revel in his celebratory status. With us or the Noses. If there is anyone here poking fun at him I've yet to see it. Similarly Tarzan has been feted and if there were a photo of him it would be as welcomed as those of our Wolfie.
Finally, and more tricky to say, if he does have a career and finds things more difficult than most of us let's say, it could be that football, Villa, the Noses, and the effect that he has on us is maybe something that makes his day/week worthwhile.
-
Not worthwhile but you get my drift.
-
When Central News did a programme about Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup against Spurs in 1991, the camera panned to see some ticketless fans outside Wembley listening to the match.
Wolfie was the one holding the radio.
-
I realise that I mentioned this on page one of this thread. I think I may have early onset Alzheimers.
Or maybe I shouldn't have finished that Port last night.
-
I remember another character who followed Villa away in the early 80s called The Cockney. Anyone remember him?
-
No Dick I cant remember him. But I do remember that young black kid in the third division days who would invade the away pitch's and delight in evading the stewards with consummate ease.
I used to have a pictue of him doing it. Lost in the realms of time Im afraid!
-
I had the pleasure of seeing Wolfie in the Villa shop on Wednesday evening- he looked well though I cannot even guess at how old he is now. I was pleased as it was the first time I had seen him in the flesh since Chelsea away, many many years ago, we won, Ray Houghton scoring the only goal.
-
I saw him at Anfield a couple of weeks ago, he looked quite well.
-
He was there with his carer on Wednesday. He's at all the home games again now.

They were at Everton as well
-
This thread is like some kind of freak show. Lock it and leave the bloke alone for crying out loud.
-
I think taking photo's of him and posting them is going a bit too far but I don't really see the harm of people posting harmless anecdotes about him.
-

I'd say it's fairly obvious he has some kind of learning difficulties and it's clear he's not around to defend himself or at least confirm he's either pro or against this thread, so why not just close it and leave him alone. It just isn't nice and it's an uncomfortable read.
This is my last post on this thread as well. I've said my piece.

I agree with you. He always seemed to enjoy the attention but I've never been certain whether it was right to encourage it. I hope this doesn't sound patronising but some people do need protecting from themselves.
-
Happy to report Wolfie looking well in the club shop earlier today, on his own so no carer with him. He was looking at the Wembley T-Shirts, hope he gets a ticket.
-
I was stood behind him when getting my Semi Final tickets with my son at The QPR game. I told my son about his near legendary status in the 80/90s and at first he didn't believe me. That was until lots of others who were waiting also noticed and said hello to Wolfie.
-
His seat was next to mine at Man City yesterday; on his own and seemed fine.
-
Saw him at Wembley for the SF, looked well and full of beans.
-
Legend.
