Is back, back, back next season.
http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2818281,00.html
A gesture that adds to the feelgood factor for me.
-
Glad I renewed, Even the screen is glad to see the back of TSM
-
welcome back old friend..
-
There was that little highlights last season that you'd hardly know it was missing!
-
About time!
-
Wonder if that will entice Barry, Milner, Downing and Young back, back, back next season?
-
Pandering to the smerkers as well I see. Disagraceful.
-
I thought that replacing TSM with Sir lambert was good, but that pales into insignificance to this excellent piece of news. Hurrah!!
-
Ist post.............so glad its back..........sitting in the trinity family stand i have had bad neck all last season.............defo Bright Future !
-

Mate if it stops them having crafty ones in the bogs then i am all for it
-
It's strange really, but it's yet another thing that the club have done to bring the feel good factor back. Even the smoking area - it's something they're doing for the fans.
I say fair play to them.
-
Great news!
Hold onto your seats!
-
I'm glad it's back.
-
Hoorah!
-
Typical, just moved from upper trinity by Holte End to P8, so a bit late for me!
-
I'd love to know the real reason it was taken out in the first place.
-

I used to smoke quite heavily and never felt the need to go into the bogs at half time like schoolboys. Is another 45 minutes really too long to wait?
Glad the screen is back, it's a much better sight than that massive Tesco sign!
-

I'm sure Tesco paid them to do it...
-
Good news, but I assume this means no North Stand development in the short term?
-
Great news will have to get used to looking left again, originally When it was first removed after every incident I kept looking for it!

I smoke and your right it's not.
-
Smoking thing doesn't bother me. It's isolated and if it improves relations between supporters and the club then it's worth it. If you sit in the upper Holte and aren't a smoker I bet it'll make it easier to get served etc.
I imagine it'd please more people than it'd annoy, so it's probably the right decision.
I always wondered why the subs were warming up towards the North Stand for the past year or two, did Houllier switch the dug outs then? I can't say I noticed that, but I did wonder why they changed it.
-
Where's this smoking land you all talk about?
-
Perhaps the General will return now he won't have to answer questions on TSM or the video screen.
-
I note from that article that Villa are embarking "on a vibrant new era". Is this a lowering or raising of expectations compared with our previous "bright future"
-
Good news, but I assume this means no North Stand development in the short term?
We don't sell out on a regular basis, theres no need to change anything
-
I'd often look out to see how Ashways was doing customer wise during last season, gutted its back, Lerner out!
-
About time.
-
Great news on the screen.
The smoking area is a nice touch too, but seeing as you cant smoke AND drink then I'll just wait an hour...a half time pint is much better than a half time smoke.

We don't, but it's obviously a long-term plan. We were near enough to capacity a couple of years ago for them to take it down in the first place so it seems strange to me that after a couple of years of declining attendances (mostly due to a horrible appointment) they'd shelve the plans.
-

Two years ago with regular sell-outs it made sense but attendances have been well down since then so I'm sure development has been put back.
-
Lightening the mood, has everyone seen the view from the top left of Wolves' new stand?
-
At least it blocks their performance on the pitch.
-
That's dreadful.... Those seats should be quarter price.
-
Hang on half of L1 in the Holte is like that.
-
Nice one!
-
I suspect that picture at Wolves has been taken by someone standing at the back, that won't be the view when seated. Having said that, at the old Baseball Ground and at Bloomfield Road I've been in a seat where the only way to avoid the roof and see the pitch was to stand by your seat and crouch down as low as possible.
-
Nope, that is the view. It's where it will link up with the new stand, if it ever gets built...
Loftus Road - away seats, upper tier, you couldn't see the goal line. Design classic.
-
Disappointed to read in that article that the club has decided to make the "smoking deck" permanent.
The club should not be encouraging smoking in any way.
-
I don't think that you can say the club is encouraging smoking. They aren't selling tobacco products .
It's something a sizeable number of fans have asked for and it's no different to pubs having smoking areas. And as someone has already said if it stops people nipping to the bogs for a crafty one then fair play to the club.
I'm a smoker but I'm in the Lower Holte so this move wont affect me, also I can manage to go a couple of hours without a ciggie but I know some people can't.
-
I'm hoping that the Reefer Room and Crack Corner are also in the pipeline.
-
From P8 it should be a great view of the screen
A bit like sitting smack in front of the 40" plasma at home

Exactly. If I want to watch the Villa on the telly I'll stay at home or go down the pub.
*Puts on running shoes, hat and coat*
-
I don't see any problem with screen at VP. From T3 everything is fine.
-
Where I sit in the Trinity I have a perfectly good view of the other screen anyway. I object to the club using the revenue from my season ticket renewal to provide television for that lot behind the goal.
-
I'm hoping that the Reefer Room and Crack Corner are also in the pipeline.
They are in my shed !!
-
I'm so very very pleased that it's back.
I sit in Lower Trinity and it was more or less impossible to see the other screen through all the heads.
-

I remember at the old wembley when Savo scored I was right at the back of the stand .I stood up just before he shot. All I could see was some corrugated iron sheets in front of me ( I am quite tall). The whole end goes apeshit I fall over and get stuck between two rows of seats on the floor.I realised he must of scored, but didn't see any of it.I had had a bit to drink and couldn't get up on my own, seemed like ages before the Villa fans around me knew I needed a lift up. Still better than the new Wembley though.
-
They should have had it last season , at least they good have put a good film on instead of the dross the fans had to watch .
