Bannan is the only one I can't recall being injuried ..are we just very unlucky or is something wrong with the training ?
-
Jenas
-
Yes, and Bannan is clearly injured in the head... which is why he was convicted of drink driving.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if we found out Darren Anderton was working as one of the fitness coaches.
-
True if u include the fact that bannan has had off the field problems it's hard to say eck hasn't had wretched luck. Granted he hasn't helped himself but still....
-
Does anyone want to offer a reason for this? I'm getting really annoyed at why we constantly have a barrage of injuries.
First person who can manage to blame Paul Faulkner gets a shiny penny.
-
Jenas ..how could I forget
Makoun was also injured away on loan
-
Guzan hasn't. Unless he has splinters on his arse.

It's Faulkener's fault!Where is my shiny penny?
-
I think injuries have certainly played a part in our plight and losing Bent when we did was a major blow but I firmly believe the reason we are where we are is more down to the majority of those named above playing shit when they are fit...

its clearly his fault as he employed the man who employed the man who employed the fitness coach lol

Whenever you get lots of injuries, particularly if they are muscle and tendon (which seem to be the majority of our issues), you have to question the quality of the warm up and warm down techniques used.
On top of that you have to query the level of fitness training completed in the summer.
We all know summer fitness work was a serious weakness under MoN (hence the shit March every season) and that caused Houllier a lot of issues last season, he tried to push the fitness levels up during the season which caused massive injury issues in October and November.
Can't really see any reason for it this season though, McLeish was in before pre-season so he should have been in full control of the fitness training.
-
Blame it on squad size? I guess you could blame Faulkner for not allowing McLeish to spazz more cash on players. The reason why Man Yoo and City never seem to get key injuries is that they can rotate effectively.

But we literally never rotated the squad under O'Neil and still seemed to get very few injuries, with a few exceptions in the likes of Martin Laursen. (Albeit we were fatigued to shit by March)
-
Every fan has certainly been gingered this season.
-
Gabby Back , Hamstring and shoulder
Poor old Gabby, sounds like me after a few hours gardening.
-
If it's soft tissue injuries then it's down to the training.
-
Has Bent really been that missed?
He hardly contributes to flowing play and its not like we have been creating loads of chances that if he was there he would be putting away
Just a horrible horrible season and i want it over
-
Bannan would be injured if I got my hands on him. Give him a slap to buck his ideas up.

Watch him in his proper position for the reserves as opposed to out on the wing, then you'd change your mind.

It has been weird for the last few seasons, where we regularly seem to have about 7 players out injured. I gather Bolton are similarly stricken tonight though, with an 18 year old being lined up for a start tonight.

You can add Ireland again to the list
