I think the club ought to buy them for display, or is Randy selling another asset?
-
Some Birminghan Senior Cup medals there. I remember when we used to enter that.
-
You would think that with the lack of Reserve games we could put a team out for the competition.

We should enter it again ...some chance of Siverware at least!
-
No league or cup winners medals in there so seems expensive
-
Albert Evans had the most fascinating story of the 1897 team. He ended up gold mining in the Yukon.

Me too. I got thrown out of the Sty for "foul and abusive language" in August 1983 when we played them in aforementioned cup.

if you still have change there is also this:

It's actually the winners 'medal' even though it's a tankard. They also have his 1977 one for sale, two of his international caps and his 1971/72 Football League Division One Champion’s 9ct gold trophy.

Imagine owning something as dripping with history as those medals.
I wonder if the club have some already or would be interested in buying them?
Mind you, they'd have to be commercially viable etc etc etc zzzzzzzzzzzz

The big problem there is the precedent. Do it for one and you'd have to do it for all.

Not really, they might just not have a set of these medals. Doesn't mean they'd have to scoop them all up.

Exactly, what's wrong with the club obtaining a representative selection of historic medals? They may already have these of course but buying none because you have to buy them all is a bit odd.
-
I can just imagine the headlines in oooh, let's say the Mercury: "THEY BOUGHT HIS AND MINE ARE BETTER."

That's no so expensive, might have a crack at that!

What's the point we have nowhere to put them.
