-
Brighton away.

Think we'll get - Blackburn Home.
-
Blackburn at V.P. probably.
-
I've been told Albion have got Rotherham, a little bird has told me.
It will be interesting if it turns out to be the case.
-
Anyone rubbish at home please.
-
I've been told Albion have got Rotherham, a little bird has told me.

Especially as Rotherham went out to Leicester !
-
Hereford away might be fun.
-
Carlisle Away
-
Carlisle Away
I'm busy that night if it is!
-
I'd have anyone poor at V.P. so we can get a safe passage through but if we were away then i'd likle MK Dons or Northampton

-
Nottingham Forest away please - with the option of being on sky also.
-
Anyone rubbish at home please.
This please
-
Away to the winner of Bristol City/Swindon.
-
Is it seeded?
I don't want any Premier League teams, Leeds or Leicester.
Would like to be at home to someone local and rubbish. Shame Blues aren't in it yet.
-
Put your money on us drawing Burnley.
-
I'd like us to play someone I don't remember us playing before:-
Hereford
Barnet
Aldershot
Morecambe
Macclesfield
-
The same as it always has been throughout my three, soon to be four years at University. Somebody from Nottingham away.
-

That'll be Forest then as they knocked County out.
-
Brighton away would be a nice trip. What would be the guest brewer?
-
Bury at home would do me. It would be quite amusing though if the Blackburn saga continued.
-
By my calculations the 13 Premier League teams not in Europe should be seeded along with the two non-European relegated sides (will have to count as Sheffield Wednesday/Blackpool and West Ham/Aldershot as their matches were postponed) along with the top remaining nine teams from the Championship still in it should be seeded. They are... Cardiff, Charlton/Reading, Forest, Leeds, Burnley, Millwall, Leicester, Middlesbrough and Bristol Rovers/Watford.
Or it might be they just seed the Premier League teams in which case we will definitely get fucking Leicester.
-
Leeds or Huddersfield away
-
Coventry? Or are they out already? If they are, id go with Exeter away.
-
It's Round Two. Of course Coventry are out.
-
Brighton away would be a nice trip. What would be the guest brewer?
Please be Brighton away, god owes me this.
Envyl Ale please, the devil can have my soul if this both happens.

Just noticed, Wednesday v Blackpool wasn't postponed, they're playing tonight. So if Blackpool win, they'll be seeded. If not, take out Wednesday/Blackpool and add the next highest team as a seed.... Bristol City/Swindon.
-
Anyone at home pls...3 home games in a week would get the season going nicely :-)
-
If those teams listed are the only ones - we could win this!
-
Exeter home or away please. One of my closest friends in a Exeter fan. Fantastic occasion.
-
Nobody really to fear in this draw.
-
What time is the draw?

As you've missed them off the list of teams, it has to be Rochdale away (Beat Chesterfield 3-2 aet on Tuesday night) - 2 mile stroll down Edenfield Road, into Sandy Lane and then into Willbutts Lane Stand for the Norden Villains - All 3 of us !
-
Leicester away for me
-
Someone difficult away so that when we get to the final the people who don't like Mcleish can't drone on about the easy draws we got.
-
Hereford at home.
-

I'll be quite happy to win both cups having had the most piss easy draws imaginable to mankind, ta.
-
Extra-time in Wednesday v Blackpool so the draw will be delayed till after that match has finished.
-
I do feel we have a very solid chance of winning this competition.

I say that every season.

Hereford away
-
There are only about 4 people at Hillsborough. Looks weird seeing the Kop empty there.
-
No its 'Down down deeper and down'
How the hell do you find out the draw by the way,the BBC are ignoring it completely!
-
Only a couple of minutes from the draw now.
-
I like the Oasis tune... Fade Away .
-
We're ball number 1.
-
Beelzebub doing the draw. He looks ill, but doesn't he always.
-
Hereford (H)
-
nice draw that
-
How is this draw being done? They seem to have a team already up and the studio guests are just drawing out one side?
-
So when did we play them last then?
-
not as long ago as I thought I dont think
-
sunderland got the hardest one
-
So when did we play them last then?
1972, League Cup. They'd just got into the league.
-
Great draw, chuffed as my cousin used to play for them, and they need the money. In the words of Richard Key's we will smash em.
-
4-1?
-
Sweet. Might be a poor attendance though if ticket prices are too much. Free for Season Ticket Holders? *winky thing*
-
Excellent draw. Alex has brought his jammy cup draws across the city with him!
Better not fuck this up Villa...
-

Hereford get a say in the prices so no chance. I think the lowest we can charge is £15 without getting pre-agreement from Hereford. They might let us sell them for a tenner, if we're lucky.
-
Anyone have the draw in full?

Brighton v Sunderland looks the best tie, I reckon.

Cheers.

Great tie for Midlands football.
-
Hereford at home.
and your wish is granted

Newcastle being done at Scunthorpe is another tasty one. Full house at Exeter to turn over Liverpool would be nice.
-
Exteer seem to get lucky almost every year with big cup ties.
-
Exeter getting Liverpool at home can only be great for them financially and is my personal favourite of the ties.
I was hoping for a club of similiar to stature to Hereford away from home but what'cha gonna do?

The draw they had at this stage 34 years ago was a big one [winky thing]

I'm psychic!
-
erm... i'm really confused, since when do we play in teh 2nd round of the league cup?
we didn't last season...

Clubs involved in European competition don't come in until round 3.

Yeah, wishful thinking. I suppose you can't complain with £15 if it's that.
-
We attracted 35,000 for the League Cup game with Burnley at a tenner a go last year. If we tell Hereford that, they might be tempted.
-
Nice draw that!
-
I'm pleased with that draw Hereford at home I wonder if Graham Turner will be there to watch it.
-
Excellent draw. Alex has brought his jammy cup draws across the city with him!
MON didn't do too badly in 2009/2010.
-
Is Graham Turner still involved in some capacity over there?
-
Is Graham Turner still involved in some capacity over there?
No, Turner did something worse than Eck moving from Blues to Villa,.............................. he went up the A49 to Shrewsbury
-
I've been to quite a few games at Hereford. They're kind of my third team, after Villa and Brizzle Rovers
-

Pedant alert - it is nearer 24 if you are referring to the Simon Stainrod goalfest.
-
Hereford eh ?....beware the ghost of Ronnie Radford !

Apologies E77- just did my research. Not old enough to remember that one. :(

Being £10 or £15 probably won't effect our following. We took 2000 to The Bluenoses a few years ago so I'd expect 2500ish to a clearly superier venue ;)
Looking forward to it.

I think it's about 4k.
-
My dad (a life long villa fan who passed on the torch) and all of his family were/are from Hereford.
Good people ( in my experience) be kind and gentle with them if they ask for directions,
Then in nicest possible way lets stuff them 6-0
Will certainly have a tear in my eye as I imagine dads views on the game.
-
Looking forward to this one. Hereford born and bred but lived in Streetly for the past 20 odd years. Used to go to school next to Edgar St and I started watching Hereford when John Charles was the centre forward
Was also in the Merton Meadow stand for the games against Newcastle and West Ham
Happy days!

Unusual to play on a Tuesday night at Villa Park.

Tues 23rd of August @ 7.45
Is that for definite - that's only next week and I couldn't see anything on the OS fixture list or ticket page? I'm in the Cup Scheme so the game just gets added to the ST card rather than get a separate ticket but the downside of that is you have to keep a keen eye out for the date.
-
Still nothing the Villa website regarding tickets and it's only 8 days away???????? I've decided that this game will mark the end of my self imposed Villa Park exile so it'd be nice to know how much it's going to cost me.
-
If we go by Herefords official website then:-
The game is definetely Tuesday 23rd August. Kick off 7.45pm.
Tickets are a £10 and £5 concessions.
They should bring a good following as there is also pay on the night and they are talking about subsidised travel too.

-
Rang the ticket office to make sure they'd had my Cup Scheme form. Couple of things - firstly, the details are going on the OS this lunchtime as apparently they've only just had details of the ticket prices, and, secondly, all tickets will be paper tickets so won't be added to ST cards.
-
I've been in the Cup Scheme for years but the club haven't got me registered for this season.
It looks like because I renewed my Season Ticket on-line they didn't register me for the cup games.
-
You needed to complete a separate form.
-
You needed to complete a separate form.
Which you can find and download here on this page. Its been quite well hidden away.

Go down to last section "Access and Discounts" and click on 'Cup Scheme'.

United putting on free coach travel for this one so can say that there will probably be more Hereford fans at Villa park than were at edgar street saturday.
Not gonna happen but there is no way I will be able to show my face in Hereford again if we lose and will have to seriously consider moving.
-
Pravda (http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2420836,00.html)
Villa take on Hereford in the second round of the Carling Cup next Tuesday - with tickets as low as £10 for adults and £5 for kids.
These are the standard prices for all areas of the ground, except Doug Ellis and Trinity Road Stands, which will be priced at £12 for adults.
The match takes place on Tuesday August 23, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Tickets go on sale from 6pm TONIGHT and this will be online only to season card holders who wish to claim their own seat.
They are then on sale TOMORROW via phone lines at 0800 612 0970 or in person to season card holders while on Wednesday from 9am they go on general sale.
Hereford United have requested their full allocation of tickets which means that season card holders in the North Stand Upper will not have the option to claim their seat for this fixture.
All supporters will receive PAPER TICKETS for this fixture, no season cards will be activated for the game.
This is also a CUP SCHEME fixture, which means members will have their credit/debit card automatically charged on Monday August 15 and match ticket(s) will be sent to them.
As this is an early midweek fixture, only tickets purchased before 3pm on Friday August 19 will be posted to supporters.
All tickets purchased AFTER this deadline will be available for collection only.
Supporters are advised to collect their tickets as early as possible to avoid the disappointment of missing kick-off.
Tickets can be collected from the Villa Village Ticket Office from 4pm on Friday August 19 until 5pm on Tuesday August 23 after which point, tickets can ONLY be collected from the Trinity Road Ticket Office.
-
Plus £2 online transaction fee (of course)
-

18 coaches full so far ;)

28 coaches now full suggests well over 2000 from God's country ;)
We will be making some noise.

I've been to a couple of games at Hereford and have a bit of a soft spot for them, just a shame that you got 1500 on Saturday but 2000 will travel to VP

Are you bringing your bull?

There isn't a seat big enough on the coach. ;D
-
There isn't a seat big enough on the coach. ;D
Shame, might have added a little incentive with the winners getting to eat it. ;-)
-
Ask Blues to borrow the coach they use to take Barry Austin to away games. Your bull would fit in his seat comfortably.
-
Some of the old cows who were sitting by me on Saturday were very miserable. The sight of a bull sitting next to them might put a smile on there faces .......
-
Ask Blues to borrow the coach they use to take Barry Austin to away games. Your bull would fit in his seat comfortably.
Then when he gets to the ground and gets charged for the two seats he takes up he can go crying to The Birmingham Mail and/or The European Court Of Human Rights like Barry.

We might have seen a much improved performance from Richard Dunne !
