If you had a wish for the new season what would it be?
I want to see a team that is angry with how they've been perceived in the press and written off in some quarters come out swinging next season. I want to see a team absolutely champing at the bit and ready to shed blood, sweat and tears for the whole season for the fans and their manager.
I want to see a united fan base stop whinging about how much we've slid from the halcyon days of finishing 6th and almost winning a cup and get behind the team.
Bring on the new season cause I haven't wanted a Villa team to prove people wrong as much as I do now.

win the fa cup .

You've summed it up for me Rigadon.
With a few new, well selected players coming in it's time for a new start and the opportunity to show that our club can mix it with the best of 'em!
About 4/5 seasons ago we seemed to play with no fear, then we became all predictable and samey.
I want us to go back to having a bloody good go at the opposition, no matter who they are or what stars they've got playing for them, including A Young and S Downing.

3 would be better!
-
I hope we are not relegated.
-
Gabby having his best season ever.
I want Gabby/ Benty to be spoken of the same as Deano/Dalian and Withe/Shaw.
-
Win a trophy and finish in the top four.
-
I hope we are not relegated.
Jeez. Your spirit really is broken isn't it?

As above, but being tight at the back would be grand too.

That's a good one actually. Personally can't see it happening but it'd be fucking ace if those two formed some kind of muscular, super fast and powerful duo. Bring it on.

Yes, but there is a waiting list for season tickets for the Emirates.

Thinking of during my boots off ..... and hope wont need then for first match of the season lol
Why oh why do we seem to go through exactly the same every transfer window?
-
We win our first ten games.
Only need a further 10 / 12 points to avoid relegation.
-
lose first 24 games in the row then win 14 games in the row :)
No no top 4 and a FA Cup and brilliant signings and entertaining football.
-
Same as every season - Villa captain holding the FA Cup.
-
I hope we are not relegated.
Jeez. Your spirit really is broken isn't it?
I was going to post the same. In fairness, we flirted with relegation last year and have since sold two England internationals and our first choice 'keeper. Doesn't bode well does it?
-
We won't get relegated. Not a chance.
As others have said - my wish is to win the FA Cup. It's gone beyond a joke now.
-
That the rest of the fans get behind the team.
-
An improvement of last season's dog shit performances/results and 20 goals for Darren Bent please
-
Us to sign a proper nasty bastard at right back and an early 50-50 challenge with Mr Downing when we play Liverpool
-
That the fans stop blaming Lerner for not spunking every penny he has on trying to get us to 4th spot, and realise that our situation is merely the sad reality of modern football.
-
Knocking the holders out of both cups would do for a start.
-
FA Cup please.
Would also like everybody to get behind the team but that is much less possible.
-
League Cup
FA Cup
That'll do. I'm easily satisfied.
-
To win a trophy and for the chuckle brothers to start defending again like they did under MON
-
Win a cup and fight hard for a top four place let's have Villa Park rocking in every game so people say what a atmosphere there is at Villa Park every game.
-

Amen

I was trying not to get too carried away!

;D
Alex McLeish to go the same way, sime time as Graham Turner 1986/87
perhaps :P

The weather is a little better than last season.
-
That i can actually hear what the loudspeakers are saying and we can afford to have our screen back at the North stand/Witton lane corner.

THIS !
-
FA cup for me! Also hope we can come up with some good songs from the fans, and really give thẹ team 110% backing! And go a whole season without mentioning/singing about small heath.
-
That I can find some paint to watch dry.
-
A cup and entertaining football
*Fumbles for medication*
-
have our screen back at the North stand/Witton lane corner.
If this happened I could die a happy man!
-
That the Holte end starts singing praise for McCleish. That means we are having one fucking hell of a season
-
I'd like us to start looking like a developing football team rather than a collection of expensive misfits.
Whichever way you look at it it's not likely to be a 'successful' season, if we come out of it looking like we can get better next year I'd consider that a result.
-

I''ll have some of that and add Fortness Villa Park. Is it too much to ask to win games and entertain your own fans, it seems so long since we've done it.
-
Score some goals at home for a change.
-
The fans get behind the team rather than moaning and singing about Blues
-
Just a minor...hope they dont play that stupid Bell chime and video ever again.

Amen to that. The 'bring out your dead' vibe really did make me want to funeral myself.
-
Absolutely perfect description Rigadon! Someone needs to send this to the General! ;D
-
We've got enough points on the board to stay up before the 24th March.
Then its Arsenal Away, Chelsea Home, Liverpool Away, Stoke Home and Man U Home!!!
Got to be the hardest run of fixtures for any club this season?
-
For the fans to get behind big eck
For the fans to get behind the board
For the defence to shape up
To win a cup (preferably the fa cup)
Is it too much to ask for?
-
Time will tell Alex.
Depends on the first few games and who he brings in for Mcleish to get backed.
I dont think the fans trust the board as much as they did.
The defence might shape up, but need Dunne and Collins to communicate better.
Depends if we decide the league is more important or we draw Man U and Chelsea in the early rounds.
-
I want to see the players play with pride for the shirt. Thats all any fan can ask for surely.
-
That couple who won the euromillions suddenly declare themselves as life-long Villa fans and donate all of it to our transfer fund instead of eating themselves to death by the end of month.which seems likely.
On a serious note, i'd like AM to prove himself not to be the hoof merchant we all think he is, and we're take the premiership by storm with a mixture of top quality passing football and enthusiastic youngsters playing out their skins.
yep, i think the 1st one's more likely too..........

Remember our last two games last season?
Arsenal away, Liverpool home, apparently we had no chance and were going to get stuffed in both.
Won them.
Relax and enjoy.
-
I would like us to have avoided relegation in early January and win the FA cup.
