2-0 Home win
Bent 8, 16
-
2-2.With people watching their i-phones more than the game
-
Aston Villa 5 Liverpool 1 with 5 goals in first half 4 from Darren Bent. and Tottneham to win 5-1 with 4 goals from Peter Crouch
-
Right last week Legion was pessimistic and I was ridiculously optimistic. This time he's gone for a 2-0 Villa win. Hmmm...
Villa 0 Liverpool 8.
-
We'll nick it 2-1. can't bloody go though, damn wedding anniversery.
-

I must get ONE prediction right this season?!
-
One step forward two steps back as has been the case all season.
Villa 1-2 Liverpool and Reina keeping them in it despite us being all over them.
-
Prior to Sunday I felt we had one "Where the f*ck did that come from?" performance to come - and I would have reckoned it would have been against Liverpool.
Having won at the Emirates, I'll guess normal service will be resumed. A lacklustre 2-1 home defeat, with Ashley signing off his Villa career with a late consolation.

My GOD this is likely.
I guess the same for me please, waiter.
-
2-0 Home win
Bent 8, 16
You mean 2-1.
Bent 10, 14
Suarez 89
-
Head says 2-2 draw, heart says victory!
-
We will be chearing on Spuds, them Blose. I think they will want it more than us.
-
For once I predicted us to win last week so to that end:
1-0 Villa. Bent.
-
Tottenham 4 Birmingham City 0
Are the Villa playing?
-
2-2 all. Bent and farewell goal from Ashley Young.
3-0 Spurs.
-
1-1 Bent Collins OG

By 'late consolation' do you mean that Brad lets him take a goal kick, after all it's the only thing he hasn't yet been allowed to do on the pitch this season.
...singing bye bye Ashley Ashley Young.
-
If i have time to watch the match. (even though i will be in the Holte) 2-1 Villa Downing Collins. But i will be firmly fixed on my iphone for another certain result .........
-
Draw for me. 2-2
-
one of the ball from Villa game will be punted so hard out of Villa Park and it went to St Andrews stadium and land on back of Peter Crouch head to set up last minute winner for Spurs to send them down :) The referee allow the goal
-
It would have a job as the noses are playing at Shite Fart Lane and not at home.

We got your general drift though. Ha ........
-
Bent 3 - 2 Carroll/Suarez
-
2-2 for me. Bent and young. Suarez and kuyt.
I'd play 433 again as I'd like to see if we could make it work at home, and get at their fullbacks. I wouldn't make too many changes, but I'd consider starting Clark and makoun. Would like to keep delph in the side as I thought he showed lots of promise v arsenal and can't understand some of the negative commfmts
-
Heart says 2-1 win, head says 2-1 defeat.
Left leg predicts a draw. Digestive system doesn't follow football, wants to know what's for breakfast.
But that's just my gut feeling
-
2-2.
Bent, Downing
Suarez, Kuyt.
-
Back to earth. 0-2 to them.
-
When we signed Bent I said, a bit opitmistically, that he would get 10 goals before the end of the season. I would just love hime to achieve that and I'd love it to be the winner in front of the Holte.
1-0 Bent 82
-
2-1 Villa for me with Bent scoring twice I just have this feeling we will beat them.
-
I'll go for a 3-3 draw with Bent, A Young and Downing for us.
Comedy own goal from Dunne in the 93rd minute to bring the Dippers level
-
2-0 Villa both from Bent. Finish the season on a high.
-

We are on a high after the Arse result. They are on a low after losing to Spudz. There can only be one winner...1-2 loss.
Role on the summer. Transfers, clear outs, new manager, rumours, being linked to Keane, Defoe, Benzema and probably Beattie for good measure.
-
2-2. All scored at the Holte End for a change
-
There will be goals in this. Let's go for 2-1 to us.
-
It's about time Bent got one infront of the holte end
-
Lively 2-2 draw. Would love to see Gardner get 20 minutes or so.
-
Villa to win 2-1. It's about time we beat them at Villa Park! The last time I think was around 98-99. Bent to finally score at the Holte End!
Spurs 5 Blose 1, Wigan to draw at Stoke to send Blose down (I hope)! Relegation prediction: Blose, Blackpool and West Ham (already gone)
-
Gotta miss this, gave my season ticket to my mate as I have an exam the next afternoon.
I'll go for a 2-2.
Bent, Downing
Suarez, Kuyt
-
fook it .
villa 3 bin dips 0
tott 4 blose 0
Manure 1 blackpool 1
Day of the season
-
I predicted a damn good hiding for us last week so I gonna do the same with this one.
Villa 0 L''The Mighty Reds YNWA' 5 ( Lucas 5 )
-
I'd love it to be different, but I think it's going to be 2-1 to Liverpool. I also think Blues will stay up. Not at my most optimistic for some reason.
-
The referee for the match is Lee Probert (Wiltshire).
His only encounter with Villa in the league this season saw us defeated at Stoke in August, although we did triumph over Blackburn in the FA Cup this season under Probert's control.
Liverpool have beaten West Brom, West Ham and Fulham - all at Anfield - with Probert this year.
The assistants will be Andy Madley (yellow flag) and John Flynn (chequered). Neil Swarbrick is 4th official.

Thankyou - and what colour underpants will the car park gateman be wearing?
-
4-3 win
-
0-3, well it worked last weekend.
-
Thankyou - and what colour underpants will the car park gateman be wearing?
None. He's the offical streaker for the day.
-
Got a feeling this could be GH last game so its just got to be a draw 2-2 most likely
-
Sorry if its been mentioned but I read on the beeb gossip column that the daily star (I know) are reporting GH could be at VP on Sunday. Probably rubbish...

He wouldn't dare miss his beloved Liverpool. They're playing Villa, apparently.
-
Well, it remains to be seen if he'll be there or not, but if he is there, sat in the directors box or something, then it will just muddy the waters further regarding who'll be our manager next season.

Home Sport Aston Villa Aston Villa FC news Villa legend Gordon Cowans advises Gerard Houllier to stay away from Villa Park for Liverpool match
by Mathew Kendrick, Birmingham Mail
May 20 2011
0Share GERARD Houllier has been advised to stay away from Villa Park on Sunday by claret and blue legend and first-team coach Gordon Cowans.
The Villa boss is contemplating returning to the directors’ box for the visit of former club Liverpool as he recovers from his health scare.
But Cowans believes Houllier would be best advised to watch the final match of the season from the comfort of his own home.
The European Cup-winning hero, who is now part of Villa’s backroom staff, thinks Sunday’s game is too soon for Houllier to return. “I think he’d love to be there but I think if he’s sensible he’d stay away.
“I think it’s probably too soon. I’d hate him to get there and be too worked up.
“Obviously with it being Liverpool there will be that bit more call for him to want to be there but I think he’ll do the sensible thing and stay away.”
Villa hope to resolve Houllier’s future within two weeks of the season ending but an announcement is likely to have to wait until their current Premier League arbitration hearing with former boss Martin O’Neill is concluded.
Houllier is also awaiting medical advice.
But Cowans confirmed that Houllier visited the training ground in midweek and is extremely confident of being back in the dugout next season.
“We all expect him 100 per cent to come back,” said Cowans. “He’s in really good nick at the moment. He’s improving as the days go by and he’s got the time to make that improvement.
“He’s feeling fantastic at the moment. He looks very well. He came around on Tuesday, we had a chat then and we saw him again on Wednesday and he looked very well.
“He was in good form and having a laugh and a joke. He’s very positive.
“He’s always on the phone, he can’t leave it alone. He’s that sort of person, he loves football, he lives for football.

Villa 5 Liverpool 4
Bent 2, 3, 9, 14, 90+4
Scouse 86, 87, 88, 89
-
Director box will be enough and let GM to sort out the team and shouting and teamtalk. A small message to change substitute or tactic is ok.
-
I hope it's a nice afternoon!
-
An entertaining 2-2.
-
Come on lads there is only one result we are "really" watching ? and that is the mighty Tottenham Hotspur. "your coming up, your going down" etc ........2-1 Villa Downing - Collins ..
-
No Makoun after his family have been involed in a car accident. He's off home.
-

Hope they're alright.
-
Isn't it marvellous that it does not matter at all what the score is, after the season we have had? I read that Houllier definitely cannot come, because there are no spare seats available on the Liverpool bench.
-

Shame if he doesn't get the opportunity to acknowledge his adoring public and also the Villa fans.
-
Ideal scanrio for me is a tight 0-0 for 89 minutes, meaning Spurs thinking they need the win, and then we win it 1-0 with a very late Bent goal.
If we're leading comfortably (yeah - I know) then Spurs have less onus on them and that may save the scummers.
-
0-2. Suarez 67, 80.
-
Spurs 1 (Ridgewell og 85 mins) Small Heath 0
Villa 1 Liverpool 1
(abandoned 86 mins due to uncontrollable laughter)

Someone will no doubt confirm, but I don't think we've ever beaten a team managed by Dalglish.
First time we beat Liverpool in over a decade was 1991/92 - with Souness in charge. We didn't beat Blackburn until Aug 1996 - when he'd moved upstairs or departed (I forget which). And we didn't beat Newcastle between 1993-98, Gullit was in charge when Lee Hendrie scored from the spot IIRC.
Would dearly love to see that change, about time we hammered the cants. But I see a low key 0-1 or 0-2 to them.

Thanks for that. Just what I needed.
-
I honestly have no idea what the result will be but like some others on here I was expecting a good hiding at Arsenal last week so I'll go 0-4.
Hodgson said the other day that the Tesco bag's aim for the rest of the season was to finish above us and the scum. We're 1 point behind so I'm hoping we win and they lose at Newcastle although, to be honest, if the scum go down then it'll still be a good day.

If we draw and they lose we will go above on goal difference
-
Cuellar injured now too, having an operation. :(
-
In one of the pre-match analyses here in Sweden it says that Villa probably won't play Bent. If he gets one more goal, the club has to pay Sunderland extra money. Do you know if that is true?
-

I can't go to the game - I will be officiating at another sporting event (international athletics meeting at Loughborough University) - if the unwashed go down - I won't just be laughing I'll be joining in the 4x400 relay!
-
With the exception of Reina and Suarez, the Dippers looked pretty bland last week, so i'm going for a win if we can keep on top of those two.
Bent was brilliant so 2-1 with him getting both Villa goals, Suarez with theirs.
-
Would love to see Gardner given 20 minutes now were guaranteed safety.
-

It might be one of the clauses which will eventually take the fee up to £24million but unless we are dropping him forever we'll have to pay out eventually, might as well be tomorrow.
File under 'journalist has made this up'!

If he scores the winner - worth it.

We can finish anywere between 14th and 9th, and with about £500, 000 at stake for every position higher up the league we finish any Bent goal would probably make us decent money. Unless there's a clause which states we have to pay a couple of million extra if he scores a certain amount of goals this season, which I think is unlikely. It's far more likely to be a fee once he's reached a certain amount of goals period, which as has already been pointed out, he will do eventually.
-
A must win game to ensure we finish as high as possible.
As we rarely beat them any result along with a decent performance will do.
A great chance for those players looking to leave to impress and say bye on a high.
-
Pretty please, can we not have any pathetic "COME ON SPURS"-type banners at the ground? It makes us luck sad and small-time and it didn't work when some twats paraded an Arsenal banner before the League Cup Final.
-
But hopefully we will be allowed to sing.
Won a cup
And you f***ed it up!
At about ten to 6 tomorrow afternoon.

Could have had a clause for number of goals scored this season.
-
A simple 'forever in our shadow' banner would do it tbh.
-
"while your in the championship, you can do what you want!"
-
"Who are you?"
-
"The City is Ours"
-
Tomorrow is a complete sell out - must be first of the season. Stopped off at the Ticket Office today and there was not not one single ticket available for the match.
-

It is indeed, sold out just less than a week ago. Think we'll probably get about 41500 in or so - a few pissy season ticket holders on here were making the point of not going.
-
We have ruined our supremacy against Wolves and Albion this season by letting them beat us after quarter of a century so now it's payback time. We must end 13 years of hurst and beat these *uckers at VP.
-

It doesn't matter, Villa use tickets sold as the number announced, not actual attendance, for the attendance figure!
-
If we win and Stoke, Bolton and West Brom lose we finish 9th, wouldn't be that bad after the season we've had
-
Those few places are worth £3m more in prize money too.
-
For anyone on this side of the water, its live on Setanta Ireland.
-
Ironically we have the 5th best record in the league for our last 6 matches... make of that what you will!
-
I really fancy every team to score today, so I'm putting 50p on a goalrush bet!
-

How much would you cop for that?
-
For anyone on this side of the water, its live on Setanta Ireland.
Thanks Ger, I'll be parked in front of the tv all day.
-
28/1 on us to win 3-2
10/1 on us to win 2-1
-
Did i read somewhere that Carlos is out? I would have liked to see him get a game today. I'd keep the same midfield three as last week, to see if it works as well again. It would'nt surprise me to see Bradley start.
-
Leaving now to meet some friends at the Holte. Come on make this a good one. I hate stevie stevie whole lot of them ....end the hurt today Villa.
-
I see the lowest we can finish is 14th while 9th is possible with a win and other results going our way. Strange season.....
-

That's about 4 million pounds then, we could pay Habib Beye for another 100 weeks!
-
Frank is in The Bartons with Archie and a load of the Latin Lions. I am done with photo taking duty so have returned to my pint!
-
I hope we can end this crap season on a high.
2-1 Bent x2
-
It'd be nice to finish on a high and the prize money would be useful.
-
Getting a wee bit nervous and I'm not sure why.
2-2, Bent to score ours (both in front of the holte) after losing at half time courtesy of Suarez and Lucas.
-
is this the first time that every club in the division is playing at the same time on the same day?
if so, its ridiculous-I for one think its more exciting if everyone is playing at the same time? Anybody agree?
and 1-1 today.
-
They need a win but when the time go on Spur will win that no point for them to win
-

Think they have made us all play at the same time and day for about 3 years. maybe longer.
-
2-2, scousers to get a late equalizer.
Spurs 1-0, Crouch 90+7. A result that sends a certain club to division 2.
-
3-1 win today for me, liverpool really don't seem bothered about the europa league, couldn't get themselves up for the last home game of the season against a team the could've gone above with a win, can't see how they'll be any more motivated for today.
-
3-0 Villa, Benty to get one and Young the other two as his final hurrah in claret and blue.
Spuds to win one nil, with a miskick by Gardner bouncing in off Ridgewell's arse on 90 + 5 minutes. Sending the fuckers into a tailspin to oblivion.
-
A draw is good enough now predicting wins is asking for trouble..I love surprises though.
-
anyone know if the game is on the internet anywhere?
-
1 - 0 Villa today, Bent so score.
Blues to go down - don't care how!
