Title: The Spurs/Harry Redknapp appreciation thread.
Post by: Andy_Lochhead_in_the_air on May 15, 2011, 07:59:21 PM
Obviously things revolve around Wigan and/or Blackpool doing their bit, but first of all lets just say I think Spurs are a great team, I love 'appy 'arry and I hope they finish off with a flourish next sunday.

In fairness I appreciate he's a good manager and mostly a good personality to have in the game, but he always strikes me as one of those 'Cockney Gangster' types.

We could try that 'oh when the spurs go marching in' in the Adagio tempo they seem to favour these days.
Then again Im happy to settle for a boisterous 'Shit on the City' allegretto tempo as the score flashes come in on the radio.

I think there's a chance that Spurs will thump Blues and they'll go down on goal difference, as Blackpool/Wigan lose by the odd goal.

If that were true, he could have guaranteed missing out on it by losing at Anfield today - much easier than losing to Small Heath...

It must be the first time that both teams in a League Cup final both had shit seasons after playing in it.

The joy.

Them going down and winding up down a few leagues due to financial irregularities would just about make up for them winning a tin pot.

I think the negative stuff he was saying about the Europa League was getting his excuses in early because he knows how difficult it will be to repeat a top four finish. If he was going to throw the towel in, yesterdays six pointer was the one to lose. Theres no point losing at home to Blues only for Villa to beat Liverpool and they end up in Europe anyway. I can see Wolves and Blackburn carving up a nice draw between them and Wigan getting the best result out of the three teams on 39.

Good news on this front.

It is now in Tottenham's interest to finish 5th... The Premier League has been awarded an extra Europa spot via the fair play league, and should Tottenham finish 6th (and not in automatic Europa League spot), they will 'win' the Fair Play league and therefore enter the Europa League at the earliest position and face qualifiers in June.

It just gets better and better doesn't it? This is now the third day running that absolutely everything that could possibly go against the The Noses has done.

I Sky+'ed the Alan Sugar doc from last week - watched it last night.  Happy Harry seems to have walked away from the whole Portsmouth debacle scott-free.  Signing James, Campbell, Defoe et al on massive wages with 20K crowds was never sustainable, yet he has the guile to say managers don't know what players are earning?  And I'm a Dutchman...

However, I have a warm feeling thanks to my newly found Jewish heritage.  Shalom, & up the Spurrrzzz.

Is it not the club top of the Premier League fair play table that gets the position and not 6th? i.e. currently Fulham?

Me neither,  but for 90 minutes I will for the first time ever wish a goal rush for Spurs.  It could be a very entertaining day at VP next Sunday with what unfolds before us having less impact than the buzz around the ground due to what is going on in London, Stoke, Manchester and to a lesser extent Wolverhampton.

I would like to see Tottenham to do better than this game on  Sunday, 22 November 2009 (They beat Wigan 9-1)  It would be beautiful.

Come on PETER CROUCH do your job, and time for Ridgewell, Gardner, Phillips to play worst game of season)
