The Scottish Football Association have strongly refuted claims by Brazil star Neymar that he was racially abused by the Tartan Army at the Emirates Stadium.
A man dressed as a black and white minstrel ran onto the pitch during Brazil's 2-0 victory over the Scots in their challenge match, as the 19-year-old was preparing to take his successful 77th-minute penalty the pitch invader ran up to him singing 'Jump down, turn around pick a bale of cotton'
Speaking afterwards, Neymar accused some spectators of making comments about the size of his penis, a claim was also made by team-mate Lucas Leiva, who said that Scottish supporters kept sucking their teeth at him.
Neymar said: "I feel great and scored two but what happened with the black and white minstrel is sad. I don't want to make a big deal of it."
However, an SFA spokesperson said: "There has been no such incident reported to the police or the stadium safety officer.
"In fact, the tens of thousands of Scotland supporters who travelled to the Emirates were commended for their behaviour.
"The Scotland supporters are known the world over for their impeccable behaviour and we have no reason to believe that, after speaking to the relevant authorities, they have been anything other than exemplary, we did not hear at any time, any sort of ridicule.
"The Scotland fans helped create a wonderful spectacle inside the Emirates and throughout London and should be applauded for their support."
Santos forward Neymar, who has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, said earlier on Brazilian television channel Sportv: "They were jeering me a lot, even when I was about to kick the penalty, they shouted that I would probably trip over as my penis was so large.
"The entire stadium was jeering. This atmosphere of racism is totally sad.
"We leave our country to play here and something like this happens.
"It's sad. I'd rather not even talk about it, to keep the subject from escalating."
Liverpool midfielder Lucas said: "There is no more space for black and white minstrels or stereotyping about large cocks in the world.
"They say it's the first world here in Europe, but it's where it happens the most. That has to change.
"Everybody is equal today. It's a matter of respect."
Hamish Husband, Tartan Army spokesman, also dismissed suggestions of racism.
He said: "The reason Neymar was booed was because we believed he was feigning injury, not because he's a nig nog.
"Racism has no place in the Tartan Army, and if it did, it would be stamped out immediately, because we are self-policing.
"Any suggestion of racism from the Tartan Army today, as far as I am concerned, is absolute rubbish. This Brazilian darky is talking out of his arse, if he feels that way about Scotland, he should never have left his mud hut
"We accept that The Coloureds played us off the park, and we applauded them for that."

Is that the one with the crap haircut?

Joking aside I don't believe a word of it. if it were true then there would be bananas on the pitch and pictures of the incident. When was the last time bananas were thrown in English grounds? Or Scottish ones? That has been eradicated. I'm sure the morons who did throw bananas also could tell the difference between throwing one at a black player, or black team, than targetting Brazil.
i don't think he's making it up a la Diouf, just that he got confused as to what he was being targetted, and booed, for. Where does he play his club football?

Nice work Fletch!
On the banana question, there is video evidence of a solitary nutritious fruit being thrown onto the pitch (http://bcove.me/fgxgl56e) but it seems most of the fans were booing him because of his constant diving and cheating.
-
There is no excuse for allowing somebody dressed up as a black and white minstrel on the pitch, the stewards must be fucking blind.

That wasn't a black and white minstrel, just a ginger jock who had been out in the sun too long.

There's no way the Scots are to blame.
Since they've decided to stop competing at football, their fans relaxed attitude to games has been a breath of fresh air, they can mix freely with their opponents without the tensions caused by competition, kind of like some bloke who buys you a drink even though you've just waltzed in and bagged the bird he's been chatting up all night.

It woz a German wot threw it.
-
i hope the scottish fans get a public apology from the brazil camp.

I've never liked Brazil. Ipswich bastard.
