If you were hosting a friend from another continent who was coming over to the UK on a once in a lifetime trip (specifically to take in a game at VP becuase they have been a life long Villa fan), where and what would you recommend they see/do in their short time here?
All suggestions most welcome

Take the stadium tour, tell the club about the visit and get a photo in a programme, spend a wad on a hospitality package, spend another one in the club shop. And do not expect to see a home win :-(
-
Stadium tour is a good start... liking it ;D
Who is best to tell about the visit, would not be Nicola Keys would it?
-
As the clock strikes 85 minutes...... LEAVE!
-
Make sure they have a pre-match pint in "The Villa Tavern" (remember Sat night is Disco night in the back room)
Aston Hall by Candlelight after the game is another option (if time of year suits)
-
Stadium tour on a non-match day.
Match day, H&V from yours truly followed by hospitality package or whatever your friend prefers.
Contact Rob Bishop about an article in the News and Record.
-
And go up The Bartons for a pint
-
Have dinner at VMF one night.
-
A pint in The Holte pub is a must
-
Take them midweek to the training ground too.

Are you allowed in BH nowadays ?
-
Walk up the hill towards Aston Hall and let them take in the view. But make sure you go on at length about how much better it used to look - surely the greatest football ground view in the world in fact - when the Trinity Road and Holte End were in their full former glory.
-
Dont forget a quick detour through Small Heath to show the contrast so your friend can fully appreciate what we are about.
-
You want to get a trip to the burial place of William McGregor too so that he can pay his respects - I think that's in Handsworth somewhere.
-
It's in the Church grounds.
-
Or just goto the statue of McGregor; on a non-Villa note, I've always taken my o/seas colleagues to the Black Country museum and one of the Little Pub companies, like Dry Dock
-
Yes, the statue is magnificent.

If you get time, take them to the back to backs down bath row to see how villa fans used to live
-
Many thanks to all who have offered suggestions. I knew you would not let me down!

What is your plan of action?

Once he has finalised his itinery & I know the dates he will be up here I can then get some stuff booked up. He already has his ticket for the Liverpool game, but is not exactly sure wether it will be 2 - 3 days he is staying in Brum.
I will keep you posted.
-
Definitely take the stadium tour it is worth every penny
-
A trip to Cadburys World, Bull Ring is worth a look if he is here for couple of days.
-
What age group are they ??
-
watch the game and then take him to London, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Manchester
-
& Dover Castle aswell as Lindisfarne
-
Warwick Castle another suggestion
-
Hadrians Wall & Bath should also feature on the itinerary
-
While he's in the area why not take in the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramids of Giza?
