My team would be: (4-3-3) Friedel; Walker, Cuellar, Collins/Dunne, Clark; Makoun, Bradley, Bannan; Young, Bent, Downing.

We really should be looking to win this one. The next 11 games could bring us within a shout of a European spot if Arsenal win the League Cup.

3-1. Fulham with an early goal (Andy Johnson mooning at the Holte End). Bent to equalise and then A Young to put us ahead. Had to also go for the Sidwell own goal in the 85th minute.

I'd keep same team apart from NRC for petrov, it's abit risky throwing Bradley straight in with Makoun.

Yep,that looks like a pretty strong side,Bradley may start on the bench. Really hope Ash gets put out on the left and wee Barry gets a start. Fulham are a funny team, dogged and hard to beat on one hand, but if teams get an early goal against them, they sometime crumble.

 2-1 Us.

I think we'll win well.

If we keep the ball as much as we did at Old Trafford and up the tempo somewhat, then we'll smash them.

I think we'll win well.

It is well to remember that it was some team defensively we were up against. They really didn't let us up our tempo despite how well we kept the ball. Like you say, if we see as much of the ball on Saturday as we did yesterday, we'll surely create enough chances to win.

I think this is a key game for us. Win and confidence remains high and we can start looking at the top 10 or better. Lose and it will show there is a lot of work still to be done and need to keep looking over our shoulders rather than just upwards.

Us 3 - 1 Them.

I think this will be a comfortable 2-0 win with Darren Bent bagging a brace.

Would like to see Friedel, Walker, Dunne, Collins, Clark, Reo Coker, Makoun, Agbonlahor, Downing, Young and Bent start

You are right. We should ideally give West London Designer Store FC a right good pasting. But they ain't necessarily pushovers, unless they visit Bicester Outlet on the way to B6. Midweek results largely squeezed up mid-table, so go Villa go.

I think we're going to have a frustrating night. It might take a while for us to gel, and judging by the way we played against Man Utd, we look good at playing the tippy-tappy stuff, but we don't really penetrate. I know, that was Man Utd, and this is Fulham, but we find it hard to break this lot down. I'm going for 2:2. Bent and Collins.

Fancy us to give someone a twatting....and we owe these after that 95th minute equaliser at Fulham, when it should have been all done and dusted well before then.

5-1 Villa (Bent 2, Young, Downing, Walker) (Dempsey for them).

Bradley 69

Sidwell 78

Houllier might send a message and leave Petrov out of the squad for his petulance, can't see him taking the trouble to get Bradley and not starting him, all very interesting with numerous permutations.

We now play none of the top 7 until the last 2 games of the season, a big game and looking at other fixtures a real chance to move up to 10th with a win.

Let's go and get it - 2-0!

Apparently Houllier says that they've sent Luke Young to a specialist as they can't work out what's wrong with his ankle.

Houllier also made a point that he was a regular till his injury.

Would love us to give fulham a good kicking and get our goal difference tally down a wee bit.

Think if houllier starts with makoun and Bradley he'll want to rely on either petrov or NRC in the midfield too just to sure things up. Have Bradley moving up field more to support the attack. With young left, downing right and bent up top.

Think if they can start playing with the fluidity they should be, it would be a lovely looking attack force, very excited about Saturday and it's great to be second guessing the team as we now have good, viable options to pick from.

Can Sidwell play, or is he officially on loan?
I watched a bit of their game against Newcastle last night and thought they were poor, and Sidders looked as anonymous for them as he had done here recently.
Expect us to struggle then!!

I would like to say that this is indeed going to be the "twatting" game....4-0 with Bent getting at least one in front of The Holte!

7-1. Downing with 5 and his crosses result in the other 2 which fly in off a stunned Emile Heskeys arse.

Downing gets slated on here and given a minus mark because he didn't track back in the 94th minute for the Fulham goal.

I thought they looked pretty solid and quite dangerous on the break, in fact, pretty similar to us but without the same quality.

They mugged us for a draw earlier in the season when Bent would have scored 5.

They are playing well and i think they are further down the road than us in terms of organisation and style of play, a lot tougher than many on here think, i am expecting a loss or draw

I think we will edge it but agree wholeheartedly with your comments, particularly as we rarely have easy games against Fulham and they have a history of doing much better at VP than anyone expects...

Totally disagree. If they're that much further down the road how is it that they only have one more point than us? They had a good win last week but that was largely down to Spurs committing suicide in the first ten minutes.

I've seen them a few of times and they didn't look anything special. We outplayed them at their place and their away record is pretty poor. If we perform how we have been in recent games then we'll win.

It's quite difficult to become a Butlins red coat I failed and ended up working behind the chip counter for 3 months, it's very competive. Therefore it must mean a hard fought win

Isn't it obvious, Damon? It quite clearly suggests Danny Murphy will put Fulham ahead with an early penalty but we'll come back to win it with goals from Albrighton and Bent.

Marshall Bradley Dunne Delfoneso NRC Heskey Albrighton

Confidence coming back, not even dented by a defeat in midweek.

Starting to pass the ball around very nicely.

New, expensive striker with 2 goals in 3.

A new midfield.

Opponents who are shit away from home.

A relatively simple looking three points.

However, we are Aston Villa, so who knows what will happen

If Cuellar plays, it might mean him keeping some balls in play.

My team for today would be:

Friedal

Walker - Collins - Cuellar - Clark

Albrighton - Makoun - Reo Coker - Downing

                         Young

                        Bent.

With the three of Albrighton, Downing and Young inter-changing throughout.

Bench: Marshall, Bannan, Dunne, Bradley, Agbonlahor, Heskey, Petrov.
