Title: Delph
Post by: barrysleftfoot on January 08, 2011, 05:21:09 PM

Will he be fit for next weekend?

Him with a Makoun kind of player, and Bannan in central midfield, would be a very good midfield for me.

Houllier said he was unfit for Sunderand and Sheff Utd only, so i'm assuming he has a chance for the Dog shit.

If Makoun does arrive, it might be a bit too much to throw him straight into a derby.
Will he be fit enough?

makoun will be fine i think, as his game is strength and power based he'll love the derby

If he's been playing regularly in France as he seems to have recently then yes.

Not sure about Delph as he is only just coming back. Start with Hogg or Petrov next to Makoun if we have him and then give Delph 20-30 minutes later on.

I think we should keep it Reo Coker and Petrov, My big worry next week is Warnock

Didn't Houllier say that Makoun is too expensive?

Yeah Clark will stay on his feet which is what we need. But this games going to be full throttle and Bentley will be out to impress which is scary

Played well again. Didn't have too much to do but did well when needed.  He headed a few crosses away in the box too.  An assured display.

Really hope Fab is back for the small heath game.  Why are people talking about Makoun like we are about to sign him?  Is there news since GH said we won't match the valuation?

I think he will put Delph on the bench and bring him on at some point i don't want to rush him back and he picks up another injury i also think Clark had a good game

Delph was out for Chelsea, Sunderland and Today.

He's impressed me in the 2 games he played.

Great if we can get Makoun but surely we need to sign him first then obtain a work permit.

Delph was is an £8mil gamble, we have no idea if that gamble has paid off, GH starting him in his first game back was complete madness
