Title: Sorry
Post by: TRUE BLUE on December 02, 2010, 01:25:25 AM
Hi All just joined to say Sorry for the actions of a few of our KNob Heads to claim to be fans,I have  been going to football for over 30 years and i do remember the good old days when we could all go and mix before, during, and after the match.99%of them fans on the park were cowards who would not say boo to a goose but after a few shandys feel mighty big.I dont care who threw the flair first it should never have got past the stewards,It will never happen but i would love to see the good old days back when we can watch from the same stand but it wont happen. If only the courts would bring back the chain gang to sort these tossers out.As for the Game you were the better team but you had so many players out,Albrighton i feel will turn out to be a fantastic player so i was glad he was out,Gabby will always score against us we just cant stop him.Im sure you will pick up when you get your players back and good look for the rest of the season,Best wishes Bill

The last thing that us decent fans should do is apologise for the scum within our game.

Thanks for the kind words,I think it is sad that i feel like we lost tonight so was it worth it,If the prats who ran on the pitch want to fight join the army and got over to Afghanistan
but oh no for that you MUST be Brave and have BALLS so no joy there.I work with lots of villa fans and we have loads of banter but for once i wont really want it ,I have been to 87 football grounds with blues but all this makes me think why bother,Sad to say but when we play west ham i can see the same thing win or lose...I do think the police tonight were slack as this could have been seen weeks ago,I would hate to think any good person who went to the game for the football was hurt or made feel unsafe that aint football ,Im sure we will see a lot of them clowns in the mail over the coming days and im sure they will be getting a early morning call from the police very soon.

Agreed with what you said here Bill... moronic behaviour tonight, there was no need to storm the pitch, why look for trouble after you've just won? It just doesn't make any sense and hopefully those lowlifes are banned for life. I wish we could get on, have a bit of banter and that's it, none of this nonsense. Do you think the family stand will be now closed for when West Ham visit in February?

And yeah I hope our season does pick up... we're playing well but not just getting the job at the moment. You really did punish us on the break for your second goal.

I can only echo the sentiments of others Bill.  Fair play to you.  There has been many a time when I have felt almost embarrassed to be a fan, whether it be Villa or England.  It's the fault of the idiots, not the true fans like us.  All the best mate.

I have banter with my Blues mates and it never gets out of hand because it's banter. the idiots on both sides last night have watched Green Street a few too many times. I wonder how many of the invading Blues fans will be travelling to Millwall to give it the large one?

Cheers Bill. Nice to see such positive comments. I think all the prats that ran onto the pitch should be identified as forced to go to Milwall as punishment ;)

On a serious note, the policing was direbolical.  Why on earth did the police decide to give the prats from the Addies that decided to walk a police escort? We were in the traffic jam down by Halfords Lane. When we asked the police what the held up was, he said "I can't explain mate, there's fighting going on around you" There wasn't, it was just fans walking to a ground! Couldnt organise a piss up in a Brewery!
That held up all the traffic coming through the Express Way! They should have made them get on a coach and be done with it.

Did anyone else see the Lulus chasing each other round by Mcdonalds Island last night!??

Then the panto is over and normality is resumed.
These morons who really believe the bullshit we post about each other and think it's really real need to get a grip on reality and life.  Do all Villa supporters really believe Noses are scum? No they realise that as with all clubs there is an idiotic element who just want to cause trouble.
The timing of it could not be worse for the World Cup bid and that will hit all football supporters.
What a shame that the idiots win again..

Isn't that just so refreshing? I too remember the days when blokes would watch Villa one Saturday and Blues the next. Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to put that up on our site. As others have said, we have just as many knob-heads as you. Yours probably had more time to imbibe those fruit juice flavoured vodka drinks that remind them of the juices that Mom used to give them when they were little.

Bill good post.
I am one of those who thinks that both Villa and City should by up there vying for Champions League place. Our City deserves that and no way London and Manchester should be better than us. So it with great sadness that we see the name of Birmingham dragged into mud by our own citizens.  These idiots are NOT football supporters because if they were they would have realised the immense satisfaction and pride of beating the Villa and marching in the Semi final of a major cup. There is no better feeling and if Villa had won last night I would have cherished that moment rather than spoil it.
Title: Re: Sorry
Post by: pedro25 on December 02, 2010, 01:46:51 PM
Does football help itself though, segregating citizens of the same city from each other, like caged animals, riot police and dogs patrolling the stands and streets, it makes it all seem so much more menacing for me.  Closing streets/pubs/early kick offs/choppers etc bigs it up so much so that trouble is almost inevitable.  Would a more low key approach help, sadly I fear not.  The Welsh/Scottish cant stand the English but sit with them at the Rugby and dont try to smash each others heads in.  It's so tribalistic separating the fans, and most of the trouble makers only give it the bigun when they're with hundreds of their own side, would they be so hard if they didn't know who the people sat near them supported?

I am sorry but I draw the line on believing they should be vying for a Champions League place.  I hate them, want them to lose every fixture except if it does us a favour and if we never play them again it will 20 years too soon.

Would it be possible for the non-violent minority to hold up a massive banner at the next Blues game saying "BLUES AGAINST HOOLIGANISM" or some such thing?

I think a lot of fans see themselves as upholding club pride by behaving like pricks to opposing fans, would be nice for them to see that most of their own fans can't stand them.

If Blues do this against Spurs I see no reason why Villa can't do similarly against Albion in our next home game.

Hi Salsa i think as at most grounds the stewards are just a group of young people who meet up one hour before kick off for home games.I would be shocked to find out they have any training which is shocking, Maybe If clubs had to have trained people it might help or bring in a good private group but all is would not be needed if the prats could stay in their seats,If i had my way i would leave it to the army,No power to arrest but the power to make sure they never did it again no questions asked. It cant be easy to be a steward when faced with the scum we saw yesterday.

Our stewards are well-trained and I'd be surprised if Blues aren't - the days of doing the job to watch the match free are long gone. Mostly ours do a good job, but when hundereds are trying to get onto the pitch from all four sides, realistically you'd need almost as many stewards as potential invaders to stop them.

Thank for reply :) and should we bring our stewards in the game to work with blues stewards and police.

We do take our own stewards to the Sty, and have done every game since 2002. About 20 go. It was Villa stewards doing the searching as we went in on Wednesday night, and then they were amongst the ones at the front of the Villa section, during the game. There's usually two supervisors amongst the twenty, who take their orders from one of the Blues supervisors.
Don't know if it's still the case, but Blues used to use the Rock Steady company for most of their stewards, I think it was.

I cant see what any authority can do to stop this. God knows I cant claim any moral high ground as I've been involved in a fair ammount of disorder in my younger days, not something I'm proud of now. The only way out I can see is if fans of both sides make a organised , public stand to say ' No more'.
Even then I doubt this will ever stop. We hate them, they hate us and never the twain shall meet

I agree with Dave, if people are going on the pitch you'd need about 5 lines of them round the perimeter to prevent it but there must be questions asked of our lot how someone can get past a search with a boat flare - its not like hiding a bit of weed in your shoe.

To be fair to the stewards who searched us all on the way in, it was that cold I had about five layers on and could have easily taken in a whole load of things that I wasn't supposed to, it would have taken a bloody long time to do a really thorough search of everyone going into the ground as most were dressed like eskimos.
