Appendicitis?
Rumours online.
Let's hope it's not true.
-
arse biscuits...
-
3 weeks out.
-
I'm beginning to think that Legion is in charge of the Villa training and medical staff
-
Aaaaaaaaarggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Just what we needed.
-
We missed him Sunday. He's going to be a major player for us.
-
This is getting silly now.
-
We really needed him for the Carling Cup game.
Not so confident without him. He would've torn Ridgewell apart.
-
3 weeks is very optimistic I would say it will be more like 6 !!
-
What?
Take it out, a bit of Lucozade and some grapes and he'll be right as rain.
-
Appendix will be a lot more than 3 weeks I tell ya
My mate was in agony for quite a while after he had his out
-
This is fucking stupid.
-
What?
Take it out, a bit of Lucozade and some grapes and he'll be right as rain.
Then eat it on some bread with some chili sauce.
-
It's as if we are having a decades full of injuries in one season.
-
It's official now.
Fuckity fuck!
-
Was hoping it was flu .... oh FFS
-
One of us must have shot an albatross. Who was it? Own up you bugger.
-
We must be the unluckiest fucking club in the world.
-
One of us must have shot an albatross. Who was it? Own up you bugger.
It was the Ancient VillaSubmariner I bet.
No wonder he's ran off to Australia.
-
Appendicitis?
Pah. Run it off.
-
Bollocks, why him, why why why why why? This simply isn't funny, now. What's in the water at Bodymoor Heath - get Panorama down there to investigate, I smell a nose plot to nobble our talent.
-
Out for two months, appendicitis is nasty >:(
-
Has MON cursed us?
-
One of us must have shot an albatross. Who was it? Own up you bugger.
Legion shot it but missed and hit the holy ghost of Mother Teresa in the face, she then plummeted into an orphange and destroyed it. There has to be... consequences.
-
Can we blame the new fitness coach for that??
-
Can we blame the new fitness coach for that??
We can only blame evolution

Albatross, shouldn't this be on the nautical thread?
-
I wouldn't mind Jessica Alba, trussed.
Like so... thanks google. You never fail to amaze. (http://www.perfectpeople.net/photo-picture-image-media/Jessica-Alba-714x510-37kb-media-270-media-102775-1137291909.jpg)

I smell a nose plot to nobble our talent.
I guess they were after Collins when they got Sidders then!
-
Mark Noble had an appendicitis op at the beginning of Nov and played against Liverpool last week - so 3 weeks will be about right.
I hope he doesn't leave Downing on the right - he's much less effective there though I guess he doesn't have many options.
-
Just recovered from the same thing, was up and on my feet after a fortnight but not back to full (working) fitness till this week
4 weeks in all.
-
wthl marc out hope he will use gabby on the right wing, downing on left wing and ashley young just behind carew
-
I don't think we should train for the rest of the week give us a chance to out 11 out on Saturday.
Honestly, it's ridiculous. One step forward, two steps back.... we had Clark fit again for Blackburn, but then Albrighton and Collins drop out. Carew makes a return this week in the reserves, now Albrighton's ruled out for three weeks.....
There are injury problems and then there's our situation, which is verging on unbelievable.
-
Since making his debut he's missed a hell of a lot of games for Villa. I hope he's not gonna be another injury prone player akin to the likes of David Dunn, Kieran Dyer etc.
-
Mark Noble had an appendicitis op at the beginning of Nov and played against Liverpool last week - so 3 weeks will be about right.
It was 10 days between the op and the game according to the commentators. Whether he had pain killing injections or not I don't know but it shows that with a club's medical resources, the turnaround time would be much faster than if it were any of us.
-
Oh no! MB is the one player who has managed to keep me smiling throughout the difficult start to this season. Get well soon, Marc.
-
Bloody hell. Get well soon Marc.
-
Is this about right then?

-
I thought NRC was only going to be out for 3 weeks, is he close now?
-
I thought NRC was back this week but Carew out for another week?
-

Carew played an hour of the reserves match. How "fit" he is is therefore up for debate I suppose.
-
Really annoying, he'd have had a stormer in that cup game.

haha, I'd go for it Risso.
-
Someone will get called up the Jury Duty next and it'll be a huge case locking them from the outside world for six weeks.
Just glad no one went in to 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here'
-
Just been told the new club doctor diagnosed it on Sunday. If he hadn't, and Marc had played, the consquences don't bear thinking about.
-
wthl marc out hope he will use gabby on the right wing, downing on left wing and ashley young just behind carew
No way, I'd play Delfouneso on the wing Instead of gabby, delboy is far more skillfull.
But I'd go 442 gabby and Carew against the arse. Clark in midfield for Hogg, if Collins is fit.
-
It's a shame our season could likely be over by the time January comes round and everyone's fit plus a couple of stellar players are signed.

Nope i would go 4 4 2........fonz, gabby up front with young on r/w and downing on l/w
-
Mark Noble's operation was on the 1st November and he returned to playing on the 13th.
-
Christ it never rains...
Hopefully we can return Ash to the wing now.

On reflection yeah I agree, arsenel are not a physical side and Delboy should get himself a few chances against their shit defence.
-

They caught his really early, so that might be a reason why he quickly recovered.

Once it's out, it's out. Makes no difference to the recovery time, all down to the healing process of that person. I was back at works in less than 3 weeks - mine was about to pop!
-
From that squad list I think Baker's injured too.
-
Time to step up Gary Mac...
-
This is why I'm surprised people are getting frustrated with our inconsistant form.
Look at this injury, Marc was brilliant against Manure and would've taken a lot of confidence from consistantly beating a world class fan like Evra so a real chance to get some golden form going.
What happens, he's injured now so all the momentum has been lost. We won't get this season properly going until mid January imo.
-
Play Gabby and Delfouneso. Christ, the kid scored and is dropped, then he scores again in reserves.
Carew has not earned a start at all.
So, I'd play Gabby and Fonz up front with Downing and Young wide, Bannan and Clark in the middle maybe.
Not ideal but not too shabby either.

I agree. Lets see if those two forwards can work together, they maybe the future.
-
I actually think if we do go back to 2 upfront which might be a case of needs must, then I'd like to see Gabby and the Fonz aswell as I think they could link up quite well.
-
Definitely Gabby & Fonz for me too.
-
I remember the last couple of seasons thinking how lucky we'd been with injuries. MON was able to pick the same eleven week in, week out, as it seemed no-one ever got injured.
That luck has really evened itself out in the last couple of months. If anything, we're probably in credit by now.
-
MON probably played certain players when they were injured such was his reliance on the same 11.
-
On Friday I saw James Collins Jr playing for Burton Albion on loan - might not be ready for the premier league just yet but he's match fit, puts himself about and he's scoring goals surely given the current casualty list its worth recalling him just in case the Fonz is struck down with in an ingrowing toe nail or pink boot syndrome before Blues away.
-
Definitely Gabby & Fonz for me too.
Ye really seeing Gabby and the Fonz against the scum. They know the score being local lads and would put everything into that game. Hope Cowans has a word in Houlliers ear ..............
-
Real shame this is but appendicitis is a real nasty thing to have, he must be in real pain but hopefully he make a quick recovery after his surgery.
-
Appendicitis? hardly major surgery FFS! I was back at work 4 days after having mine out
-

I mentioned a few weeks ago about how our injury luck changed after he went to the open training session at Villa Park!
-
I honestly think we're going to have to fish round for another out of contract player, it's getting desperate now.
-
Just need a flu outbreak and we wont be able to put a team out. I have some old Gola footy boots somewhere................
-

What sort of work do you do? Does it involve running 10k in 90 minutes, twisting, turning, lunging. It is also hardly minor surgery. I was was nil-by-mouth and then liquids only for the first week. Followed by another week on light foods. If Noble was back in 10 days he must get changed in a telephone box.
-

Puff. I had mine out in mid-air while completing a parachute rescue of a stranded polar bear and worked a 48 hour shift before stopping for a couple of Aspirin.
More seriously, I think we have to review our expectations. Anything that the team can do over the next few weeks is a bonus and I hope that we're all sensible enough to see that.
-
I think we should special dispensation from the Premier League to get a 1-0 head start in every game.

That's how I'm trying to approach the period to the New Year Chris - difficult though in the heat of matches when you're desperate from them to win. Can't imagine there'll be much leeway given if we get turned over in the cup next week.
-
Why is this happening to us let's just hope we get no more players on the treatment table, i reckon i should bring my boots and make a comeback on saturday.
-
Most of us on here must fancy our chances of getting a game now.
-
I think we should special dispensation from the Premier League to get a 1-0 head start in every game.
We'd still go and concede in the last minute.

After the opposition had equalised 5 minutes previously

I had my Appendix out and was at home 24 hours later. Good Hope Hospital needed the bed.
Course, I was back in Good hope hospital 10 hours after that and stuck there for four weeks with one tube down my nose and another up my cock because the fucking surgeon had twisted my bowels putting them back in after the appendix op. >:(
-

Gives me an idea - anyone seen that film Invincible about the barman who attends an open trial with the Philadelphia Eagles and ends up with a 3 year contract?
Villa should do the same at the weekend - If I'm honest probably past my best now but there must be some lads on here that are a bit tasty in the power leagues, prize on offer a short term contract up till the January transfer window and a place on the bench for next Wednesday.
-
With all this advancement in medical secience why are we still so barbaric as to having to cut parts of the human body out of open cuts we make? When are we going to get Star Trek like technology that we can just scan something over the affected area two or three times and the problems solved? just plain daft.
-
Big loss, probably our only matchwinner on the sick list though which is good, just wish we could stiffen up central midfield, losing Delph, Milner, Petrov and NRC is killing us, plus Ireland being rubbish.
-
Big loss, probably our only matchwinner on the sick list though
Don't bloody curse it or we'll have reports of Ash and Downing out for the season..
-
Did he have the op yet? Hope it went well.
