'Arry threatens media silence (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/8103560/Tottenham-Hotspur-manager-Harry-Redknapp-threatens-vow-of-silence-over-Nani-mess.html)
Pleeeeeeeeeeeease let this happen.
-
Hopefully Jamie Redknapp will refuse to put his smarmy face on Sky again 'n all.
-
Spurs biggest game ever since Benfica in about 1962 apparently. In fact, I reckon it is probably the biggest game ever since the Second World War....yawn
-
It would never happen.
The man is a media whore.
-
He'd manage to keep his enormous mouth closed for about three days before accidentally talking about someone else's player, "triffic" this, "triffic" that, the gobshite.
-
I just hope old saggy chops go's through with what he is saying he will do if he is charged.
-
Harry Redknapp and 'media silence' is a physical impossibility.
-
anything that keeps the droopy faced hypocritical cowardly twitching cockerney barraboy off my tv...
bellend...
-
I really, really, really despise that prick. More than any other manager (even O'Leary). He's a hypocrite of the highest order.
-
I'd be delighted to see him fined then see him not on my tv with his flabby face ever again. It would be great
I do think however he has a point but you have to think of the plusses in these situations
-
Yet again the FA do fuckall about Fergiscum and everyone can follow suit.
The difference is balloon face is that as much as i despise Fergie he has 20+ trophies under his belt and the media / FA need him more than he needs them
You on the other hand have one FA cup won by default with a team of mercenaries that you could not afford
Talk about a man with dillusions of grandeur

And presumably that will include your weekly - paid - national newspaper column will it 'Arry?
-
Have to go against the grain here and say I'm with 'Arry on this one at least.
If the Premier League insist a manager or assistant answers questions from some pleb with a mike immediately after a game then they or the FA can't complain if they give their honest opinions.
Sky want controversy so they can fill the news channel for several days (also the only possible reason they could have chosen our Cup game at The Sty for live coverage), so the said pleb is under orders to ask the questions that might get the reply they want.
Maybe Arry/Fergie and the like should just turn up for the interview and answer "Didn't see it" to every question or if the question begins with the old favourite "How important...." answer something like "Very important" or "Unimportant in comparison to famine and worldwide poverty".
Then see if the people at Sky choose to run with that on every news bulletin for next couple of days.

Well he faces no charges. This presumeably means you can call the referee a farce and that is acceptable in a respect campaign.

FA not wanting to upset their next choice for England manager?
-
Redknapp said he was serious about boycotting the media. “The FA want it both ways,” he said. “They want us to talk about the game, but not talk about it. I could just come out and refuse to talk about anything. Unfortunately I have to go and speak to the press afterwards and if I get asked a question I give an honest answer. Do they want me to tell a load of lies?”
He has a point here, to a certain extent. If all prem managers stonewalled any controversial questions along the lines of "no comment", then the media would soon be putting pressure on FA to be more lenient.
If the Premiership is a soap opera, the managers need to play their part in the melodrama.
