Title: Blues in the Carling Cup
Post by: Stu on November 01, 2010, 07:58:56 PM
Hey peeps, I'm on the beg for a ref number in case there's any ST holders out there that aren't going, I really fancy this one.

Can do Paypal or send you a cheque.

Cheers :)

Do people reckon this will reach people with a mere away booking history? Or will they all get snapped up by season ticket holders?

I don't think it'll go beyond ST holders.

The sale dates indicate they'll go on sale to everyone with an away booking history. Also, anyone who went to any of the first two Carling Cup games look good for a ticket.

Absolute disgrace from Villa.

How many of our core away following will have actually been to BOTH carling cup games this year??? I go to 10-15 away games a year and have a season ticket yet because I couldn't make it to the CC fixtures I have to miss out!

How can it be that someone who travels 1000+ miles following villa misses out on an away game yet someone who fancied a couple of cheap tickets for VP in half term week can snap up any remaining tickets.

Pathetic.

The club stated at the start of the season that priority for semis/finals would be given to those who had attended games in previous rounds of the same competition as well as those who travelled away regularly.  I presume they're using the same criteria for this game as they know there'll be a high take up on tickets.

The allocation is shit.

I know plenty of regular away goers who couldn't make both carling cup games who have now got to wait to see if they can get a ticket. For those saying 'where does it say that?', it says 'both games AND 5 away games'.

As for the allocation i hope it was the police that limited our allocation and not us agreeing with Blues to accept 3800 tickets, they give teams 4200 in the league ffs.

Most of them I would imagine.  I consider we are 'core' away supporters and all the people we know who are also 'core' away supporters  never miss a game, home or away.

Begging bowl out folks.
If anyone can help with two s/t refs, I'd be very, very grateful, even if they've got no history on. ( I'll take my chances with them on 11th November).
There's ten or a dozen people on H & V, I regularly help out with refs and tickets for away games, so if some one can help me out that'd be great.
Thanks very much in advance.

It is sold out. Someone said we're asking for more tickets, maybe they'll ask them to reconsider their decision and give us the extra 400 tickets they're leaving empty in our end but i doubt it and Blues have sold all their tickets.

My mate rang around lunchtime and was told they all went in the first hour. I forgot to start ringing at 9, remembered at 9.20, and got through to order seven at 9.40. That must have been a close call for me by the sounds of it!.

Anyone who has spares and is looking for someone to pass them onto, take into consideration who you want to have one of these precious and much sought-after tickets for what is going to be a night when we must all play our part.

In other words, bagsie me first one.

I saw that, they're saying 3000 season ticket holders didn't take up their tickets i think but they put their tickets on general sale straight away so it is sold out. I'd guess a lot of those 3000 season ticket holders were kids who were stopped from going by parents.

I know a few Blose season ticket holders who bought their tickets when they went on general sale and they got a bit twitchy about having to wait.

I know.  Was a daft way to sell tickets though.  Put them on general sale first then sell to season ticket holders.

I think one of the considerations from them was to sell the general allocation tickets before ours had gone on sale to stop Villa fans buying into their end.

That is true. So if anyone finds themself in possession of a spare for the Villa end I'd be delighted to take it off their hands (always assuming Mr Woodhall has first been accomodated).

In the very unlikely event of anyone having a spare and nobody to give it too I will happily take it off your hands.. Looks a pub in Nottingham is going to have the misfortune of having me in it for this.
