Anyone else noticed this lately? He was turfed out of France by Le Boss because he was lazy etc. He knows it is probably all over for him at Villa. A few days ago he was praising the new fitness regime - funny that considering how lazy this guy is. Today he was bleeting on about the impact of Houllier.
Fair enough he could simply be giving the man some credit for the work thus far, but the cynical asshole in me is that it is Carew kissing ass to try and stay around a bit longer. :-X

FFS. Carew has rarely said a bad thing about anyone at Villa, about MON, about the fans and he hasn't about Houllier. Why can't you just take his comments at face value? He's an experienced pro who's now in his 30's and I expect will likely move on for one last big pay day. It will make sense for him, and it will make sense for the club. He's saying the right things like he always has.

Have to agree with Toronto Villa. Sometimes footballers are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.
-
Agree with the last two comments. Debate all you want about about how effective he is on the pitch, but off the pitch I cant see he has ever said a word out of place .
-
I'd argue in praise of his honesty, chances are he's not keen on Houllier, but he's praising the new regime for it's professionalism.
Good on you John.

Where is this dam people are talking about? Is Carew in it? Is there a problem with our water supply in Birmingham this year?
-
Carew heard there was beaver in the dam, and couldn't get there fast enough
-
Downing and Heskey have put a shift in, Carew must be the new scapegoat
-
I wish he did more kicking ass

We should hold some sort of ceremony and present a wooden spoon.

It's the law Phil, after a few indifferent performances, we must write a player off. If it goes the other way (e.g 3 good performances from Emile Heskey), then we must go totally overboard about how brilliant they are.

Are you implying Villa fans are fickle?
