Title: Fulham Away
Post by: Comrade Blitz on October 02, 2010, 09:46:44 PM
Looking for 2 tickets for this match - would be grateful for any help from ST holders. PM me please if you aren't going (and then tell me how to go about booking the tickets as well - I'm a newbie)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

John

or if you want to buy the tickets yourself - happy to meet in Brum to collect and pay. Whatever works for you.

It's normally a piece of piss getting tickets in the "neutral" section, you'd easily get them direct from the fulham website

Can't make Fulham, so have 2 adult season ticket reference numbers you can use. Could meet up at Chelsea game if that works. PM me

Havent been to Fulham in years, having a neutral section sounds most civilised to me.
Do they have something similar at small heath ? No ?

Talking to a Spurs fan at work today who went to Craven Cottage for the Spurs Fulham game on Saturday.

Knowing full well that the neutral end would be full of Spurs fans, Fulham were charging £49 to sit there.

I hate Spurs and most of their fans, but that's effing ridiculous. Absolute piss take.

Then again, no other club even has a "neutral end" so it's not that bad really. I'm sure Spurszzz season ticket holders with a history of attending away games would've been able to get cheaper tickets in the away end.

So why do Fulham "only" charge £35 for neutral tickets when we're playing there in a few weeks.

Fulham knew full well that the neutral end would be a de-facto away end when Spurs play there and have just cashed in.

I am very close to reaching my tipping point now. I said I'd never go to a game that cost 30 quid for a ticket, then I vowed never to pay more than £35, then £40......

They probably charged more for Spurszz than us in all stands what with it being a 'derby' of sorts. I agree re ticket pricing though, I always used to refuse to go to grounds that charged more than £30 a pop. Now even Villa charge some teams in excess of £40. Nobody seems to have told football clubs that there's a recession on.

Got two tickets through for me and a mate in the Villa end.  Really looking forward to it, never been down there before.  One slight concern is when I flip the tickets over there is only half a stadium plan on the back of them until the perforated edge.  Can anybody help shed any light as to whether part of each ticket is missing or it's normal practice for them to only print half a stadium plan on the back of the tickets.  Many thanks

We noticed that with our tickets too. Have a look on Google Maps, sure there will be pictures of the ground anyway.

Thanks ADVF, that's reassuring, just seemed odd that half the ground was missing, including where we are sitting.  There is a decent stadium plan on their website too so I now know roughly where I am sitting.  Thanks.

I know this is very short notice, but I've recently arrived in London all the way from Australia and was hoping to watch the villa this weekend.  Since I don't have a booking history, is there any way (or anyone from whom) I can get 1 or 2 tickets?  If I ring Villa, will I need a booking history same as I would online?

I tried Fulham's website but they're sold out, and I can't access seatwave either.

Thanks in advance.

If its your first rip down you'll enjoy it. Try and have a drink away from the ground first as it'll be packed - unless you want the Villa singing in pubs atmosphere. If you can, stay around afterwards and wonder into Putney. Never any hint of trouble and always the best away day in the calendar.

It is sold out, but they had nine returns the other day so perhaps that's what that was about.

Should have a good 4000 down there with the neutral bit. Always a good away day.

At this moment there are two seats (not together) in the neutral end on the Fulham website. You need to register. After two myself, but I need them together (Am with child). Was watching them, hoping some adjacent seats would come up, but conscience got the better of me, so I thought I would share this with fellow H&Vers. Sad, first time I have missed this game for about 5 years.

The OS still says tickets are available and earlier this week was saying availability was good in all blocks.  The club should make sure it is updating the site more frequently by the sounds of it.

My brother was told on the phone that he could return tickets up to 48hrs before the game and then when he turned up to do so on Weds, was told that in fact, he couldn't. They are normally spot on in the TO but leaving someone with £70worth of tickets through giving out bad info isn't really on at all.

Park in Putney. There are some unrestricted residential roads just outside (south) of the south circular. I always park in the same spot for both Saturday Fulham games and Chelsea games. About 20/30 min walk to ground, but a very pleasant walk down the High St and over the river. Some roads closer to Putney High St are restricted on Saturdays, but get a few hundred yds away to the west, and they are only restricted on Mon-Fri. PM me if you want a particular road name.
